keep practicing. I found it really difficult when I played this game at the first time. But once you get the timing and feeling for it. Beleive me. It's very easy. Not to scare U but the other variation for Ky's combo is harder to do. this is the easiest one in my opinion. I bet you spamming a lot to input the combo. It's better if you don't spam the button. But it's very hard to get use to it. I myself still do spamming when I input some combo. You must mentally prepared for using Ky. Because someday this character can make U stressed out if you don't. And it's require a hard training. For mixup, wake up game, zoning. Just see the match video from Japan. You can download it from guilty pleasures AC video posting thread. for Ky player that I admire is Buppa, Isa, hanoto They have so many variation of combo, mix-up, etc. You can get some inspiration from them. And what I like about japanese player is... They are stylist. That's the lesson for today:eng101: . hope U like it.

Nah...better U ask the writer. I don't know about it. Basically , to mastering Ky....Combo isn't enough. Ky's combo isn't reliable because the damage is poor. Well he's different with...let says Sol. If you want mastering Sol, U should practice a lot on his combo (Sidewinder Loop) For Ky... U should practicing to do a mix-up, pressure, okizime, cross up, zoning in battle more than the combo. Of course U should learn to play and think fast. Just pick two or three combo that suit you first. Because all of Ky's combo damage is exactly almost the same. After U can control him smoothly, U can add more variation on your combo. My recommended combo for begginer is: GS or Throw (FRC) >5S>2HS>j.S>dj.S>dj.HS>VT It' s much better if you can perform the orb combo it does the highest damage. but don't rely to it too much because it's really hard to perform it on the real match. 2D>LS > 5S >....(same with above) For ground combo...It's up to you. There are so many of them. you can research and found your own combo that suit U. Because Ky has so many variation for this. Good Luck. Fell free to ask if there is something u don't understand. Sure, U must get close to the enemy. It also depends on the character and the position U start the combo. Each Character has a different weight. Example: So basically U find it easier to do on Baiken than on Robo Ky To do the VT loop, your position: Not too close to the corner but not too far. Ky has a plenty variation on combo. It's depend on the usage. Just pick it wisely. There are high damage combo, Tension gain combo, knock down combo, etc. For 2D> VT loop It is for tension gain combo. Because U do VT 2 or 3 times. VT loop will increase your tension a lot.

Well...Every people has a different perception about a character and also a different playing style. What I like about Ky is the pressure. That's why I do pressure a lot. Some people like doing Stun dipper combo ( like Isa ) the other love pressuring with SE (FRC) I myself like pressuring with j.D and CSE. But of course I'm not doing pressure all the time. It depends on the situation. If I pressuring Baiken. Nah that's suicide.... Wondering the meaning....Searching on dictionary:psyduck:

No...no... What I mean Horrible is he's actually stronger in slash and reload his 6HS , 2HS, his CSE, and many more. That's why I say he's horrible in AC. maybe saying horrible is too rough. I'm sorry for all Ky's Fan hehehe... Wait did you say meter gain combo? Which one is it? Can you give me an example?

Ow...I see. The timing isn't same with TK CSE. It's harder to do. Nah...I know that Ky is an horrible character in AC. It makes me stress out many times. So many practice but the result isn't as worth as I use Potemkin. Expecially the damage. So I find it very hard to deal on EVERY character with Ky. But I've already decided him as my partner to be a Good GG player. If I can win a high tier character ( Like eddy , Testament ,etc ) with Ky It's something that makes me proud. Talking about Horrible Damage. Mmmm... I 've been thinking, how can I cause a lot of damage with Ky? His speciallity is pressure. So I'd like to add an attack that can increase the enemy guard meter faster on my pressure. Which one is that? Or maybe you have some pressure that increase the enemy's guard meter faster? Please let me know. THX

Oh yeah it's connect but It's height dependable. I see that it's harder to connect 2D than 5K. I have trouble doing TK SE. I wonder why? my input is the same as TK CSE. 2369S / 2369HS but It's not going as smooth as TK CSE. Am I do something wrong?

@lars too bad it was deleted . I'd looking forward to see your Oki's application. Even it's look too basic but for a beginner that would really help and give some inspiration to do a mix up.. THX for the explaination. maybe I will need your help again someday.

Oh...Is IAD > j.S > j.HS > 2D > Orb combo will connect? I still can't connect it. It will connect if I add 5K after j.Hs. But of course it will make the damage become horrible.... But what I ask above is not Charged Stun edge... I ask about Air Stun edge ( j.236S / 236HS ) Of course you don't do this for oki , don't you? I really love to confuse my enemy with CSE. But...well now it's became harder to do that. Because I should knock down the enemy first. And I should do CSE immediately. But sometimes the enemy hit me first with reversal. (ex. Volcanic Viper) In slash the CSE doesn't take too long so it will be easier to perform the pressure. I found TK CSE (FRC) is quite confusing if I use it for crossing up my enemy. So for downed enemy I do TK ACSE (FRC) and immediately jump over him. To continue the pressure. I don't know why. Maybe because the animation. I pressure them with a ACSE behind them....

