  1. Apologies for double-posting But yeah this is a thing now
  2. Apparently I've been working on this as early as Late 2016/Early 2017 if the project folder and files are to be believed .-.
  3. *4-5 months of studying mixing and mastering later* Oh, and didn't want to say this outloud in the description, but after my ear got sharper and sharper at some point I stopped listening to GG/BB's newer songs. They are just too loud and with too little bass presence. XD
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3JD6OTbFfk Been trying some things mastering-wise, trying to not squish/compress the dynamics and make things not as loud as I used to.
  5. So, this is a thing now. owo
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=902ugZbiAfU Dustloop semi-crashing when I was posting, oh well. Thanks! I worked a lot on it! ^^ And ohh, I just realized that. o:
  7. This one is a straight cover, not much to say about it, I've been working on my mixing a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB3qlzLT_EY I wanted to give more emphasis on the bass on this composition, might do more remakes, might not, who knows? Up next: Endless Despair II re-cover, almost done with it but some small details with the mixing are still to be fixed if I remember right.
  8. http://www.mediafire.com/listen/0a1i48a7c5scwyc/Preview.mp3 First of all, IT'S LOUD, so watch out (I didn't get used to mastering yet) Second, beware: Engrish and Ride the Fire. Third of all, things to keep in mind: -Mastering isn't final, some dynamics keep bumping off when the vocals kick in, this is because the volume is too loud before going into the mastering plugins, I will fix this ASAP and definitely before uploading the full thing. -I bought a new mic, so yeah, this had to happen soon or late. owo. -IDK if this is an experiment or not. So yeah, I'm open to comment and critiques as usual, just... Have tact lol, I have bottom-tier self-esteem for my voice. :v
  9. Fun fact: I had a literal Bach phrase for an intro before given it was public domain music (I think so atleast), but I was against putting it on the final song you hear now for many reasons. AND WHY YES, IT WAS THAT ONE YOU HEAR IN PRESTO VIVACE'S JERUSALEM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8_lMhSWSXI And yes, the track's name while it had that phrase was "Bach Onto This" (YAY JON LORD), which is why the current name is kinda... Half-assed. lol
  10. Jack-O and Jam's fanmade themes, now with ASW's blessings (Thanks @GVGguy) ...What? You thought I laid on my bed doing nothing for over a month? (Partially true but still...)
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOh7uFObr24 The time has come. THE TIME FOR KY. This thing is... Different for sure. But anyways, enjoy. ^w^
  12. Sorry for taking so long to reply, I was wanting this synth for myself If you mean like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEkaPj-FwUY Or this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uusgGBpgoM "It's called Velo Lead, it's done by combining a Square and a Saw, filter on both, resonance more or less bringed up until it brings the high harmonics without making it squeaky/high pitched, put through a Chorus/Flanger, put through an amp simulator, through a distortion hi-gain to string it all together, then Reverb/Delay to like" ...Sorry if I confused you more with the explanation (I quoted somebody and translated it, it makes sense to me as a music composer... Kinda XD), but yeah, it's called Velo Lead. =P I remember hearing it's sound or something similar the first time I heard to Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force by hand of Jens Johansson.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ut-XIdcmTw Here's... Something different, I took the Ride the Fire tab, looked at the harmonics, and attempted my best to recreate the vocal melody, sadly it's not 100% accurate, and decided to add some of my own stuff as well, so might as well call this a "Remix" more than anything. =P Specials thanks to ktulu5453 for the tab and GVG for giving me enough inspiration to actually try this. XD Also this does not means I'm doing remixes, just that the vocal melody was easy enough to recreate for me to actually attempt this.
  14. Actually unless I'm wrong that is a reference to a song by Gamma Ray (Where's Justice's Overdrive name comes from): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm-DFXwl4i0 The Black Sabbath song is called Heaven AND Hell, though I wouldn't be surprised if is a double-reference (Like Hammerfall the band and Hammer to Fall the song of Queen for Potemkin's special move) Actually now that I think about it... Why isn't there more guitar equipment references, we have OverDrive as a system mechanic which is a guitar effect, why not Screamer, Distortion, Reverb, Delay, etc?
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYhMK1K-qnA So... Somebody requested me to make a fan-made Raven theme, and since I had no better to do at that time/Wanted to try some new techniques (And song progressions, for example the "Real" chorus doesn't show until the second loop and it's a bit solo-ish in aspect, so it could be both), I decided to give it a spin. Like I said in the description, with my style it's impossible to match the level of "Dark" of the original Raven theme, so here's my interpretation. Also in contrast to my Zappa theme I decided to go straight more into the point, but I think I could have done a bit more of buildup. =P Also not going to lie... I really tapped into my inner Michiru Yamane lately. XD
  16. Obligatory "Fumando en el Water/W.C." request from a Latin American. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUwEIt9ez7M If not, Burn, actually any reference from Deep Purple would be amazing. Also Dio, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, his solo career, Heaven & Hell, ANYTHING.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq4I9fI9a5U Heeeeeeeeeeere's Terumi! I learned so much while doing this, such as Attack and instrument delay (The violin had to be delayed a bit for the attack to properly kick in with the rest of the notes), yet there is still much to learn. :3
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbvO2ONeTqs Request from a friend for an attempt at a Zappa Xrd-theme. Oh wow it's been a long time since I attempted one of those, so please critique away. Also just like in the description, it's supposed to fit more S-Ko given you are fighting her and the ghosts (Because Zappa is unconscious) First minute is ambient sounds, then the melody kicks in.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEatI0rGuPs Cover of Slayer's original XX theme, thanks a lot again to Maverick_Gear for providing the tab in the tabs thread. c: Anyways, don't have much to say unlike most days because it's 12 AM here and I'm too tired. If I forgot something important please let me know. @_@
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNLvhHovoUI Redid my Hazama cover, then re-mastered it because it was too loud, lol. So what do you think? Better? Worse? An awkward middle between both?
  21. Well guys and gals it finally happened. After weeks of searching I found the infamous "S.S.H. synth" in the form of a preset for a VST and the tab for Holy Orders by them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_hD1CmSsVs Enjoy and have a happy new year!
  22. Thanks a lot! ^^ On that note, GORILLA COVER TIME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kNe5kjmnFc
  23. Sure, I don't do original compositions anymore because I'm on a huge creative block and now I'm actually learning slowly in a music institute how to compose music formally, but I'll accept all the help that I can. But we should continue this in PMs given I don't want to derail this thread too much. ^^; On another news, here's my take at Relius's theme, not fully accurate though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k74bMPrHIAU
  24. Hey Beast of Fire and Seth, just wanted to thank you both for the amazing tabs! I made this Cover of Hazama's theme by using them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Wcf38eUvPw Again, thanks a lot! Will be looking forward to any future tabs and wish you both good luck! And sorry if I give somebody fake hype of a new tab by posting in here.
