  1. Going to repeat myself, but if they are truly going to adapt CP, then they have to do it in 24 episodes if they want thorough storytelling.
  2. That's from Nyantype #49 2013-12
  3. Next Blu-Ray release is to be Jan 29th, 2014 =w=;;
  4. Well he did commit a great crime. So I guess he kind of deserves it?
  5. ^This
  6. Forgot to do that my bad.
  7. Chaoschao, you forgot to add in Chapter 18 into Remix Heart, unless you did that because it's not translated yet D: (Well you could always put in "RAW" along with it to let people know >.<)
  8. Wait, that's the Blu-ray version? O_o Looking at how the quality improved by a lot, I actually want to try watching the Blu-Ray version. If my theory is correct, then I think it is possible the anime staff put more effort in the Blu-Ray version than the TV-air version. Like the TV-air version is the sample and the Blu-Ray version is the true version of the anime with better art and animation quality, but we will have to see. Anyways as for episode, they did a good job in adaption. Too bad we didn't get the "DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT. So it was like that... So that's how it was... Saya!" But I think they poured in their remaining budget on the final episode for sure. Glad they showed Lambda till the end. (LAMBDA~~~~!!!!!!!!! TAT) Also, they used tons of Mu-12's moves, which I liked. The scene where Ragna uses Idea Engine on Mu-12 was way better compared to the game (well yeah, the game's animations were too vague/short and sucked) But if there is one thing I didn't like, is the way Ragna's arm disappeared. They should have kept his arm breaking in cracks like in the game instead of just going WHOOSH and disappearing =_=; I liked the interaction between Ragna and Jin by a lot, as one of my greatest wishes of this series is that Ragna and Jin make up as brothers and go back to being a good family again instead of being in a bad relationship. The scene where Relius tells Hazama to stop was way too short and Imperator's appearance was way too short also, compared to the slow appearance in the game. But her evil smile made up for it somewhat. And what is up with the anime staff inputting so much Rachel's emotional face anyway...? O_o Wish they put in the conversation between Kokonoe and Ragna, but they totally overlaid that with Hakumen and Rachel's conversation =3= (WHAT THE HELL D:<) Glad they put in the epilogue with Nu's revival. So here is my overall rating of the entire anime: Episode 1: 7.5/10 (No background or history, explanation of characters, whatsoever. Good animation however. Loved seeing Nu) Episode 2: 7.5/10 (The anime staff's decision on how they animated Ragna vs Nu was bad as in the games, Nu's armors were supposed to come off/break but they did not do that. Still good animation. Nu's battle scene was good) Episode 3: 6.5/10 (Good Terumi animation. No explanation about Carl whatsoever except him being a Bounty Hunter and that Nirvana is an Arch-Enemy. Kaka Kittens and Taokaka were cute and funny. Liked the conversation between Hazama and Relius.) Episode 4: 7/10 (Fine overall episode. Just normal stuff I guess. Taokaka and Kaka Kittens are cute) Episode 5: 2/10 (Bad fanservice episode. Animation was bad. Was not even needed at all.) Episode 6: 7/10 (Good Lambda vs Ragna episode. However the animation and art quality after their battle was terrible) Episode 7: 4/10 (Terrible animations and art quality. Relius choking Noel saved it) Episode 8: 10/10 (Anime original episode which should have actually existed in the main game to make more sense. Lambda x Ragna was just too cute and lovely, also very heart-warming episode) Episode 9: 7/10 (Good Jin vs Tsubaki Episode. However, the attack animation quality when Tsubaki attacks Jin with her shield was bad.) Episode 10: 7/10 (Good Terumi/Hazama VS Noel and Makoto episode. However animation errors were seen and some parts were done poorly) Episode 11: 8/10 (Awesome Ragna vs Terumi episode. Actions were done somewhat poorly and vaguely however. Lambda's death scene was more heart breaking and better done compared to the game) Episode 12: 8/10 (Good action episode. However the scenes after the battle was rushed where things seemed kind of vague and less emotional compared to the game.) Total: 81.5/120 = 6.8/10 Overall Review: The anime was pretty much targeted towards those who have played the game or have knowledge about the game's story. The anime could have been planned more better in order to attract new gamers or new fans (The new manga is able to do this). However the anime wasn't really good planned in order to take such factors, and too many animation/art errors were found throughout the series. The way they added some more anime-original stuff and additions towards the story while changing the story that leads to the