  1. What is THE go-to combo vs. crouchers mid screen (I’m new to Venom and GG so full notation would be really appreciated >< )? I have the most trouble getting the ball hit after something like, say, c.S(1) > SQV, 5p BH > IAD > j.SHSD > …. I don’t seem to have any issues with any QV stuff in the corner. I guess I just generally need tips for mid screen QV combos. Also sorry if this would have been better posted in the combo thread D:

  4. Hey there everyone. I just decided to take up Mu and I thought I'd start out here. This is my first BB game so I'm not familiar with her from before, though I do have a find grasp of the game at this point. I see some combos scattered throughout here, but I still have a few questions. When and off of what enders would you super? Is the purpose of her midscreen game to get them to the corner, do a corner combo, then have D's set up as your oki and kill from there? Something like that? what is her normal zoning pattern like and do you ever use 236a? Any combos you guys want to recommend would make me extremely happy, though I notice one post on the first page with what looks like most of the situations I will need to know as well as another post with corner oki stuff. Thanks!!

Actually I'm looking to learn optimal/close to optimal stuff >< I've played fighting games extensively, just not BB, so I'm fine with hard/long stuff (especially after playing Rachel for a weekI can't imagine it being too bad with Noel). Cool yeah I actually found this earlier and copied it all down :D but thank you for responding and posting those in the first place (I was so happy to find them)! Is this all I will need for her?
  7. Hey there everyone. I'm new to BB and have been playing Rachel so far. I was thinking I'd maybe learn some Noel, but I'm not sure where to start. Now, I looked in the combo thread and saw the list of BnB-ish stuff, but nothing really guiding. Does anyone have a personal list of things they use that are go-to? I'd appreciate any help with that or any other general Noel tips! Also what is the most prominent player I should watch for tech/combos?
  8. This is cool and I can see where this is applicable, but I still don't understand why j.2c becomes level 2 vs. level 3 and what the differences are. On the other hand I now know where you have to hit to get the bounce. Also I'm not sure if you are saying "momentum" as an illustration or that it is actually a mechanic of 2C (I am both new to Rachel and this game).
  9. Alright well thanks for the explanation; I see where I was mistaken now. I'm going to adopt the 5B > (5CD) > ... one for now with the 5CC finisher. As for the more optimal version with the micro dash... I feel like I can't figure out a method for doing it. I see people saying to wait to do this and that but I can't seem to figure it out at the moment and have only gotten that combo a couple of times :/ other than that, if it's the case that I had to spend a wind to get in (either 3D > jump > j.B > j.C > ... OR 5B (blocked) > jump 3 > j.2AD > j.B > ....) should I still go for the full combo even though I will be forced to use 2 more wind (in the lab it seems impossible or way to hard to do it without the 5CD), or should I do a 1 wind variant like 5BD > 6A > 4B > dash > 5CC and sacrifice ~400 damage?
  10. Could someone explain how you get 2C to different levels and what, other than doing it from high altitude, causes the giant ground bounce? I see you guys talking about using it but it doesn't seem practical to me (which I take as an indication that I'm missing something).

So instead of using this: (2B) > 5B > 5D > 6A > dash 5B > 6A > 236A > dash 3C > oki or this: 5B > 3C > 8D > Dash > 6A > 4B > Dash > 5CC > oki I could do something like: (2B) > 5BD > 6A > 4B > dash > 6A > 5B > jc > j.B > j.C > dj > j.B > j.C > 236A > oki? or is this a situation thing? Is the last combo kind of bad by comparison?
  12. Ok. so for this combo: ... j3db jc dash 5b 6ad dash 5b 6a 236a dash 3c 214c (dash 6a 4b on normal starters) dash 5cc oki is it likewise? what's the purpose of the dash then (if they aren't being launched)?
  13. Ok so jc as in j.C? also is it implied that since you are doing j.2D right after that it's actually a j.2C?
  14. In this combo there is a part that I might not understand. 5b jc2d dash 5b Is this a jump cancel off of the 5b and then wind down immediately, land, and dash forward and 5b?
  15. Hey there. I'm new to BlazBlue, but not to fighting games. I have been searching around this evening after deciding to give Rachel a shot and found one good (but difficult) bnb on youtube. I looked in the combo thread here, but it seems that the combos written were from a different version of arcade (?) because it seems most of the combos are now using he 5BD and not 6CD or whatever it was. At any rate, I am just looking for combo notation or video that has some fundamental stuff I should learn. Also any intricacies of Rachel that may not be obvious even to an experienced fighting game player would be awesome to hear.
