I win with just drill zoning. I'm level 16-17 and have no combos or set ups because I'm lazy and I just want to play. Looking at other Zato's doing cool shit makes me jelly.

Well hopefully they didn't list some things for Faust and Millia who look almost unchanged. Faust looks to be a challenge with mentioned changes.

They listed normal's changes for other characters, wouldn't they do the same for Zato if they had? His normals are pretty shit to be honest, what else are they going to do, lol.

I will stick with Zato. It punishes you for not protecting Eddie and I'm perfectly Okay with that. To add to that I think the only time Eddie doesn't recover is during overdrive.

I know Ogawa is the only good Zato and only one in top 50 arcades I believe. That's why I'm scared because I don't see Zato as the best. If he gets nerfed am I going to be able to compete with Zato? Thanks for your input, I'll probably make my decision based on intitial changes because I need to start training soon.

Because I'm thinking of being competitive. I'll decide character after the changes. I think they start next week.

Do you guys think Zato will be nerfed with upcoming patch? I'm ready to drop Zato if he's nerfed. I haven't invested any time in training mode, just having fun online.

I was winning without combos lol. I wasn't using negative edge. The good thing is that I can do his combos on the stick. The bad news is I'm thinking about the stick too much that I can't focus on my neutral or even the combos when I'm facing an opponent. I've been hitting training but I get pissed now because it took me a while to start winning like i went 0-50 before I got a win and then I was winning like 95% of the time. Now I'm barely winning again. It's discouraging.

Just saw other character threads and its really depressing as a new player there isn't a combo thread for Zato. The newer characters have pages filled with combos. I look forward to that combo thread, Busicuits.

Is there anywhere where I can find Zato optimal combos? And are Zato's combos character specific? I tried some challenges yesterday after I learned his throw cancel combo I tried on the rest of the cast and it didn't work the same.

Hot damn that's fast. I have a pretty good internet connection even wireless I play vs japan with no lag. It's why I'm wondering why everyone is negative on the netcode. Forgive my ignorance it's just something I heard. Just looked it up and apparently US is $hit compared to Europe and cheaper.

Everyone seems like a pro online. Damn they all got their combos down, frame traps, movement and set ups after knockdown.

Online is really good. If you're having a problem its probably you or your internet. I've played around 60 matches since I got the game yesterday and most are 2-4 frames delay. I was playing vs a potemkin (around 20 matches) who was giving me 4-9 frames of lag and it was still good. He was comboing me like there was no tomorrow fancy combos with roman cancels into supers and crazy hit confirms. He had perfect setups and frame traps for me. AKA he mopped the floor with me. Everything was super responsive. I'm happy I'm sorry most of you can't be. - new guilty gear player.

Got GGXrd yesterday and the online is pretty good. I get 2-4 frames lag in west coast area and 2-7 lag on east coast. I don't really know the combos but I get combo'd for days. Went 0-20 before I got a win but I'm getting better just need to get a fightstick because I can't do Zato combos with pad

Do you guys think that I can play Zato with PS4 controller? I heard he relies on negative edge and am hoping its possible. I don't really want to spend 200$ for a fightstick when I already have one or 140$+ for a mod which is almost like a new stick. Plus, sticks are big and heavy and annoying. Money isn't an issue but I just can't justify the purchase. If not I just wont play Zato. Thanks.
