  1. Oh yeah if you do add me, please also note you are from DL. Here's my speedtest thing:
  2. psn: legal_thief location: seattle character: sol
  3. Hi, I'm returning to GG after a 5 year hiatus. I originally started out in norcal, then MD, and now I recently moved to Seattle. I'm available during most weekends for some games. I don't have a car so I'd either need to get a ride or take public transport. See you guys around.
  4. That combo sounds sick. It makes me want to skip work to go home and beat up some ppl online with it. How's the damage and is it worth the 100% gauge? Also since I'm already posting, what's the best thing to do when thirteen orphans hits? i usually run up and do a standard air combo, and as the DD is about to end, try to time a chun at the end so I can knock them back and possibly combo. I saw a video where the litchi did 6C over and over, which is probably better than my air combo. maybe instead of timing the chun, time the 6C so it scores a knockdown instead of the bounce the chun creates?
  5. lol such a late reply, but do what you gotta do.
  6. game-wise, this is the wrong forum to ask this. But it is about joysticks so here goes. The PS3 Tekken 6 LE bundle comes with a wireless ps3 stick for $150. the game is $60, artbooks dont count, so I'd be paying $90 for the stick. Is it a worthy investment? I already have an HRAP2 with converter, but a wireless stick would be nice and I'd have two sticks for gatherings. What kind of parts are in the stick? is it a good stick? how about the wireless thing? batteries? chargeable? lag? Please help soon because I need to decide soon whether to get it or not.
  7. Thanks Cornix. Yeah, i definitely meant itsuuA. I dunno why i said riichi... And when you say how far I am away from the corner, is it the corner behind me or in front of me? do you know the approximate distance at which the staff return timing changes? Sorry I'm really curious but do not have the game in front of me so I cant try for myself.
  8. I've got two questions. Sorry in advance if they've been asked before. 1. When doing combos such as 5B[M] > 5C[M] > 3C[M] > [D] > ]D[ > IAD j.C ... when the staff flies back, sometimes it comes back at the right time and other times it comes back late. Why is that? how can i make it so the staff always comes at the right time instead of late? 2. For some reason, I cant do riichi A after forward grab. whats the timing?
  9. jump ins are dangerous because her 2C is really good. staying at full screen distance is suicide so you want to get as close as you can. A nice "sweet spot" is outside of her melee range and inside her sword range. either IAD so you land in that spot or dash in. As soon as a nu player sees you run or dash past her swords, almost everytime they will do some kind of C move. When air dashing, expect 2C and a possible 6C followup then punish, and when dashing, i tend to block low for possible 3C. It will also block a 2C, then maybe a 6C followup. Also when ground dashing, and you think nu is going to melee you because you get too close, 6B or 2B->6B and get that counter hit. Of course you need to be out of melee range because the moves are slow. barrier block might not always be good because it pushes nu away, which you dont want. A gimmick that i dont recommend is to air dash towards nu expecting a 2C, then 5D to throw your staff towards them and as you land, super shishin. you might land in that sweet spot i mentioned earlier, i dont know. I just thought of it right now lol. This should only be used if you have nothing else to lose and no other options. I won't be liable if you lose using this tactic. This is based on my experience playing shitty to decent nu's, where they get scared when you get into melee range.
  10. i always used to play poster boy characters (sol in gg, kilik in sc, jin in tekken, ken in sf4) so i wanted to get away from the poster boys. thus, my attention went to litchi because she has cool looking combos and because i also wanted to play someone that is not very popular, thus making my name recognizable as one of the best litchi's is easier. And most importantly, she's got the biggest tits.
  11. Edit: reread a few things in this thread and decided to change my original question... What are some options after haku hatsu chun / haku chun hatsu besides shishin and staff recall?
  12. ...god dammit i thought the haku was supposed to be done in the air after the j.C. ahh back to training mode for me. also for tsubame combos, how come sometimes the upwards hit will get them and kinda carry them up, but when it comes back down it completely misses and the opponent techs away. all my tsubame combos suck because i cant get this part right.
  13. I was just working on the 5B>5C>41236C>Chun>2C combo earlier today and I had the same problem. Well first, before the chun you need to jump. either up or forward, i find jumping up works better for me. What helped me land this combo is to do the chun as quick and early as possible after the jump, then the 2C will combo easier (timing is still strict though). i dont think tk chun will work because it doesnt go high enough, but by doing the chun quick and early after a jump, you will land and recover faster leaving you with a bit more time for the 2C. hope that helps. Now a question of my own. I am having trouble with this combo: 5B[m] > 5C[m] > 3C[m] > [D] > ]D[ > IAD > j.C > haku etc... I cant get the haku to hit after the j.C. ive tried doing the haku as fast as i can after the j.C but it's still no good. I'm sure it must have something to do with my timing or positioning with the earlier part of the combo but i just dont know what.
  14. Nu is ez sauce once you get in close. I'm probably only able to say that because all the Nu's I've played are no good close range. 2B[m] at midrange works ok against the Nu's I've played because it goes under some of her swords, but i think 6B[m] should never be used cause its slow and if you are using it at correct 6B[m] range, you'll get punished by swords. Once you get in close, just watch out for the standard C combos Nu will throw out. dash ins are better than jump ins IMO because of Nu's 2C. Regarding Nu's C moves like 2C and 3C, if i want to IB them, do i need to IB all 8 of the hits, or can i just IB the first hit and the subsequent hits are automatically IBed?
  15. Is there a way to convert BlazBlue replays into a YouTube-able format for uploading without the need for special external hardware? Software solutions and transferring replay files to computer are ok.
