  1. So how are you supposed to get in on this guy in neutral. I've encountered a problem where Hakumen's are able to defeat my air to air approach with j.2A, j.5C, and j.2C. I tried anti-airing, but his j.2C has a longer reach than our 2C. Any tips?
  2. Annnnnd now we have a major.
  3. *Bump* I finally found the video where it happened: http://youtu.be/TWm5J5uNgnI @50:40
  4. I stay strapped with 2 charges, so I can abuse 236C, and follow up with 214D/22D if necessary. Not the best method, but it works for me.
  5. Wanting Counter Assault, but getting 6BB instead.
  6. So after practicing it a bit in training mode, I feel more comfortable. The timing is weird, but the same for each character, save for a few below: Carl (5C connects, 2C whiffs) Azrael (5C connects, 2C whiffs) Amane (5C connects, 2C whiffs) Bang (5C connects, 2C whiffs) Kagura (5C connects, 2C whiffs) Yes, I know the combo is supposed to work on everyone, but those are special cases. I'm wondering if it has any relation to height, because everyone else was pretty easy.
  7. So would someone mind telling me why it's so hard to follow up with 5C after a 623C<j.214B (whiff) mid-screen combo? I find it stupid that I'm missing out on extra damage because I haven't mastered the timing.
  8. 22B at round start isn't recommended. Most Makoto's I've played do 3C at round start, which has head/body invulnerability. Usually I start the round with 3C, because of they use 3C I can score a nice FC combo to the corner. Other than that.. - Use 421A/j.236A with caution, you can get caught in the start up animation by Lightning Arrow, which is FC on hit. - Watch out for Asteroid Vision resets, a lot of players like to do a few blockstrings, asteroid vision (A) behind you and go for a grab. - Makoto's DD "Big Bang Smash" may not be a great reversal, but it's pretty good at tagging you from across the screen if you're charging in neutral; so be careful where you charge. - Makoto's Astral has a lot of range, and many inv frames. So if she has the conditions filled, you may want to expect a YOLO astral coming your way. - If a Makoto uses 236A>D in neutral, you can 421D>236D through it for free.
  9. Choosing the right color pallete online seems to be my ultimate challenge. I want to be recognized by a certain pallete, but every time I think I have one that I like, another looks better to me.
  10. Reminds me of Tsubaki's loop in CSE: 6C>JC>Grab>repeat And then SMP came along and ruined everything. ;_;
  11. Purple grabbing is a good way to catch someone mashing burst,

  13. Wow, after doing that combo, I really don't even see the point in using the CT route for only a 1000 more damage. (Unless of course I don't have any stock)
  14. Ranked Match. That is all.
  15. I'd like to nominate Nerd455 for running Burning Up, BlueBouts, and other netplay related events on a daily basis.
  16. Anyone play Rachel? I hardly encounter any, so some experience would be appreciated.
  17. Oh really? So we can guard sledge and punish if he goes for hammer?
  18. I'll have to look at the replay again myself then. From what I remember, I accidentally pressed OD by mistake, but I saw my opponent in the burst animation and just chose to guard after the OD animation ended.
  19. You know what would be awesome? If we could destroy steins.
  20. The inconsistency of the connection bar. I've fought 0 bars that had no lag and 3 bars that should have been 0 bars. This is why I don't discriminate, because it's an inaccurate indicator.
  21. So.. what approach has worked for you guys? Getting to him before he gets the doll out, or being patient and waiting for the puppet to come to you?
  22. Well I use it more as an option select. Since I used to use CH 5C > 6C and my opponent would always burst at seeing 5C, so at least with the 5C > OD method you're safe regardless.
  23. Something you may have already known, but when your opponent does something punishable, I find it very helpful to 5C>OD to retaliate. That way if they burst you can guard it, and still deal reasonable damage.
