  1. Just throwing this out here for those who haven't seen it. Credit goes to @Otanaast for the info and @Juicebox_FGC for compling this guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=478029351 Currently she is the only character that does: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=477535747
  2. I'm guilty of both. They tie in with me being very overzealous with wakup pressure and general offense when I don't need to, especailly when I have the life lead. (e.g. Always going for meaties regardless of the matchup/life lead, jumping in when I feel pressured on defense and getting AA'd.) For Guilty Guilty specifically, I sometimes get way too defensive with Slayer and eat too many throws against my weak matchups. Thankfully this usually goes away once I find gaps in blockstrings and learn said matchup.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to write this up jeef. My defensive game with Slayer isn't very strong, especially whenever I wake up. Going to try implementing these BDC options. Look forward to more, keep up the good work!
  4. My PS4 had similar problems post-DDOS. Had trouble connecting when all my other devices could. You could try entering PS4's safe mode to reset your settings to factory defualt (Option #4).Probably won't help fix Xrd's specific issue, but it should help your get back on PSN. As for Xrd, how is the connection today for those who've logged on? I'm able to log on as normal.
  5. Logged on today and couldn't get past the "Connecting to Server" prompt when the Network mode loads. PSN would give me an error every time I tried. A friend of mine got through, but everything ran real slow for him. Whatever the case, I'd like the think the issue will be resolved as quickly as it came. Prior to this mutliplayer was running smoothly, minus the occasional random disconnect and false connection indicators.
  6. In my experience PSN VOIP is very audible. Maybe your audio settings are set so game audio is prioritized over chat audio. Just a thought. I'll have a room set up either tomorrow or Thursday evening (EST.) Haven't got a chance to play with anyone. The last few Saturdays have been real busy for me. Anyone here is encouraged to join, but be aware of latency if you're nowhere near the North American east coast.
  7. I could help host, if needed. I regularly log on sometime past 6pm EST so I could make rooms on a daily basis during weekdays. I'll have a room open between 8-8:30pm tonight if anyone happens to read this. If interested, send me a request (PSN handle is under my avatar) and let me know. From what I've exprienced the crossplay issues has begun to alleviate.
  8. Download Byte (DownloadByte) | Central NY/EST | Played a bit of +R to get my feet wet for Xrd, don't have many friends to train with. Capcom games are my bread and butter so I've been sticking with Slayer. Do want to expand my horizons with Elphelt and be aquantied with every character in general. Once PSN is back online everyone in the Eastern block should expect a request from me. I run a PS4 copy, if that matters.
  9. Heard the PSN community is larger and still active compared to XBL. Vsav or VH, I'm up for either. Best time you'll catch me is on weekends. Main Lilith in Vsav and Pyron in VH.
  10. The nature of Smash and its large, casual playerbase makes it difficult for most to see any competitive side to it. Philosophies are mixed between Sakurai and Smash competitors regarding the series' identity. With that said, the Smash scene had to work hard to reach the point they are now. Although deceptively small, Vampire is still kicking. A tight-nit community on Facebook is doing well. 884 members as of this post and growing. Of course we'll continue hosting events and spreading the word. Next to possible independent content, It's all we can do until Capcom gets their act and IPs in order. For the record and clarification, I'm all for a fan-made mods/new Vampire material. The community at large doesn't seem to mind not having any though.
  11. I ran the .txt file though this encoder/decoder. I couldn't make out much. Expect the listing of a few command normals. Notably 6P, 6HS, 3K, and j.6HS. Edit: Of course I could of avoided all that if Firefox didn't blantenly hide the character encoding option.
  12. Not new to fighters, but I'm fairly new to Guilty Gear. Trying to get ready for Xrd. I live around the center of New York state. I'm on late afternoon most days. If it matters, I also have a mic. Feel free to tell me what I need to work on with Slayer GT: Download Byte
  13. I found both post easy to read and simple to understand. Guessing those new to fighters would feel the same way. For players (like me) who come form a Capcom background they help immensely. Look forward to reading more.
  14. http://youtu.be/iF-wP7DvzMw?t=3m40s Pause at 3:45. Correct me if I'm wrong; It looks like Elphelt starts that 3-beat combo with 5K while Sin's standing. With no warning sign for blocking incorrectly. Still looking for that standing overhead. Would be helpful if the opponent keeps crouch-blocking pineberries, assuming the explosion can be blocked high or low.
  15. DownloadByte Haven't played online yet, but I've spent some time in the arcade and training mode. Only airdasher I have on PS3 at the moment, really enjoy it. Plan to main Nanase. Live near the East Coast. Usually on early evening most days, expect for weekends. Looking forward to playing!
  16. Thanks for those quick replies. Cleared up my thoughts on who to main back in +R. So looking forward to seeing Elphelt's oki game. The Pineberry alone looks like it has so much utility. Set up right it could be extremely diffucult to deal with, even in neutral.
  17. Based on the videos so far, would it be safe to say Elphelt is predominatly a zoning character? I only ask this because I'm fairly new to Guilty Gear and want to get accustomed to whoever compliments her best in +R.
  18. Project M was completely funded and produced by fans. Fans that knew Brawl needed a major over hall to make it much more enjoyable competitively. Don't get me wrong, a new (and well advertised) Vampire sequel would be great. I simply feel the majority of players are content with the original Vampire Savior/DS3. Willing to wait even longer for this potential squeal, if it ever comes to light.
  19. I wasn't aware of Chronicles being a launch title (never owned a PSP.) Or that Resurrection had a retail release. Unfortunately, my first exposure to the Darkstalkers series was through Resurrection. Been looking for another port as authentic to the arcade version(s) as possible. So the PS2 collection fits that mantra?
  20. I feel the same way when searching Ranked in DS:R Oddly enough, the game (Chronicles) is easy to acquire if you know where to look.
  21. If I had a PSP I'd give it a shot. Can't believe there would be a fluent online player base, even if the netcode was decent. More practically in looking for a home console version (which I still haven't acquired )
  22. Mainly for the variety. Lets me explore the inner-workings of characters and understand match-ups. Probably going for Felicia or Aulbath; honestly don't know. Liking Lilith too much to go out and find them lol. I never used Supercade, but GGPO is fairly easy to set up. Personally I have trouble configuring Vsav into a pseudo-training mode. Otherwise it runs like a charm.
  23. Your next best step would be to go over your character(s) thread, if you haven't done so already. The OP generally contains most of the crucial information. That's not to say every post after is meaningless. Learned some Lilith tech unbeknown to me shuffling through 6 pages of post. Here's a link to Anarkaris' thread.
  24. I always play it safe and stay case-sensitive when it comes to adding GTs. Now that I think about it, you're probably right. That aside, we should set our focus to finding a suitable time to fight in Vsav. I am available for the entirety of next week, so the 3hr time difference shouldn't matter much. Let me know what works for you.
  25. When I have some free time I'll go and message whoever is currently on. 6-10:30pm EST tends to be the best time frame for me to be on, unless it's the weekend. @Stealthizm: Send a request to "VSav XBL" instead. The "av" in the GT isn't capitalized. The account is currently offline, but you should still be able to see the friend's list nonetheless.
