  1. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a PC release, just that it shouldn't take priority over consoles. Skullgirls had already been on PS3/360 for a long time when it hit PC. Of course, we have no idea how FB is going to react to this. They're probably really busy with Dengeki right now and can't devote much time to UNIB.
  2. I don't think we should push for a PC version until we get some hard confirmation of a PS3 port. It's simply not an ideal home for the game outside arcades. Most of the fighting game playerbase is on consoles, fighters get more publicity on consoles, they're much easier to use for tourneys, and piracy rates are far lower.
  3. It was running on a development unit. That doesn't mean they'll actually be able to release it on PS3.
  4. If PC ends up being the only feasible way for the game to make it out of arcades then I'll take it, but I'd much prefer a PS3 port with a physical release. It would likely sell much better in Japan, where PC gaming is very niche, anyway. French-Bread must also be aware of how relentlessly Melty has been pirated on PC outside of Japan. Also, GGPO isn't an instantaneous, magic solution to netcode problems. Like anything else, its rollback system needs to be implemented well, taking into account the unique mechanics of each game. Look at SFIII:3S Online for an example of a poor implementation of GGPO. Additionally, Sega's netcode for VF5:FS remains the best I've ever used, and it's not GGPO.
  5. CP has no 360 version, so any concerns over input lag are moot.
  6. Ultimately, they may decide to not port it in favor of the Dengeki fighter. UNIB has not been particularly popular or successful, probably because it was very unbalanced before the first few patches, and this turned most people away for good.
  7. Chirping excitedly, thank you.
  8. It's pretty sad that they're only going to pick one of three NEW Arc Systems games to be featured. It's probably going to be +R; BB doesn't have enough mass appeal, name recognition or "hype" behind it.
  9. I played against you a few times! Great to see someone maining Justice.
  10. I don't foresee any American tournaments featuring BBCP until it gets its US release; the turnout would be near nonexistent.
  11. I suppose this game is the reason why things have really slowed down with UNIB.
  12. I've been maining Kliff for +R along with Order Sol. It's fun playing a character that no one has any experience fighting yet. One time I landed Kliff's 214PD force break counter that insta-dizzies, and it somehow backfired and made him dizzy instead. I think I was hit out of it at the same time, but I'm not sure. This could be another one of his troublesome old man quirks; is it a known behavior that the FB has a chance of self-dizzying, or did I just happen to get dizzied at the same time?
  13. The PS4 is going to need its own arcade stick for this game. MadCatz is already preparing to roll out Xbone sticks for KI3, so I'm sure they'll have this covered too.
  14. Both characters can be unlocked immediately with DLC.
  15. What the hell do they even do at the Arc USA office? Sit around smoking bowls all day? Dorito-eating contests? It's like a few clueless brodudes got together and decided to call themselves Arc System Works.
  16. So is Kokonoe going to be available at launch or not?
  17. If you just want the standard edition, I'd recommend buying from Solaris Japan. They have it cheaper than most places, and I can vouch for the quality of their service.
  18. Aksys or whoever publishes it here will probably push out a localization as fast as possible, maybe even a simultaneous console release with Japan. This isn't Blazblue, which doesn't sell anywhere near enough US copies to justify pouring all their resources into it. GG is Arc's flagship series, so Xrd will likely be riding a huge wave of hype after the full cast is revealed and we start getting unedited match footage from arcades. Another thing is that it's going to be an early PS4 title, so a lot of early adopters will pick it up just to have something to play. If it's anything like the PS3, the system will be starved for good games during its first couple of years. The only snag I could see getting in the way is that no one has any experience releasing stuff on PS4 yet.
