But I do. Xrd has the chance to revive a series that I like, which is why I care so much. I got some of my friends and cousins into Guilty Gear because of Xrd hype, but because I looked too much into it, I found disappointment. Blazblue's supers usually are longer, flashier and have more impact than Xrd's. Xrd supers are just so quick and underwhelming. For a "next-gen" game they could have done a lot better. I said it seems BB is better. Because everything I want in Xrd is in Chronophantasma. Online arcade lobbies, big roster, flashy supers, etc. Stuff like more wakeup/oki options, overdrive. I almost want them to implement rolling wakeups but of course that would make Xrd too similar to BB. It just feels like they put more love and effort into BB. The story mode is a lot better and the characters are more fleshed out/developed. BB also has a lot more content than GG. Tyrant Rave, Ride the Lightning and many other moves just look underwhelming in Xrd. Danger Time and Blitz Shield just slows down the already slower pace of battles. No more FRCs. The music in Xrd is garbage compared to Accent Core. The thing that annoys me is I want to like Guilty Gear more. But Xrd isn't letting me.

I really like the arcade lobbies too. It just seems like Blazblue does everything better. I want to like Xrd but it's hard.

SFIV is way too different to compare to Guilty Gear. Compare GG to Blazblue or Persona 4 Arena instead. "Anime airdashers"

Everyone knows Sin is the extra character. Still the current roster is depressing to look at. Newcomers to the series aren't going to be impressed by Xrd's cast and fans of the old games would be disappointed because their mains aren't in it. Personally I would prefer them releasing the game in 2015 it means more characters.

Ask them if they're going to make the next Blazblue more "simplified" like Xrd. Also, ask them if they're working on new characters. The thought of them releasing Xrd and just leaving the roster like that is pretty depressing. It's like a middle finger to all the old Guilty Gear fans.

Guilty Gear doesn't have bad graphics, only when compared to Blazblue. The attacks just seem so underwhelming compared to the ones in BB. You know something's wrong when the normal attacks look cooler than the supers. And when all of them last half a second and have no impact whatsoever. Even the instant kills aren't that exciting except for Faust. I was watching Xrd and waiting to be impressed by their new animations. Their moves are just bland. Slayer punches the guy for his super. Wow. May launches a whale. Ky's Ride the Lightning somehow looks worse than the Accent Core one. In Blazblue, when someone does a super you get this "oh shit it's getting real" and you get a beautiful animation to go with it. In GG you just go "wait, that was it? That was a super?"

It's a good thing people here are aware that GG is overrated. It's not harder than BB. BB has more mechanics and has combos that are harder to pull off. Not to mention BB has a better, more fleshed out story mode to give the characters an identity, bigger roster, better graphics (sprites > Xrd models), better music, better online, better community, better looking attacks in general. Everything in Guilty Gear looks and sounds underwhelming compared to BB but that's just my opinion. Chronophantasma is already better than Xrd to me, which is sad because I got all my friends into GG just for that game.

I know you're drunk so you're probably going to misread this too. If you read my post I say nothing about me liking Smash more or me hating Xrd. I merely said that Smash will be more appealing to the mainstream crowd. (Am I wrong on that?) And I just said more people should be like ElvenShadow if they want the game to succeed, but whatever. I guess because I'm not a game developer I have no right to have any opinion and anything I say will be dismissed as trolling. You're the one name-calling but I guess I'm the "kid" here.

Releasing the game around the same time as Smash Bros. obviously isn't a smart idea. The game is going to need support from all the hardcore Guilty Gear fans (some which already hate Xrd) to be successful. Most kids are into Blazblue and Persona way more, where I live. And everytime I go into a GGXrd preview video, the people in the comments section have a general consensus: it looks good, but I like Blazblue better. There is one irrefutable fact and that is Guilty Gear doesn't have the same mainstream appeal as its brothers (let alone Smash Bros.). The FGC has love for it, but the younger crowd/average gamer will gravitate more towards BB. Smash Bros. is a trillion times more accessible and appealing. Gameplay-wise, Smash Bros. looks a lot more fun. I don't think a typical guy will look at Xrd and say "I'd rather play that than Smash" Graphics-wise, I personally think Xrd looks better. Smash has iconic characters doing wacky things all over the screen. Xrd just looks like anime characters no-one knows about doing typical anime things. I love Guilty Gear and don't want to see it die, but I'm afraid Xrd might do just that. Ishiwatari is dead set on making the game as simple as possible for the newbies and that is destroying the already small group of people who are actually hyped for it. We need more ElvenShadows. More people who can stay optimistic no matter how terrible the game sounds right now. Like a great man once said, "A true warrior is invincible because he contests with nothing."

Do you guys think Xrd will be better if they put in things like rolling on wakeup? I'm surprised people aren't talking about this. If having more options mean more depth, shouldn't this be in Guilty Gear?

Imagine trying to get your brothers, cousins and friend into a series, to prepare them for a game that's coming out. And you find out how bad that game you've been waiting for is. Why have Arcsystem works forsaken me?

Man, if Daigo started playing Xrd, that would be the biggest push the game will get. I think he was a Sol player at some point
