definitely going to play it. higher game speed certainly can add some layers since there are a wider range of tempos to f with your opponent's head. it can also reduce complexity, but i don't think that's the case with ACR. would be an intriguing discussion. it's mostly aesthetic to me. it was pure fucking artwork to watch Samitto's pressure and the resulting combos and okizeme were much more interesting/impressive than what i've seen in Xrd... but yeah i should give it time to develop. the corner mix ups and combos are pretty cool with Chipp's new iteration. -

man you can really tell when comparing Chipps... ACR is just delightfully faster than this game this game is newer, visually stunning, and might achieve unseen levels of hype for American GG, but... but the old game is so much cooler to me (then again, i only play GG for Chipp) -

yes, you can follow up on the overhead part of the rekka in +R, though i've only seen it in certain match ups. find me blinks at a fixed rate i believe. in ACR it blinked as well, but the rate of the blink was a lot faster and he was relatively visible the whole time... unlike Xrd where, as you can tell, he seems to be totally invisible when he blinks out. earlier posts say Chipp's teleport is now dependent on the opponent's position. is that why i haven't seen a retreating teleport yet or does it just not exist in Xrd?

@Ronove: and you'd prefer the current Xrd scenario because it forces you to "make decisions" with your meter. i can appreciate that. -

as SuperJ mentioned, there'd be plenty of moves that wouldn't have FRC points, so there would be situations where RRC could be useful. also, since there is time slow for RCs in Xrd, RRC can be more useful than standard RC was in +R. FRC would have a lot less (or zero) time slow, so some combos/pressure may only work with RRC. the Xrd Millias can still YRC for their neutral shenanigans, but when they get the hit, they can do more damage with the same amount of meter. that also means more interesting combos since you can extend them longer. i see your point, but i don't think adding FRC would kill any depth or make RRC non-usable. however, i do not mind RRC being way more situational than FRC. sorry for the troll accusations, i was joking. you make a fair point. i do appreciate Xrd the way it is now, it just sucks i can't do as many alpha blade loops anymore btw i'm not clear on my GG history. when was FRC added, has it existed since the beginning? -

Ronove, you played ACR right? FRCs have a small move-dependent activation window and are only available with certain moves. otherwise, solid troll. -

not sure about the frame window for blitz shield, but it costs 25% meter iirc. slashback's a straight up parry that's risky and costs minimal meter (i think the same as FD?). which is awesome. there is no roman cancel in Xrd that you can use while the opponent is in block or hitstun that costs only 25% meter, and there really should be. -

i really hope they re-add at least FRCs and slashbacks with the necessary adjustments to make them work in this game. i don't see the need for their absence. more depth, richer playing and spectating experience. -

maybe it's just cause i'm a new guy, but i have watched a decent amount of GG and this is the first game i've seen where people get timed out >___> i hope it's just scrubs and not a sign of things to come -
did they get rid of the Genrouzan attack option?