True Ending was however, very well done. However the way they adapted Calamity Trigger was terrible as it only lasted like 2.5 episodes. Because of this, the characters' history and background was barely covered or was not covered at all. The anime could have been done better if it was 24 episodes instead of 12 as it could have given the anime staff more room to cover more of Calamity Trigger. Although the major art design of the characters are wonderfully done, the way how the anime staff's could not fully adapt that style fully in many scenes was disappointing (the art style warped from one style to another scenes to scenes - especially Episode 7). However this view can be ignored if the Blu-Ray version of the anime is more detailed compared to the TV-aired version (Ex. Episode 7 stuff is fixed and coloring errors are fixed in some scenes). I very much enjoyed the anime overall but there were many disappointing things about it. If they are planning to adapt Chronophantasma in the future as an anime, I hope they will consider doing it as a 24-episode series instead of 12 (For one thing, there are 34 episodes total in the entire Chronophantasma story mode.).
  9. Sorry to destroy your illusions, but preview already shows him being on a hospital bed with a new arm. Huh? Where did you read the other chapters? I couldn't find any other than the Volume 1 that was posted in the Official Art thread.
  10. Does anyone have scans of the new chapters (the ones after Volume 1) of the new Blazblue manga?
  11. This is my personal opinion, but if the anime staff had like done the story like how it is done in the new manga at least, the anime might have been made better :I At least the manga covers Calamity Trigger in a different way and has more epic action @_@ the Alter Memory isn't as epic as the new manga
  12. Imperator shows up when Celica visits her own grave (the real one's grave) in the Sector Seven route. Six Heroes route, she doesn't show up if I remember correctly.
  13. Litchi and Arakune I am not too sure. Ragna definitely is near death but as stated before, Life Link and other factors that can save him needs to be considered Hakumen definitely is losing his powers and can't sustain his existence in the current timeline much longer as he is slowly getting sucked into the boundary. Celica as I already stated, she used tons of her life span due to her limiter removal.
  14. I wonder if the next chronophantasma material book will release articles about what happened to some characters afterwards and such :/ Also, I seriously think Celica dying next game is inevitable due to her life span being pretty short after releasing her limiter and such, where she may use her last amount of life to save Ragna or do a noble sacrifice. Unless, Kokonoe has found a way to increase her life span or if Phantom/Nine comes back to normal and finds a way to increase her life span or something. But her current situation is dire and she won't last long for sure. I really can't tell if her life span can be increased but Kokonoe did say in Episode 16 that she can't do anything about her life span. The way Hazama/Terumi told Noel that she will taste despair again caught my interest. I don't think this has to do with Amaterasu being summoned though. Which means that she may have to come face some kind of dire situation of choice within despair in the next game. I am not sure if this was just taunting her, but I think Hazama was serious when he said this, because he knows a lot about her. I think one mission the characters must fulfill is to "save" Izanami, but I don't know in what way. Izanami did tell Ragna that "You cannot save me. Forever". It really seems "saving" is the keyword for the current world, instead of "destroying", just as told in the story about the Girl and the Book, "destroying", or "defeating", only leads to the bad route, which is what made Amaterasu make timeloops (aka erasing the story and rewriting it whole). What must be done is "saving". I am going to guess that the next game, we may see a lot of sacrifices and deaths happening, except the characters may come back to life thanks to Amaterasu (She is the only one who can make it happen) It's just my instincts, but the way Izanami said when the "chosen ones" disappear she will win, it pretty much means that we will see them disappearing one way or another (Reference from Devil Survivor and Persona, where the protagonists' allies/friends start getting defeated/disappearing due to the enemy except they all come back at the end. This kind of concept can be used again in Blazblue too. It's kind of a common concept that is used in a lot of games, anime, manga and novels). I am starting to wonder though why Izanami's attacks are all Murakumo Unit based attacks though, where she like summons swords just like Nu.
