Impressions after a couple days of almost-nonstop Xrd practice:
If I could go back in time and tell people to play either AC or #R to get a feel for Xrd, I'd definitely say #R now. The general movement feels much more like #R than AC. It feels like moves just have more recovery in general. I also have to unlearn a bunch of habits that I've been building from half a decade of AC (mostly character-specific). Basic-bitch combos do hella damage for seemingly no reason.
The new super flash animations kinda break the flow of the game. You can't even buffer inputs during them. I kinda wish there was an option to turn them off but ASW wants to shove the unreal engine down our throats. RC slowdown has a similar effect but it's not as bad. I miss the surprise factor that the old RCs had.
