  1. My bad, you probably read the posts before I organized them for clarity. Even if the 6C is a counter hit and the opponent is crouching and you're fairly far away there are situations where you can get better damage. You may also not have or want to spend 4 stars.
  2. After a CH 6C: Opponent is crouching: That's true if you're at midscreen and have 4 stars and are at a range where the sword part of 632146C will hit. It's also true if 632146C will kill the opponent. If the opponent is near a corner it's better to do 623A, etc. Same deal if you have less than 4 stars or you're at a range where the sword part of 632146C won't hit. Opponent is standing: At 6C's very furthest ranges I don't think you can follow-up a CH with anything besides 632146C. Opponent is in the air: Probably 236A, etc. Pretty sure you don't have enough time for the second 6C if they're in the air anyway.
  3. Edit: This depends on range and other factors. See my next post. You can't combo after 3C unless it's a CH. Doesn't matter if they crouch. Also, 5B can hit crouching opponents if they're in hitstun. So j.C 5B will combo vs crouching opponents as well as standing ones.
  4. 2 stars, midscreen, works on everyone except maybe Carl: (optional super late j.C, land,) (5C or 5B (most practical after j.C) or 6A)>623A-A>9, f.C, land, 2C>29, j.2C, j66, j.2C, (possible j.2C or j.C) = 3.1-3.8k 214B might end up being better for corner combos due to reverse proration. 9 = jump forward 29 = super jump forward j66 = air dash
  5. Bravo.

    [CT] Hakumen Thread

Until Arakune marks you he is your bitch. Keep in mind that Hakumen's 5c, 3c, 2c, 6c, j.c, 41236c, j.214c, and 632146c will all disable any projectiles they hit INCLUDING ARAKUNE'S CLOUDS and will then still go on to hit your opponent. Hakumen's j.214b will beat out anything Arakune does in the air except possibly his super. Many of Arakune's common moves are counterable on reaction. Most Arakune players like to start his jumping downward-hitting 2348907238904 spikes move early and you can counter this with 5d or 6d. If he does his cross-up dive you can 5d it. If you get marked you should try to use 6d against bugs as often as you can because you are strike and throw invulnerable for the entire animation and if Arakune happens to be near you when you activate it you will grab him. Be patient and watch carefully for mistakes and while this matchup, in my opinion, is still in Arakune's favor it is definitely winnable.
  7. Does anyone have advice on the timing/spacing for the 5C6C link? I can't land it consistently.
  8. Minor updates to the first post. The Wikipedia page has a lot more info now. Here's a picture showing all the revealed cast except for Cosmos and Chaos.
  9. A poster showing the villains has been released: http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/6459/dissidiavillainpostergj8.jpg Poster and text from http://r-amano.cocolog-nifty.com/kumaud/ Newly revealed are: FF3: Cloud of Darkness FF4: Golbez FF5: Ex-Death FF6: Kefka
  10. Tidus and Jecht are added to the cast. http://i30.tinypic.com/3sk29.jpg
  11. OP updated with latest info. Still no release date but the game play footage makes it look neat. Changeable character equipment doesn't bode well for game balance if you can use it in real matches.
  12. Are you serious
  13. As far as I'm concerned this is the only reason to play LB2 but it is a very good reason. Garou is fun but it sucks that Kain isn't legit, he's my favorite. I also like Rock's fighting style and look but I wish he wasn't a whiny little bitch. Every SNK game should have Geese in it, no exceptions for any reason >. I guess his kid's in MotW but Rock's a far cry from Geese's awesomeness.

  16. All I really want out of this game is Judge Gabranth. It'll be crazy if it extends beyond the mainline FFs and has some characters from Tactics, bust out some broken Cidolfus Orlandu shit~
  17. Whoops. I actually uploaded it to imageshack specifically for that reason then linked to the 4ch image anyway . Anyhow, fixed.
  18. It seems the name of the game is actually Dissidia: Final Fantasy (I'd appreciate if a mod could change the thread title accordingly). Japanese Release date: December 18, 2008. Characters so far: FF1: Warrior of Light, Garland FF2: Firion, Emperor Mateus Palamecia FF3: Onion Knight, Cloud of Darkness FF4: Cecil Harvey, Golbez FF5: Bartz Klauser, Ex-Death FF6: Terra Branford, Kefka FF7: Cloud Strife, Sephiroth FF8: Squall Leonhart, Ultimecia FF9: Zidane Tribal, Kuja FF10: Tidus, Jecht Dissidia: Chaos, Cosmos There may be more hidden characters. It is likely that there are quite a few alternate costumes. 4 have been revealed for Squall alone. This is all in moonspeak at the moment. I'll add the input for the special moves eventually if someone doesn't beat me to it. If someone wants to translate this that'd definitely be useful. From what I understand the columns for the character data are, from left to right: Type (in order from top to bottom: standing, ducking, jumping, throws, specials, force breaks, overdrives, instant kill), move name, damage, tension gain, how much the guard bar increases when the move is blocked, how much the guard decreases when the move hits, move level, no damn idea, cancels available (j = jc, r = rc, f = frc), startup frames, active frames, recovery frames, frame advantage on hit, notes. Check POscrub's post immediately below this for the system data explanation.
  21. Original GG. Most stylish sprites, intense IK system, legit Kliff, Testament wasn't a fag, Baiken wasn't fanservice, more sharp edges on everything, best soundtrack, less stupid comic relief BS. Too bad about the horrible imbalance, infinites, no burst, and free overdrives with low life.
  22. What the Hell is up with great looking/playing games that feature primarily or only little girls as playable characters? Little girls are largely boring and are indicative of creepy design teams. Also this seems neat.