Does Anybody have a good move started from ASE (FRC) > ??? I usually do this: ASE (FRC) >AD j.S > J.HS > 5K > 5HS > 2D If you have another good combo or trick for ASE (FRC) please let me know. Thx.

I've seen Your match (Ky) VS Taraction (Sol) The Ky is Greed severs Greed Severs And Greed Severs!!! And The Sol is Volcanic Volcanic and Volcanic Viper!!! Well it's reminds me of my old playing style. But it's okay if it's often hit the target. If I use that in Indonesian League. Ow. Maybe I'm the fresh target for my enemy. hiks. maybe I can't use the GS well. So I rarely use this move. It's seems that U didn't do too much pressure? mmm... And You didn't aware of your enemy's tension so you often eat The wake up's Tyrant rave hehehe... And your SE FRC? mmm...maybe better if U use it for pressure maybe? Different with my playing style. What I love using ky is the pressure pressure and pressure. So that will make my enemy stress. I think that's why I found that using Ky is really fun. Just my perception so If something doesn't suit with U. Just forgive me Okay? THX

Okay I'll Try to help. Is throwing projectile that you mention is Stun Edge ( SE ) 236S /236 HS and Charged Stun Edge (CSE) 236D? So after throwing the projectile You can cancel the movement so you can follow up a mix up to your enemy? OR you can bring the CSE to above? U see a blue or red circle blink from you character? If that so, you're talking about False Roman cancel (FRC) here. The input I usually use is K+S+HS but for some specific character ( Like Johnny ) there are some move that should use P+K+HS for FRC ( Killer Joker FRC). FRC is Crucial in Guilty gear so U must learn the timing if you're new in GG. It's very usefull for a combo, mix up, trick, etc. Of course I find it hard when I myself try to learn it first. But after u get used to it. It's not that hard. Hope my guide'll help you. You can see the detail on general gameplay thread. Correct me if I wrong. Good luck.

Hmmm...I hope the crossup can improve my oki. Does anyone has a good tip for oki? What kind of attack U do for oki? I'm still wondering.... My friend said that TK CSE is better for oki? Why is TK CSE is better than CSE ? ( For Oki ) I don't see the difference tho. Anyone knows? THX.

@shtkn j.S? How could j.S become a cross up? I've read your begginer guide. It's said that j.D can be done as cross up. Can you tell me how? Because honestly I've tried it many times. but It won't work. THX

Hmmm...I see 2P is much easier to perform. For a mix up I'd like to do a cross up. Like order sol ( Gun Blaze ) and Chipp ( Teleport ) Does Ky have something for cross up? So I can add a new mix up on my pressure.

No. it work on standing and crouch position. but remember in this combo, timing is very important. if you miss a second, the combo won't work. And you must get close to the enemy.

Hmmm....why is this forum became so quiet? maybe I'll start to discuss something. What do you use for ground combo ? I usually use this combo: 5K>5HS>6K>2K>5HS> Stun dipper Nice, deal a good damage I think. But the timing is quite hard. Do you have any other suggestion? let me know. so I can mix up my ground combo better. THX.

@ teyah Strange? Mmmm... But It's work...really. But it's depend on the character's weight tho. If It's for normal weight I'll use 2H > j.S > j.HS > .... If it's heavy 2H > j.k > j.D or j. S-HS>ADC. HS>... because with j.HS the enemy will fly higher It it's light weight 2H > j.k > j.D >ADC. D>... Because j.D make the enemy go down This is my research's result. I don't know if it's right or wrong? Or maybe it's too hard to understand my sentences? My english is so poor Huuu... Is j.214S and j.214HS just for combo? Or it's have another usage and trick on it? Hey...It's worked. but it's still quite hard. Hmmm...gotta practice more. Still practicing perform 2H > j.S > AD j.D > AD j.HS > j.214S > land 2HS > [....] (Depend on the enemy) Usually I'll repeat the same AD combo in [.....] But without 214S anymore. I try to research it myself tho. What do you think? Is it good enough? Or maybe anyone has a better suggestion? Please correct me if I wrong.THX

Hmmm....right I have to choose which anti air I should use. Because it has a different usage. My friend said that : 214P (FRC) > J.k > .... Is almost unblock able. Is that true? After j.k what should I do/ input to connect a good combo?
