  1. Is anyone living in torrance possibly have one guy staying over 11/1, 11/2, or both night? I have to be in there for meeting but haven't figured out where to stay. (Got cancelled from one I was gonna stay with.) I can play GG, P4A, and maybe BB?(it's been quite a while since I played this last time) But yeah, if you can or know anyone, please let me know. It'll be very helpful.
  2. Jam's old 6hs was a great poke. that beats like ky's 2S, baiken's farS, 6K, Johnny's 2S, 5K. and crash against may's 5HS. and on CH, you could go into full combo start's from anything. keeping the right distance was pretty difficult and massing up means you'll get thrown or punished really badly; therefore that was a very last secret weapon that she couldn't use often, so excalibur was the name for it. Also, you could use it as overhead option. dash 6HS RC-JS or 5K was very fast high low mix up. I believe she can get decent damage from it in ACR. Like JS-JH-charged ryujin~. So yeah, she seems pretty legit as long as she'll get the 2S and 2D. without it, she'll be AC jam that lost damage sources. I really hope they'll do something to the stupid FB puff ball though. it seems still as good with charged ryujin, and I don't want that kind of stupidness in jam. They should know no one was happy with FB puff ball and that move needs to be removed, honestly. at least get rid of inv, make the damage high or something like that.
  3. I haven't read this much English for long time. lol So so far, I see few approaches from everyone. 1.local gathering. Ask your friends to play, find the players who play, get together and play just simply to keep the game up. by flyer, online, mouth to mouth, something we can do right now. 2.Online As everybody knows, majority of BB players are broke. So have event or help that can create some sort of hype through online. This sounds a little tough, but by seeing the situation, definitely worth a shot. 3.tourney Big one, small one, provide the experience. But how we gonna pull it up especially big one with a game that not even big enough for evo? Sounds like big topic, but big stuff won't come before the small steps I guess. 4.Game itself. I see many people (including me) think the game itself has problem. Other than wait and hope that it'll get better, is there anything we can do? Or maybe we (like me who think bb suck) are wrong. How can we make those realize that it's actually good game if it is? I tried to read all the post and these 4 were the main thing that we can or want to do. From here, let's talk about each topic? And those are just throw out from me that's not well planned yet, but such as for 1, look for the people to be the region organizer, (town level is fine.) And each of them talk about how they brought people in and how's the number, if the number goes down, what was the reason they left, something like that. for 2, Run survey and learn what the netplayers are looking for. and construct the plan based on the answer. something like that. I think all level approach is needed. Not only online, not only tourney, not only local, and of course not only complain about game itself. We should discuss the way and actually set goal for each levels approach. I'm quite surprised that I still care about this game this much. haha
  4. I think make legit online major will be cheaper, and more attractive for the majority of the BB player. Like you said, the majority of the people are young and broke. I feel like running the real tourney is next step, we need to let the netplayers know that the competing seriously is fun. And keep them interested in until they are old enough to go around themselves. Sadly the game design doesn't help people to learn the base of FG. This cause people to not stick fg in future. so someone needs to lead them to the way. Thankfully BB is somewhat netplay friendly so. Well, I've been away from the community for a while. Those idea are if things didn't change from the time I played. From here is just what I think about this game. I don't know how many people actually want to learn this game seriously in US. I just feel like the game is not targeted to those who enjoy the FG mechanics. What I see is arcsys is focusing on keep those light gamers entertained. I hear many of the GG players say BB is auto pilot game. the defense option in footsie level is not getting any better since CT. It doesn't seem like they are trying to give the depth in the game. I've been seen potential in this game since CT, but it has been CT-CS-CS2-EX now. 4th game! I can see the progress. But where is the game going? I'm not quite sure by seeing EX's change. This game is in the middle of SF and mvc. reactable footsie like SF but not enough option to deal with so you'll end up jumping away or in. Strong mix up but not as creative as mvc (or GG). I'm sure there is reason why this game's majority of players are young people who doesn't play other FG. YES, it is true that this game is discriminated because this is anime game. But ignoring the fact that the game itself has problem, this game is not ready to have big real tourney. ...I think. So online tourney to keep the majority players interested in is what's needed right now. And hope that arcsys can make this game interesting enough in future edition.
