So, I've been a bit out of the loop lately (finalscomingholyshitsendhelp) My questions (referral to other threads welcome, cuz I've looked): The Limited Edition has been delayed and possibly the regular edition as well? Does the LE come with the complete soundtrack, or just the vocal songs? Are some of the songs in the soundtrack are extremely low quality bit-rate (Sin's theme) or are the versions floating around just dummy files? Are people panicking over nothing? Is the game as ridiculously fun as it looks? Will I get another warning for this post?

I am happy that you were able to figure it out. But I am also fucking JEALOUS because not ONLY do I have to wait 2 weeks until I'm home, I ALSO have to buy a goddamn new bluray drive for my fat fuck backwards compatible PS3 that I've got on life support with new thermal paste applications ever few months. Question is, and I KNOW we don't speculate in this thread, but who is going to be the 18th character to make the roster even? Because unless they have an extra special spot for Leo, the character select screen's gonna be lopsided as fuck. Xrd added 2 newcomers, so if the above quotation is to be believed, who is the third newcomer? (We've got Amane and Bulltet, who is our Azrael?) Also, does that recent post about Elphelt's free download mean I can buy a physical copy and download her for free before Jan. 5th? Or would it be some digital only BS? I'm assuming the former. Voices sound good too. Venom made me fucking laugh. PROFESSIONALS ONLY PLEASE. It's bordering on so bad it's good territory. Definitely unexpected, I'll say that.

What the heck are you guys talking about? If you want to play, or more specifically, get GOOD at zoning, the only logical choice is to play Potemkin. Never before have I appreciated the art of character spacing than when I desperately try to close the distance between myself and someone who wants nothing to do with Ol' Pote. Before you can zone and control the screen, you must grow to hate the screen. Every single pixel that separates a grappler from his opponent becomes your enemy. You must study and become familiar with this enemy, for only then will you have the power to control it. It is the blind man that is often the one who can truly see! Or, you know, you could be an all around cool dude and play Axl because there aren't enough good Axl players.

The hype is fuckin palpable god damn. December can't come fast enough. And yeah, I'd like to know about the localization too, though I realize not much info probably available on the topic. Arc System Works has only ever done 2 things wrong, and that is replace Tony Oliver's Bang Shishigami and Doug Erholtz' Hazama, for no reason at all I might add. I really hope they just let Aksys do it for fuck's sake. Aksys-supervised dubs are always decent at worst, stellar at best. Virtue's Last Reward has one of the best VG dubs ever. More importantly, Aksys has a great talent pool to draw from and know how to cast a fucking character. Certainly better than making a shonen-ninja-warrior sound like a tired old man. I love Steve Kramer, but a match for Bang he is not (yes I'm still fucking mad).

But XRD is coming out for consoles soon. You will be playing Xrd at home by the end of the year (God willing). Do you know what that means? It means it's time for MASSIVE HYPERBOLE, GROSS, UNFOUNDED SPECULATION, AND HYPE OVERLOAD! *MEET AGAIN INTENSIFIES* Hype raging aside, I just hope this last bit of news amounts to something. While I'm looking forward to more GG vets getting in, I'd be lying if I said that nothing gets me more hype than when characters who were previously thought dead and gone forever come back. I don't even play him, but I flipped my shit when is was revealed that Zato was fucking alive again (even though it makes zero difference fighting wise). Now we hear murmurings about JUSTICE? Sign me the hell up. I just like the direction Xrd seems to be heading with the story. It's going to be over the top ridiculousness that will hopefully allow for all manner of glorious ass-pulls to get characters like Kliff, Justice, and even Order Sol into the same game as Ramlethal, Bedman and Sin. I mean, who doesn't want to see a massive Armored Commander Gear fight against a sadistic, calculating kid strapped to a mechanical torture bed-robot that runs on children's nightmares?

Edit: I know better than to look, but God almighty some of the comments on that SRK article gave me an aneurysm. Is this the audience Xrd is releasing to in the west? I fucking hope not.

Such excellent taste in characters. That's so fucking awesome that classic music got confirmed. Though if I can be greedy for a minute, I would LOSE MY FREAKING MIND if they offered the HEavy Rock versions of the GGX tracks. They're just so damn amazing. And Leo's on the cover. 10/10 will mane. Also, looking at that screenshot of him and the other lady, that is one bitchin looking room they're in. I thought those columns in the back were a fucking pipe organ for a minute. I'll reiterate that Xrd looks so unbelievably gorgeous that even the surroundings are fun to look at. Oh, and why does that unknown chick look like one of the senators sans mask? IS it just me?

This is true. However I feel the need to point out that this is the exact same thing that happened with Elphelt, except she didn't even show up so prominently in a trailer. Instead she just appeared in a few images from story mode, and before anyone could say "Who's this bitch supposed to be-" *BAM* Elphelt confirmed. Also, Zepp Flight Director... pffffft. Gabriel when?

Speaking of not getting their main, It's quite amusing to see the trends featured in any Xrd related comments section. From IGN to Shoryuken to Youtube to 4chan, I've noticed a definite trend in character demand. Now, disregarding the inevitable Bridget faggolas, I'd definitely say that Baiken and Johnny are the most "WHENS X?!" characters, followed closely by Jam. Interestingly enough and clashing directly with the reported Japanese popularity polls, I've seen quite a few Testaments too, as well as the occasional A.B.A. I don't want to derail the discussion, but I would definitely agree that, after Leo, I'd love to see Baiken and Johnny be the next returning veterans. Does anyone know what the majority opinion is in Japan? I know Daisuke/Pachi said they were adding characters based on playstyle variety so it's sort of up in the air now that the Xrd roster is feeling a lot more filled out.

It doesn't matter who you play because everyone who plays GG should bear witness to the deity-level skill exhibited by Ogawa, and lucky for you Goldenrody just uploaded like 4 videos of just that. The only thing more God-affirming than Ogawa Zato is FAB working miracles with XRD Chumpkin, who, despite repeated and supported conclusions that correctly deny his outright shittiness, is still the worst character by far in a game that features the likes of Chipp "FIND MEH" Zanuff, Sol "Totally Fafnired" Badguy, and Ramlethal "Damage for days" Valentine. What's more, FAB was the only one able to beat Ogawa in those aforementioned videos. Admittedly, I shed a tear, for I had never before seen such an awesome display of such unbridled Zeppian Patriotism in the face of such overwhelming odds. Oh yeah, and Samitto's Chipp is great for long elevator rides if you've got a internet capable mobile device, because one way or another, the match is over in around a minute or so.
