The painting in that Hazama pic is actually a pretty good start. If you didn't know about this already, this book is one of the best out there about figurative drawing. Learning anime anatomy first can seriously, seriously screw up your progress later on, so you might want to get the 'oldschool' basics down first. Anime styles are based on those foundations anyway.
