  1. It typically acts as a reset Also yeah I use that same combo when I know it will give me a full corner carry. I noticed there are a few instances when it won't if your spacing is off. I think once people get used to Kagura they will opt to late tech to escape our Orb Oki. Smart players will more than likely late tech. Also I thought every time we do Orb Oki we are forcing a 50/50 and pressure? We both make good points and a lot of sense plus it only applies to characters that have funny hitboxes like Kagura. B-orb will go right over Kagura if he late techs but if you do A-orb you force the 50/50. On everyone else you could just do the delayed B-orb or A-orb Oki like you said in an earlier post The optimal gamplan for Kagura is always push to corner though so I see why you want to do it.

  3. I usually start my combos with 5B(low starter) 2A hits mid so they can block that standing. If my starter is 2A I only go for DD,6DC,or Flash Kick finish in combos mid screen. 2DC,A-orb causes the OTG and blue beats on certain characters: Kagura and Platinum so far. Need to test on the rest of the cast If they don't tech you can continue the blue beat combo, If they air tech they must barrier, and if they late tech(hit ground) back roll they are at tip range of 5C and 2C. You can charge B-orb during both moves to Re-force pressure. This same thing applies to 2DC,B-orb OTG blue beat combo as well They can late tech(hit ground) forward roll but that puts them in 6B range back into pressure All applies to midscreen only Note: 2DB is soft knockdown that's why they can tech the A-orb and get out of the corner if they late tech. Note: You will always get the OTG if you don't delay the Orb. This allows you to react to whatever they do.
  4. I noticed that as well but even if it doesn't OTG it Re-forces pressure on our opponent. Also we could choose to end the combo with A-orb which puts them in the same position as an OTG B-orb or late tech since it Blue-beats. I suppose that would be matchup specific though? Another note: If they late tech A-orb then back roll it puts them at tip distance of 5C and 2C.
  5. Nice write up! All of what I posted was with an immediate B-orb or A-orb for Oki. When I tested 2DB, immediate A-orb Oki in corner it caught forward rolls, back rolls, and late techs. I'm gonna test again after I grind out my bnbs. I been practicing all of those juicy corner combos,mixup after Oki, and my neutral game The Bnb I use for midscreen Oki to reset pressure is: "2A,2B,3C,2DC,A-orb",5B,3C,2DC,B-orb and "__________" 5BB,5C,6DC,2DB,A-orb for corner carry and Oki

I just did some testing myself and looks like you can quick roll 2DB,B-orb Oki but you CAN'T escape 2DC,B-orb Oki. 2DC,B-orb forces your opponent to block or take a blue beat orb which still grants us a mixup. Regardless of what they think they can do they're f*ucked we will just have to react accordingly following the late tech. 2C, B-orb ender forces the same thing, so with that in mind when ending combos with 2DB ect. DON'T go for B-orb unless you have conditioned your opponent. 2DB,A-orb WILL CATCH forward rolls and back rolls and force the opponent to block if they choose to late tech which they always will!!!!
  7. I can't seem to get the dash cancel combos in the corner. Every time I do 5DA>66...I go underneath my opponent

  9. That sounds pretty legit seeing that we are trying to maintain pressure after they get a free air tech. Even if the 6A is blocked Kagura is still in a favorable position I would assume?
  10. Possible air throw? or maybe an AUB yomi. j.6D(crossup?) I'm just throwing stuff out there. (will test as soon as I get it) I'm sure we can mind fuck them even if they late tech. Following the free air tech could an A-orb force them to block again? j.4D~B-orb I would think could reset pressure
  11. Would a blocked B-orb Oki give enough frame advantage to do 6A or maybe microdash 5B?

  13. What options do you guys with the game think are his best given the opponent late techs Kaguras B-orb Oki or does a quick forward roll? While watching the TSB stream I saw opponents rely on these tactics to eliminate Kaguras B-orb Oki. If they late tech the B-orb it looks like it OTG's into a possible blue beat combo or (reset?) but If they do a forward roll they escape. I won't be able to test until tomorrow but I was thinking maybe A-orb could catch forward rolls or j.4D to stay in there face. Also I would assume A-orb would be good to use to end blockstrings. I don't know the recovery of it or start-up so if anyone can test this stuff out I know we would all appreciate it. I will be doing some testing and posting more often once I get my hands on the game.
  14. I haven't gotten my hands on the game yet(should arrive sometime Monday....hopefully) but I have been playing out in my mind what his Oki looks like. After watching the combo vids up I would assume it would be: combo>knockdown> B orb... [j.6D,2D, or 4D] mindf**k(mashable?) [5B or 6A] high/low mix-up [6DA or 6DB] low starter/ cross-up [5DA or 5DB] Fatal(frame trap?)/command grab [2DA,2DB, or 2DC] overhead/ first attack hits high second hits low/ first attack hits low second hits high [Throw] and also resets from air combos Is this typically his playstyle and Oki in a nutshell assuming his ground game is good? This is all speculation from what I have seen thus far and from reading the descriptions of his moves from the wiki. I just want to know if those with the game can clarify the information gathered to be useful and also what should and should not be used. I can't wait to get my hands on this character :-P

  17. Thanks bro! I really appreciate the detailed response. I think my problem lies mostly in the spacing. 2p, 2p prior to 5k,JI,HS corrected the spacing issues. Now I just have to make sure I press the S fast enough enough after KJT. Now when I actually hit the 5k,JI,HS etc. I FRC with P,S,K and roll my thumb to HS. It works pretty well considering I play on pad. Also I'm looking forward to the write up on the combos. I'm beginning to notice that most of the 1-hit Enkasu set ups following the Coin loop in the Satou match vids require a dash, IAD or dash, SJ,IAD. This seems to be harder than the 1-hit Enkasu used in ACR

Are there any trick or tips for hitting any combos that start with 5K, HS, KJT>KJ or HS, KJT>KJ etc. Knowing how important KJT>KJ combos are to JO's gameplay are there any variables I need to factor in when trying to complete these particular combos? Ex. Spacing, links,frames. I would very much appreciate any advice. Also I was wondering if anyone was going to do a write up for the combos for AC+R.
  19. New member here but I have been lurking around these boards for quite some time. I wanted to share info regarding the yellow RC. I was looking for information regarding the extra menu mode in training mode online, how to obtain it, what's in it etc etc. I finally came across a page that listed the conditions to obtain it and what was in the extra menu. To make a long story short, the option to turn on yellow RC was listed. I was like WTF this shuts been here in AC+ this whole Damn time but it had to be unlocked.
