  1. I understand that it means you've used the same move twice, but why does it matter? And it doesn't always do it, either. I'm pretty sure if you use the first hit of 6C twice in a combo, it won't flag it as a "Same Move Combo". What exactly happens when you trigger that notification? I'm starting to think that maybe this was a way to address SMP loops. Do these still exist in CP? Maybe the "Same Move Combo" only applies to moves with SMP applied to them?
  2. New question: 6B - 5D - d.5C - d.6C - d.4D - d.6C - Muzzle Flitter works on Jin. I've not seen it work on anyone else. Does anyone know specifically who all it works on, and also, why DOES it work on Jin? It's really nice saving that 50 Heat from the RC, so I feel this info would be significant. If no one has an answer, I may spend the night trying it against everyone and posting the answer myself.
  3. Alpha, so here's what I found: Spring Raid - 2A works only 2 ways. Either FC, or a counter hit from a raw Spring Raid. That's where I kept seeing it. If you do a j.D and fall short of your opponent and it whiffs, then you land and go straight to Spring Raid while the opponent tries to hit you as you land, you get your counter hit, and then you can just run with it. Well, it also works with OD, but that just goes without saying. Oh, and can someone explain to me the significance of a "Same Move Combo"?
  4. I feel like I've done corner combos that do more damage than that. If I'm right, I'll post it. I don't use what you have in that video. What I use is more like a CSEX-CP hybrid combo. Also, all your stuff starts with 6A. Do you have any videos for corner combos from crouching hitstun, 6B, or FC 4D/j.4D?
  5. No blue beat. I'm always wary of blue beat. It may be Counter/Fatal Counter when it happens. I'm not 100%. I'll do some checking when I get home, and if I find something useful, I'll post a video or something. Is anyone else here noticing difficulty in Silencer combos? A LOT of times I blue beat between 3C and 22C. Also, that new dash cancel is a bitch, and almost useless. Was there any reason to make it suck so bad? It was wonderful in CSEX! Also, back in CSEX, a late dash cancel would come out as a micro dash, and there were uses for it. I find that if you miss the dash cancel timing in CP, nothing happens, except you drop the combo. D:
  6. Thanks Alpha! Edit: Oh, and are those 4D combos character specific? It seems that sometimes 4D - 2D doesn't work on a jump-in. I think I saw it fail on Rachel multiple times. Not sure if it's that, or I'm just doing something odd. @blackhybrid - if you use Spring Raid when the opponent is off the ground, you can do 2A - 6C - Stuff to pick it back up. As far as I can tell, an A hit is the only thing fast enough to do this without a RC. If the opponent is on the ground, no dice, unless there's something I don't know about.
  7. I need some good Drive hit confirms. If I land a Drive hit, a lot of times I don't know where to go, and usually just drop it or default to an early Spring Raid. I think my biggest problem is that d.6A floats now, and it really messes up my flow. Also, FC 4D. Usually I go 4D - 2D to be safe, but then what? You can Spring Raid, then pick it up with 2A, but sometimes the Spring Raid whiffs and I can't figure out why. Any ideas?

  10. Sorry for the triple-post feel free to combine or whatever. I didn't want to edit my last one, due to change of topic. A few general questions: 1- Is Japanese CP playable against people who own North American CP when it releases? 2- I hear English VAs in the Japanese release. What's up with that? So they make a dub here for the Japanese to enjoy, then delay the game several months before giving it to us? Are the story sections in English, too? Is there English text? Does anyone know if the Japanese enjoy English dubs or something? If there's English and compatibility with the NA release, I'll probably just import a copy now instead of waiting.
  11. You didn't mention it, but you can always throw counter 4D.
  12. I can't speak 100% for CP, but I've played every other version, always a Noel main. Noel's mirror matches suck. I find that 2D is your friend in this matchup. It will beat 4D, which is your worst enemy. However, remember that 2D beats lows, so if they wake-up 2D, and you try to low poke, you will lose. 4D creates a small space before the active frames, which will cause attacks with short reach to whiff. Suffice it to say, Noel's 5A/2A have very short reach. It's usually best to stay at about arm's length, rather than right up next to them. If you find your opponent Drive spamming, remember that Chain Revolver is basically scripted. You KNOW the 4 move limit, and what finishers there are. Best bet is to stay back while CR is occuring, and when you see a finisher or a re-load, dash in and punish. Just watch for Assault Through. That one can be avoided with a jump. If you're in a block string, watch for high (d.6B) and low (6D), and it's easy to poke out longer Drive moves (5D, 6D, 4D, d.6B). I always see characters with DP hit immediately after d.6C. I don't know if Noel can poke out of this, but I don't see why not. If I said anything bad/wrong, feel free to chime in.
  13. I'm still pretty upset about the loss of Optic Barrel A, but is it very detrimental to her play as a whole? And what about floating on 4D now? Any good ways to properly confirm a 4D Fatal? Right now, I pretty much 4D auto-pilot to 6A to give myself that tiny second to get my bearings. Plus, I've never had anyone cut inbetween the 4D and 6A, so it seems pretty safe.
  14. Ok, so on the last one, you went right to Drive 6B.... Is this the same thing as when you buffer, say Spring Raid, by double tapping D just before you land to start Drive, but skip the first move and go straight to finisher? Or is there some way in CP around this? I'm pretty sure it's the first one, but since I didn't import, I just figured I'd ask anyway.
