The BAFGC is hosting (with permission from the NUFGC) an Evo viewing party this Saturday at Northeastern University from 2pm to later. I think. Essentially, it's just a casual session where we play games, watch the Evo streams, and generally have fun. It will also be a 'Learn to Anime' day, where we try to teach new players how to play anime games - most of the Boston and NUFGC players play SF predominantly, though they have expressed willingness to try out anime in the past. Howdy y'all. Northeastern University does have a Fighting Game Club (NUFGC) that usually meets twice a week: Thursday's from 7pm - 10pm and Saturday from 3pm to 10pm (though we do usually go over). We post our events on the NUFGC and MFC Facebook pages, though our President (Draken) might post them a bit late. While it is usually a SFV scene, we do have people bring in other fighting games - GGXrdR and MBAACC are usually there in the sides. Also, the NUFGC does host the BAFGC monthlies, so if you want more infor send me a message here, on SRK, Discord or FB.

For the monthlies, try parking at the Renaissance Garage. Weekends are $8 for the entire day. Also, I'm just trying to gauge interest - but for those in the surrounding states, would you be willing to enter a BBCF tournament at Round 1?

Off the top of my head, when you "Kara" barrier during a jump/air movement, I believe it breaks your momentum? Someone else probably knows more about it than me.

For those of you not in the know, Game Underground (MA) has moved to a new location: Natick Mall, 1245 Worcester St, Natick, MA 01760 We're outside the mall proper, by a Cheesecake Factory and other stores. While we're primarily a Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Guilty Gear crowd, we won't say no to other games - like Persona, Third Strike, Blazblue and more. If you're in the state/area, give it a go~ Fight nights usually start at 8:00 pm - give or take an hour or two.

In his wisdom, my club president has understood the need to relax, and not worry about next week's finals. I.e. there is a (rather small) scene in the Boston area tomorrow (4/25) from 3 to 11pm. While Ultra is primarily played, I have gotten others to play anime fighters like Xrd, BB and UNIEL; if anyone is interested, it will be at Northeastern University - 14 International Village from 3 to 6, and then on the 3rd floor in Curry. Hope to see some there!

Forgot about doing this earlier, but think of this as an advertisement: My school in Boston (Northeastern University) had just started it's own Fighting Game Club earlier this semester! While there occasionally is Xrd, Street Fighter is king as expected. We run casuals on Saturday from 3 to 7:30pm, before we set up for our weekly tournament from 7:30 to 10pm. (Casuals after) I would love it if more anime players decided to drop by! More often than not, I am there with Xrd, BBCP, P4AU, and UNIEL (PS3)... all by my lonesome >.> Casuals are in 14 International Village, NEU. Tournament in Curry Student Center, NEU. No venue required - and there's a Popeyes in the building.

Friday Nights from 7pm or something. This is for stuff like Ultra, BB, Marvel, more Ultra - while Smash is on Saturday. At Game Underground (which is like 1083 Worcester St? well, FB can help you with that) , Framingham, MA.

Nosirree. 108 Broadway, Somerville sent me to a residental district of Arlington. Arlington. It also sent Brawl and others there too - regardless, I'll be there a little past 7 as I usually am.

Just remember to use East End Grille rather than 108 Broadway, if possible (when using Google Maps). And Airk, you coming tonight? Because, there's this cable that's been crying for you these last couple of weeks and it's been grating on mah ears.

Unfortunately, I have stuff to do, a movie to see, so I won't be able to attend. There is a BBCP 1.1 Tourney at TSB this Saturday iirc.

Well, now ya know. If ya need any help with directions, or the address, or anything like that - ya should contact Leo/Brawl directly. He'll more than help. And didn't see you Airk. I was there from 7:45 to 11:00 pm, managing one of the two setups. Played around with Narukami, Kanji, Labrys in P4A for a good while before switching to BBCP. And there were some Smash players who wanted to join too, so that was great. I still didn't get my taco though

Well, I was. Though I'll probably stay there for an hour or two. Maybe long enough for a bite to eat. I want some tacos yo.

But tonight's the last night before the patch though. When else can I play the unpatched characters and broken Koko?!!

Apparently, Fight Night has been cancelled for tonight. I'll be back with more news. Update: So Leo and some of the others can't make it until very late, which is why they're cancelling Fight Night. Since the bar is still booked, and that the Smash community will still show up, I will be there for some time with my single anime setup. So, if you're still thinking of coming, then know that there will be one HD monitor there. Unless something happens. ..... Oh well. (~ o w o)~

I'm bringing a setup. And Airk's cable as well, so don't forget to show up! Expect me around 7, unless something unexpected occurs preventing me from appearing there.

1. It's a Super-Slim. It probably would work with a Slim cable.... maybe. 2. It's in Somerville, Sinder. When using a GPS, ya have ta use East End Grille, Somerville - not its address, since Google and other "Maps" like Arlington. P.S. And was there an event on Thursday?
