Amen brother. I'm in the same boat. I say the same thing. My wife asks me why I don't just trade the game in for Wolfenstein. I say, "because I ain't no punk b****! Gator don't take s*** from nobody. So now I'm in the lab. Combos every day. Just to get the muscle memory part down. I'm not going online for a week or two. Just combos and defense against the training dummy. Like I'm going to do 100 of the same combo a day...just that one. And then move to the next combo. But the hard part of the game to me is surviving the onslaught of attacks from players and then being able to mount a sound retaliation. This game seems more like who can pressure the other first and keep keep the momentum going. Defense is key, and I need practice. Look up some tutorials by omex on YouTube. Good luck. I know this question had probably been answered before, but I've yet to find the distinction. What is tree difference between the two? Or at least the latest iterations of both franchises. To me the main differences seem to be that BB has a more intricate and lengthy combo system. This is just by the video footage I've watched. Also, BB seems to have more fighters that use off character mechanisms. Litchi rod, relius, Carl, platinum, kokonoe, etc. Sorry if this question has been beat to death. I found a couple informative videos on defense. It explains in depth the different blocks, barriers, knockdown recovery, etc. The application is hard, but at least I know it exists lol. Is there a good tutorial on defense and counters anywhere? I am new and most of the time I just can't seem to mount an offense because I get rush into blocking for most of the match. When I try to retaliate, I get countered and punished into oblivion. For the characters I use (makoto and tsubaki ) is their short range that big of a deal? Stylish, you hit it on the head, capcom hasn't progressed much. My wife asked me the other day why I don't play it anymore. The way Arc is doing games is a bot refreshing. I too went to Guilty gear and since then I knew they were doing the fight game right. I always likes BB, But was never good at it. I mean, I beat the game on hard, but that's different. I'm making progress though. I feel bad playing online, not because I get my buttkicked. But because I feel like I a. Wasting player's time when they run through me with ease.

Noted. I have a lot of time this weekend. I need to jump on a group with the same level of skill as me or a tad better. I will say this, when I made a very conscious effort to stop mashing and do combos, it sometimes worked. I'm finding her best normal for a starter is 5b.
