  1. I figured it was the case. I was treating him like I would with Nu, forcing my way in and keeping the pressure on him, but that only worked 1/4 of the time... He is definitely not as easy for Jin here as he was initially, since for sure I beat him at least 80% of the time in CP1 as Jin. Have to play more safely now, unfortunately. It should be though? I mean, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has trouble dealing with it since it is pretty much Azrael's best DP, outside of obvious meter requirement and recovery. I see though. I guess I should make my pressure more airtight then when Azrael has the chance to Astral, unless anyone else has other suggestions? I'll keep that in mind though, and I definitely need to practice more with mixing my options. j.2C a bit too much at times, and not enough throws on my part.
  2. Well, yeah, that's pretty much it. I never really learned the match-up, so any suggestions on what to do? Specifically regarding how to keep the pressure on him without him backdashing/disrespecting with his Astral.
  3. Anything on this match-up? For some reason, it feels like Azrael got a lot harder for Jin to deal with. 5D doesn't really have the same strength as it did in CP1. His godly backdash is hard to punish too. I got blown up by an Azrael, so any help on what to do would be nice. It just feels somewhat one-sided unless the Azrael messes up often. Especially when Azrael can Astral out of your mixup. I mean, 5B > 6A- Astral'd. I wasn't aware the gap between 5B and 6A was THAT big. That, or Azrael's tools are just really good.
  4. So, more shit about our Astral lol. It apparently got buffed way more than we thought. It's now a pseudo, super situational DP. Has strike and projectile invul. Accidentally discovered it when I Astral'd against Lambda and she did 5D. Went right through. So I brought it to the lab to confirm, and against Nu's 5D, 5B > 2B chain, Ragna's Inferno Divider, and Azrael's 6A. Went through all of them, though a delayed DP on Ragna's part got me. Clipped me during recovery frames, but others generally got Astral'd. Best version of our Astral to date.
  5. Ah, I guess doing a j.2C first would've allowed room for a second one. I keep forgetting about that, since I'm so used to doing j.C > j.2C > jc > j.C. But very nice, I'm gonna have to grind that out later myself. Thanks for the visuals too
  6. It's pretty much around max range, I believe. Generally it's after a 5B > 5C or 5C > 2C. But yeah, I figured it'd be more rough to pressure considering the nerfs we got in this version. That, along with me not really watching any videos like I used to made me worse off in the long-run. I'll try those out when I get in the situation again though. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Thanks! Guess that'll be a somewhat situational midscreen punish combo for us Jins? Or something like that. The reward isn't bad at all for a resourceless combo though. It'll just take a lot of skill to pull off, especially in a real match lol
  8. Is there a way to make people stop disrespecting my pressure, especially after a blocked 2D? Especially characters with great backdashes like Nu, Lambda, Azrael, etc. Whenever I try to run in with a 2A, they just backdash and hit me with something and we reset back to neutral if I'm lucky.
  9. Glad it helped you out. I'm still getting a hang of the timing of when to 2C and making sure I can dash 5C properly after the first loop, but it's shaky at best. Maybe a jump loop combo would be something like FC 22C > 66 5C > j.2C > j.C > 66 5C > j.2C > j.C > 5C > 6C > 2D > 66 5C > 2C > j.C > j.2C > j.C > j.214C If that combo is no good though, someone can feel free to correct me. I have no idea on what the Heat Gain or damage is, since I need to do it myself- But just for someone who can do the combo to confirm for me, I guess.
  10. From what I've noticed myself, just watch Azrael's feet. The moment it looks like it's about to hit the ground after the first Hyoujin, input the second one as fast as possible. But eh. The combo is ridiculously impractical, so I'll probably make a practical version that takes about 50 Heat and post it here. If there isn't one already, that is-
  11. Yeah, I mean the FC 22C > 5C > j.2C > j.C x2. More specifically, it's FC 22C > 5C > j.2C > j.C > 5C > j.2C > j.C > 5C > 6C > 2D > 2C > 6B > Touga Hyoujin x2 Basically, his Mission 19. I figured I was doing something wrong with the j.2C though, since I was doing that as soon as I jumped and delaying j.C for about half a second. I'm not surprised it didn't work for me.
  12. Can anyone give me some advice about how to do Jin's jump loop? Specifically the timing for j.C and j.2C. This particular combo is kicking my ass and it's frustrating me. Thanks ahead of time.
  13. Really random change at that, but our Astral got buffed, for the most part. Just can't yolo the Astral any more, so it definitely has to be in a combo now. But yeah, that'll definitely be much appreciated for the other Jin players lol
  14. I don't know if this is really relevant, but I noticed that the guard for Jin's Astral is UNB on the wiki for Dustloop. Should be L now, since it got changed to an low. I tested this accidentally while fighting the A.I. Had 100 Heat and figured "The AI is stupid anyways. There's no way it'll bother blocking." Turns out, it blocked low, guarded my Astral, and proceeded to kick the shit out of me. So if anyone would change that, that'd be cool. Probably fix a couple other things I didn't notice too, like all the new ways to chain into Astral instead of plain throws.
  15. I guess I'll have to experiment with both then, since I liked Lambdas 236Xs, but I also liked feint j.214D and all the other stuff that Nu has. Best case scenario is that I pick up both. Thanks for answering my question so quickly.
