[BBCF] Azrael Combo Thread

Humm, 214C>2C>2B>... doesn't seem to work against Hakumen. the 2B whiffs. someone's got a smart idea?
-
Thanks a lot, you're awesome! I managed to get 214C>2C>2B>TCL>Forward Dash>Jump Cancel>j.A.>j.B>j.C>Land>hj.C>jc>j.D for 4157 dmg on Ragna, I'll try it against a few more characters and report back.
-
Awesome, I managed to do it, thanks! Does it work on everyone? Does anyone know if 214C>2C>2B>TCL>Forward Dash>Jump Cancel>j.A.>j.B>j.C>Land>hj.C>j.D is possible?
-
What combos do you guys do after landing a raw 214C? Without weakpoints I found a nice (simple but damaging) one that's not in the combo list yet: 214C > 5C > TCL > 3D = 3576 Depending on the character some delays are required here and there.
-
Thanks, you're completely right! Is it a normal jump after 5A? I seem to whiff the j.C after j.AB. Does it do more damage than this one: Forward Throw > 6A > IAD j.C > 214D > 5A > TC > 236D = 3349?
-
I've got a new combo question (lol, I really suck at execution). I'm trying to do Forward Throw > 6A > f.dash > 5C > TCL > 3D = 3536 Is it character specific? I've managed to get it on Azrael but on Ragna the 3D always whiffs. In the video it seems to me that the L in TCL is slightly delayed, does that make a difference? Do I need to hit 3D as fast as possible?
-
So let me see if I got this straight: You should do Scud>5C>BHS. If you omit the 5C, the enemy can reversal after the super freeze, unless you are in OD as in the above video? If they choose not to tech the stagger from Scud, is it possible to follow up with something else after the 5C to reset them for more damage?
-
I was wondering, is it possible to end a combo with Scud and then go directly to BHS since they can't block it? Anything they can do to get out? I've seen it work in videos but I wasn't sure if the enemy was simply caught by surprise or not.
-
Thanks a lot for the help guys. So I've practiced it a little bit, and if I do everything as fast as possible it seems to make me fall very fast during j.D so it whiffs. Could that be because I'm too early and the jump cancel doesn't take place? If I press 8 during j.C and wait a little bit before pressing D I can sometimes get it properly.
-
well I'm trying to do some which end in 3C > 22C > 5B > j.A > j.B > j.C > jc > j.D in the corner, and sometimes I manage to get it, but usually I drop down before the j.D comes out. Also I'm trying to do 6B > dc >j.A > j.B > j.C > jc > j.D. it's written in the combo thread without a super jump but points to a video where I think a sj is used. I've never managed it with a normal jump, but with a super jump I can get it sometimes, but again usually I drop down before j.D. Also dash cancel to super jump in the correct amount of time is pretty hard for me, but I play on pad, so maybe that doesn't help. Thanks for the help
-
Wait, is it possible to do j.ABC > j.D without super jumping? I've been trying to do it and even when I super jump I often fall too soon to do it. Is there a trick to it?

Using the input buffer to get earliest possible timing

cool, I'll try it like that. So I guess that means I don't need to hurry for the first 6. Thanks! -

You know anything more? Like about how many frames early I can start inputting the first part of the command? and does holding the button down for a few frames work also with directional buttons so it can be used for a dash? -

Well I think just holding the button down for a fraction of a second instead of just tapping it is possible to do consciously, which is why I'm curious to know for which part of the input to do it. I guess my question is whether while I'm waiting for a move to recover in order for my character to accept a new command I can start inputting the next move early and simply use precise timing for the last button (as in tap 6 early and then again precisely as the move recovers in order to get a dash, vs doing the first 6 precisely as it recovers and then the 2nd one as fast as possible). And whether holding one of the 6's will help getting it because of the input buffer. -
How exactly does the input buffer work for moves that have complex input? In order to dash at the earliest possible moment after a move, what do I input, 6 6 a few frames before the end of the recovery (if so, does the input need to start or end that number of frames before the end?), 6 hold6 or hold6 6? What about something like 236A, assuming the previous move can't be cancelled? Just hold the A at the end for a few frames? Thanks! PS: I already tried asking in the question thread without much success.
