[CF] Valkenhayn General Discussion Thread
NEJI12212 replied to Kiba's topic in Valkenhayn R. Hellsing
this is common in fighting games like for example in guilty gear when you use bedman's forward HS you have to use a 214 + button move to do a 236 + button action since the game still has you facing right. in this instance you use inputs as if your facing right and its more notable in the vid you shown since you don't see valkenhayn turn around and hes facing right so his inputs is still as if hes facing right. Also if your just trying out valk now Kiba wrote up a wicked guide that I went through back during vanilla CP and his game plan hasn't changed since then and its a really good read to learn the character more. -

Central Fiction Arcade Plot Discussion (spoilers)
NEJI12212 replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
I don't think they would have Jubei being the character to cut through the Embryo for the amount of screen time he gets across all games but at the same time I'm surprised how big of a role Bang had last game so you never know. But in the end it will probably be Ragna, Jin or Noel that will destroy the embryo. -
- try not to be too aggressive at the start of the match since bang has better starting options than valk. - If their are bumpers up and I have the health lead I try to veer away from them and make him come to me instead locking down some of bangs options but if I don't have the health lead then I try to be very aggressive so the bang player wont be able to use them as much as he can and if the bumpers are mid screen I just go for a corner carry combo. - Bangs D nails is a + when he uses them since you make him waste 3 nails just for him to close in and depending on where you are on the screen then you can easily dodge them in wolf form and try to be aggressive. - Barrier guarding usually hurts Bangs pressure strings with the extra push it has and if you know his strings well enough try to instant block his drive moves and punish him. - Also try to plan your burst properly cause his drives will eat your burst if it was timed wrong

I'm starting to have some troubles in this match up in my local scene now since the Ragna player figured out Valk a bit since I cant win against him anymore by playing a character that isn't played a lot (at least not here since I'm the only Valk player). I'm just wondering how should I approach Ragna at neutral? I just feel very overwhelmed by him when I try to approach and take a combo in the face at the same time how should I deal with Ragna when he is trying to approach me. The only thing I know to never do is to wolf canon at neutral EVER cause I'll always take an inferno divider.

hey i'm just wondering when i'm selecting a character 2 assasin skills pops up and after selecting one i don't notice anything in training mode since i can still use them both or is that just strictly in training mode only (i haven't had anyone to play with yet so i'm just spending all my time in training)
-
are we going to have a better localization this time and include everything in it (like the Library mode that was removed in the western release copy of CP) for Extend. or are we going to have to wait for 6 months again?
-
can he flick task A' version? also I wouldnt go for task B just because it can beat hammerfall its beter to do it with some extra meter to RC it if its blocked since he can get some massive damage in for dumb punishes or force you to use up a burst.
-
the dejavu version helps Also if for some reason you dont care for oki and want corner carry plus damage you can end taskC into task B or if you have meter it can be canceled into other stuff

try not to parry chipp either since his moves will most likely come out faster than yours after a parry -

hey I'm just wondering if Hemi Jack is a good tool to be using meter on or is it better to save my resources for RC or other stuff. I just havent seen any vids of it being used ever. -
a RRC combo that I enjoy to use is 6H,236A,RC,walk forward,5H(2),1H,236H (194 damage) it does less damage than Alkipots 6HS >236P > RC > immediately walk forward > c5S at opponent's last reeling hit frames > 5HS(2) > 1HS > 236HS but taking out the close 5S makes it really easy to confirm

I'm having a really hard time getting a hit confirm in this matchup outside of the occasional 236P hitting him. What is a good way to approach chip and what tools should I utilize more in this match up