  15. Yeah, it's weird. Noel didn't seem like she didn't get affected at all. She was acting all normal and such, being all friendly and cheerful with Celica. Saya/Izanami although she could have killed Celica when she met her in the Sector Seven route, for some reason she let her go, also the fact Izanami didn't suffer any pain or whatever from Celica just being in front of her unlike Terumi. Nu, she was like right there where Celica was when Relius and Nu ambushed Ragna, Noel, Celica and Bang, yet Nu didn't get affected crap and just kept on going with the synchronization and whatnot. Same thing in the final battle between Ragna vs Nu. Celica didn't affect Nu at all o_o Only people that actually got affected and suffered were Ragna, Terumi and Arakune. Celica did also like weaken people's Ars Magus (Episode 13 shows that due to Celica; Bullet and Kagura could not bring out their full strength against Azrael who is all brute strength and no Ars Magus. Contradiction or what is this?
  16. What you expect, the animation studio is a newly made studio where Alter Memory was their very first animation work (other than Chronophantasma)
  17. Taokaka pretty much disappeared after Episode 11 yeah lol.... She seriously needs to get more relevance towards the main plot =w=;; Jubei only showed up in Six Heroes Route then suddenly in the last episode against Phantom and Izanami. Arakune... yeah... he pretty much disappeared after Episode 12 Bullet disappeared after Episode 13 but she did appear in the Sector Seven route. Litchi was back on Kokonoe's side kind of temporarily but then went back to Relius for some unknown reason yeah. Also there is something that's confusing me. You know how Nu has seithr injected to her and how she has Azure Grimoire? So why wasn't she affected by Celica's power? Didn't really seem like she was affected at all.
  18. But has there been confirmations that there will be any CP extensions?
  19. From what I think, I don't think ArcSys will release the 4th Blazblue till maybe Remix Heart is over. Considering Mai and Taro's mentioning in BBCP, I think it hints that they might become part of the main story in the future. Taro I don't know as he was just Jin's bodyguard and Kagura's relative, but Mai has her own power regarding the Grimoires and she actually has high battle capabilities as seen in Remix Heart manga. Also, considering the fact Blazblue does not have any character who dual wields swords, if Mai were to join the story, I would say she would use dual wield katanas like shown in her official arts. Considering the fact Celica was originally only part of Phase Shift Novel series then joined the main story after Phase Shift 4 was over, I would say Remix Heart may lead to the reason why Mai is considered missing at the moment in the current timeline, and may have her join the team and contribute using her Grimoire powers. I doubt she is just a spin-off character. We never thought Celica would join the main story until the 4th novel's epilogue showed her meeting Kokonoe. Same thing might happen for Mai, where at the end of Remix Heart, the reason why she goes missing may be shown and explained. Although Amane is a bystander like Rachel and he has a playful side, he doesn't really do things without reason from what I have seen. There is a pretty good reason why he goes after Carl, and I don't think making him join his group is the main reason. It probably has to do with Carl's current status and the role he must fulfill in the future. There is a good reason why Amane is called a "Bushin". ^THIS XD
  20. They did. One was in the Six Heroes route, where Celica meets Carl and Nirvana, and keeps calling Nirvana by her name instead of Ada, which pisses Carl off, then after like Celica and Nirvana "talk", and Carl feels uneasiness from how Nirvana is at that moment, it makes him attack Celica where Hakumen comes to defend her and kick Carl's ass. The other is when Carl joins Relius' side where Celica looks at Nirvana with a sad face.
  21. If you ask me, it doesn't seem like him siding with Relius was the exact role he was to do. I think it starts from there after he saves Relius.
  22. Found this on Twitter while looking at Blazblue fanart/doujinshi artists' twitter. All of my what =w=
  23. Something I noticed from Rachel's quote when she fights Carl. It seems that according to her, Carl will have some kind of important task to fulfill but his time hasn't arrived yet. She said this in both CS and CP.
  24. I know 11-13 are the only Saya-based clones. whereabouts or details about 0~10 are unknown.
