You don't have to be a mod, but if you want me to I can make one for you. If you do make one however, it's fine by me, and I in fact encourage people to be active in the forums (as long as all rules are being followed )

That will rarely work, but its a good way to go through them if they're not careful hahaha. Lately i've opt to do Killrush SB on reaction though, on the right spacing it'll get a counterhit which is always nice
-
You should, even if 5b isnt a fatal anymore, it'll improve your coordination, and later on when 5b fc is removed we'll find new routes and though you'll have to relearn them, you'll have the skill necessary to do so.

5AA > 2B > 5B > Killrush A > 8A > 4A > 6C > 2AB > 8B > 4B(full) > 8B > 4D > 2C/6B > B Upper 2AB is a sweep, you are going from a weave, to a sweep, to sonic upper B (8B). If you get a 2b counter hit, try to jump back at the moment it connects by jump cancelling (so 2B, hold up back), then air dash (66) and catch the dude with jB
-
How on earth do you connect a sweep into sonic upper B o-o What part of the jb loops are giving you trouble specifically?

Junpei is extremely weak in this game. The only threats you'll have from him are his annoying jB, and his rather fast AoA mixups with his slide. If you train your eyes to see his AoA though he's pathetically weak in this version. Make sure to not let him get runners at all costs. I sometimes drop my own combos just to make sure im close to getting him an out if I see he's close to getting a homerun, to a point where I'll sometimes let him hit me once more just to burst out, get an out, and eliminate his runners. If he has no runs, then he's no threat. Treat him like you would most of the cast. I'd say this MU is 6-4 in aki favor or 7-3 in aki favor.

5-5, out-protein your fellow protein brother. In all seriousness, respect Akihiko's pressure, don't just dp because EX hook damage is real. Dont just roll out either. I've found a good way to deal with akihikos is to instant block their rekkas, then as soon as they stop doing A hooks and sonics and change it up to whatever else, 2AAA will often either break their pressure, or if they use EX hook it'll slow it down enough that you can react to it and DP counter it. Be wary of jC's since it seems to be a favorite for most online Akihiko's, block it, punish it with ex rush since its mad unsafe. Stay mobile, but remember to always keep an eye on the enemy so as to not jump face first into their jB's or other moves.

Very hard and annoying matchup for akihiko, everytime yukari places her persona, be careful of her next arrow shot, even if it misses you at first odds are the arrow will fly right back at you, so if you were thinking of doing 5A pressure or something you'll get counter hit, and yukari's damage is no joke. If you can break her persona do it, but dont take unnecessary risks, and advance slowly. Remember she will never truly be backed against a wall since she can yosuke-style jump out while still shooting arrows at you. Your best bet is to properly space her in such a way that you can establish pressure, while still being able to react to her get-away jump. Dont just go in, be smart about it. If you can, finish her off before awakening, otherwise try to keep 50~ meter for her awakening since she'll definitely do magarula. Odds are that they'll be able to hit you even if you guard roll cancel, but sometimes it'll get you out of that tight spot. Overall i'd say its 6-4 on yukaris favor, or 5-5 in best conditions because akihiko can REALLY make it hurt for her, but sadly I dont have enough MU experience to give a good grade. .

This matchup is very hard for akihiko because he can easily get blowned up with random grabs/guesses/proper pressure into grabs, however Akihiko's damage is so huge in this game I can easily say this is probably in Aki's advantage if only slightly with 6-4. As usual, doing pressure is very risky, and you will want to go in, but try to constantly move out to make him grab the air. Sometimes taking risks will help, such as cross ups, to force the kanji player to DP or do more command grabs. They will also spend a lot of their time in the air, so with proper spacing you can grab them out of the air to force them to stay on the ground. Remember to punish Kanji's persona if he sets the persona for that long range air grab by getting far, then jumping at the persona after take mikazuchi has done the giant leap. You can also punish primal force if you IB or if kanji forgets to call him back for lightning pressure. Once Kanji's persona is broken, go nuts. Go in like you've never gone in. With no DP, and no anti air command grab, that is your chance to make everything a world of hurt for him.

