I get there at 5:15 and am usually there all night, but I pretty much just stick to blazblue. It technically starts at 7, I think. People usually start getting there between 7:30 and 8. We usually try to start the tournament by 9.

Its a bunch of guys that are all there because they love playing the game. If you are willing to learn while taking a beating in the process, nobody will judge. Most players are pretty experienced, but there's always a handful of people that are in the process of picking it up. Play some games, ask questions, have fun, and you will get along just fine.

Depends on what you are looking for. Friday is the Xrd monthly, so if you want exposure, it is a chance to play a lot of different people in one night. I've been going for about 6 months, and I can't recall SG ever being played at a station, though.

Do you guys need consoles? My monitor is mounted and not mobile any more, but I can definitely bring my ps3 and/or ps4.

I've been wanting to hit ignite, but its a longer commute for me to make it a regular one. That being said, I'm really just dying to find people to play with and talk with about this stuff. I live with everybody I personally know that plays fighters, and I live alone.

I am new to the Guilty Gear universe starting with Xrd. I learned a bit about Millia, but I sort of require busy characters to keep me interested. I typically lean towards really high execution character, like Litchi in bb and c.viper in street fighter. I really want to learn Zato, and I know it comes down to a lot of muscle memory with him. There also is not a huge archive of resources with information on him because he is pretty free-form. Is he still the kind of character that can just be learned over time by playing against live people? Part of my problem is that I don't currently have anybody to play with, online or off. He's an intimidating character, and that is only magnified by lack of opportunities to play against people and chat about stuff.