  5. >>Valle Thanks! I guess CRT will be good enough for the practice.
  6. Time to come back here! Here's some translated info for litchi! Mid screen Tsubame setups. ~tsubame 1.~dash-D hold-dash-2B(-2C-D release-JB~hatsuchun) eats no tech, front roll, back roll. The damage and follow up is not that great, but stable. 2.~dash-back kote-D-dash-(D1-JB-JC-JB-D2-JB-JC) eats everything just like the 1. better mix up after, but the combo is distance restricted and harder. These two are the basic. I think I saw ~tsubame-9J-JC before, but didn't see any analyzing about this and don't really see this anymore either. The one I haven't seen anywhere yet but being discussed is ~2C-5C-tsubame-hakuhatsuchun-hikkake-dash2A this one has higher meter gain, more carrying, and eats no teching and front roll. I can't find anything about back tech, so this part needs to be checked when we get hold of CS2. also against emergency tech or delay tech, we'll have a lot of advantage frame with stick in front, means ippatsu combo after the mix up. There are a lot more stuffs that I still need to translate, I'll try to finish everything up before the CS2 release. So then everyone can get ready for that big tourney!
  7. Amazing! I'm looking forward the day. Now, I'll be there for sure. And Valle, I have one question. Which monitors are you guys using this time? There was some confusion with that on SCR. My charactor is extremely lag sensitive and I'm not really good at adjusting it in short time. So I'd like to keep my practice up with the same setting as the tourney will be run. by this, I'll have no excuse for myself as well. haha Again, thank you so much for the decision. I'll try my best to bring some hype into the tourney!
  8. I heard that the one Japanese player who is serious about coming to US want to play CS1. I'd say play CS2. I agree with that idea 3 weeks will be barely enough to set our new combos down like other people say. But the hardest part, exploring is already done by Japanese players. We just need to put it together. We should believe in ourselves that we can pull out the great matches even with the new games. And who wants to see CS1 now days anyways? I don't really know about other places, but in socal, Blazblue is quite dead. Only players who play CS1 is people who wants that 5K. Touney is not about the money, it's about the hype. that money is just to call the bigger hype. Playing CS2 will bring more people and more attract. like I am.
  9. Mah-jang is a fun game. I play that all the time. Too bad not many around me do so, net play is the only way to go for me.
  10. JC"C" is the move LK is talking about, I think. that move beats all the anti air option she has, so you need to JA before it comes out, I'd say just guard it tho. or just don't be in the situation.
  11. that lost to tokido. I was extremely mad at myself. I should've stopped it. It was my bad that practicing only on CRT, didn't considered that possible lag.
  12. question, when is the deadline for this tourney to change it into CS2? I believe it'll be out around april, but if it doesn't, are you guys gonna play CS? I really really wanna go this tourney and play CS2 litchi. Since this tourney is really huge, for sure Japanese people, (most likely the sponsored ones, means TOKIDO!) would come and play BB. fuck money, I wanna play with that guy, and everyone coming from the nation. I want to show that socal arcsys scene is not dead yet.
  13. 6AFC-5B-6B-6C-airdash JB-5B-2C-6D~ in corner. I'm guessing ~airdash JB-2A-5B-5C-3C-3 hit tsubame might work since it's FC? but because we use 6C-airdash JB, in most of case, we should be close enough to corner on 6D Also 6C1-5D is +5. lol
  14. >>LK How interesting. And the tourney is on June in LA.
  15. oh, so hatsu actually hit cross too? sounds pretty cool. Since socal has big CS2 tourney, I should start practicing in CS too like LK.