I HATE THIS FIGHT WITH THE PASSION OF 1000 BURNING SUNS. This is easily the worst matchup for akihiko in the entire game. A smart sho will force you to respect his dash-teleport thingamajigger, you can't anti air him, you can't space him, you can't really DP his pressure, and he can even dash behind you in the corner for god knows what reason. You'll see your health deplete little by little but constantly throughout the match. My only advice is to take a deep breath, try to find patters or habits in the enemy in front of you, and take random wild guesses to get out of his pressure. Other than that, neutral wise, treat it as the same as minazuki, but without command grabs, just much more annoying. I'd give it a 7-3 or 8-2 in favor of Sho. Maybe if the aki player is god tier 6-4 but that's a hard one to call. I'd say 7-3 is more spot on.

Yes, sadly we can not depend on S holds since they're going to be removed in versus play. Sadly we can't really go in very well because he's legit stronger than Aki. However, he also will blow himself up sooner or later. See, he only has three main ways to opening you up afaik, which is with the SB move overhead into 2A (which is easy to see and block), his command grab, and his normal grab. Crouch block, wait, be patient. Sooner or later a grab will come up. This is your way out. Learn the pattern that particular Minazuki uses, and once you feel the grab coming, jump out or DP to turn the tables around. As you mentioned, jC, 5C and 5D are usually bad. You also don't want to jump in on him because 2B is extremely strong., and in general if he's in the air you can't even anti air him. I've found, however, that most minazuki's are so used to their OP 2b that they'll do it fairly "soon" when you're above them. You can manipulate your own air time with assault dives and delayed jC's to force them to cut that out, and once that's done, its your turn in. I'd say it's 6-4 on minazuki's advantage. Maybe 5-5. It's not too bad since he can die really fast.

Teddie is an annoying match for akihiko. Maybe it is for all of the characters though... Probably 4 to 6 on Teddie's favor, best case scenario 5-5. Thing is, Teddie is just annoying, period. His mixups are hard to beat, he has safe jumps all over the place, and as usual he has unblockable setups that lead to massive damage, etc.etc. As an akihiko player you must respect most of his wake ups. If you try to go at him on wake up with meaties, his DP will destroy you, not to mention that if you do for example a cork B and run up to him while he's waking up, most of them will do Teddie Screw A which is insanely good against akihiko most of the time since aki has a short range to punish it.... but again this doesn't mean you can't punish it or that it's an invincible move, it just means you gotta be careful. In this matchup i'd say its vital to learn Teddie's item orders to at least a degree that you can sort of tell when something is coming to avoid getting hit by unblockables, or those darned buckets. When you are in the corner you must never, ever try to parry any of his moves, dont roll out, just, be patient. Seriously, be patient. If he's going for a grab dont try to grab break it, jump and block, super jump, whatever you do just dont go for the grab. If he baits you successfully it will hurt. Rolling through his persona attacks is a no go either because he'll recover faster than you roll, so dont do that. Remember he can not do anything to you while you are cornered blocking other than grabbing you. All of his moves are literally mid or low, so stand your ground, be patient, learn his pattern, then jump out of the way. Other than that, play as you usually would with akihiko. Do safe jumps, dont go for risky grabs, be patient, and once you're in make it hurt. -Barz

In my own personal opinion I think Adachi - Akihiko is a 5-5 or maybe 4-6 on Aki favor's matchup. Here's my reasoning why: Adachi usually use jC and that one jD move I think it is (the cross slash looking thingamajigger) to completely dominate akihiko on the ground. Sure, Aki can with proper timing anti air him, but this is a high risk action since you could get counter hit into a nasty combo - so do this only if you really think you can get the anti air. Plus, he can instead of doing jC, do the cross slash one to bait your anti air to put the hurt in on you. As an akihiko player, and really as any other character, you can always air grab them if they spend too much time in the air. You have to be specially careful when doing this though, since you really don't want to get that jC counter hit on you. If you make him respect the air a bit though, that's when things get easier. On pressure just block low, they do have command grabs and their DP as an overhead to beat low blocks, but if you are patient and you learn the enemy's patterns, those are easy to block/get out of the way to punish. Finally, Adachi is only really a threat to akihiko on awakening, as he is to anyone else in the game. Akihiko however has an extreme amount of damage for the right amount of meter. Keep your meter. IB as much as you can. Once adachi is somewhere around the 50~60% health Akihiko can just destroy him before he enters awakening, or on worst case scenario, force his burst if you can read that far in. Not only that but Akihiko can destroy Adachi's Ziodyne move on reaction with SB Killrush for nasty damage, and if you are good at blocking you can also bait some of his moves (like atom smasher), just keep in mind that adachi is safe on many of his supers so dont try to punish (unless he did mandala and you are not actually blocking it, in which case punish and enjoy the combo!). -Barz
