Alright. So far my impression on 2.0 haku, good/okay but I dunno, feels very restrained/limited-even with Kami-sama-Poropiccho on the helm. How about you guys?

I noticed that most Haku players let Zan Finish with the second hit. This sacrifices the damage for any subsequent hits after right? Or is it not possible to kishuu after the first hit anymore in 2.0?

Yeah...I really like his play, he is another poropiccho in a sense that he is immensely in control when he plays. Chin is super awesome too, but is subject to some random decision making.

For me while I'm okay with the new version, I still see the 1.0/1.1 version to be the better one to play for me. Hakumen can open up other characters with less frequency due to his mobility, and getting that ch 3c or any touch was really needed. Now, people don't have to fear hakumen in midscreen like they usually to in cp1. removing jc'able enma was a big reduction in flexibility imo. and it is sort of counter-intuitive that they seem to want haku players to go to renka to start off combos then cancel to other moves, which use meter, but we have even less ways to earn meter from the D not absorbing projectiles on catch. Drive over all is worse. I dont see any of the hakumens in the videos using the special cancellable properties at all. I'd rather just take the free grab and oki myself.

his damage with zantetsu is waaay stronger now. but the opportunities in landing seem harder, as well as the starters that he lost suck as well

I think theyre trying to suggest renka as a starter to transition to enma or zantetsu(the latter better) the thing is, I find it counter intuitive that they removed meter-earning from caught projectiles, when they want us to blow more to get the damage we want. meaning, we do get significantly less damage for meter-saving combo paths, while we blow more meter for more or less same damage for less meter in 1.1.

It doesn't. I tried it already. Once you do 2c zantetsu will completely whiff.

Thanks for the insights. I've gotten so used to doing zantetsu in the corner that this is affecting me a bit. I'm definitely thinking renka(1) >zan>6c to usual hotaru stuff will still do, with the same amount of meter as before. yeah i also love the 4c change. the super charge feature was not really that good, although not being special cancellable on normal hit does hurt a bit. I'd hold off a bit on the kill combos for now honestly. I'd rather get wind of the stuff that we can generally practically do in matches.

Yeah I tried that as well. works consistently on all characters I tried to use it on. Like I said, midscreen can still incorporate ZAN since 2b> gurren>enables this. Also, I found out that the first slash has to be slightly slightly delayed when they bounce back to you, but will catch their character even if theyre close to the ground already. I prefer doing kishuu right after gurren to enable another 5c which beefs damage up. however, with the new prorate stuff for zantetsu, we can probably just let it rip on its own even with the second slash I'm just worried for corner stuff since thats where we do even more damage.

We CAN get combos but those will do significantly less without zantetsu, especially corner where it is integral after 5c before. Im thinking of doing renka(1)>zan>stuff, but all of these cost more meter than just going for 5c zan straight away.

I came up with something in the current version for midscreen if we really want to put zantetsu in. 3c ch> 2b>gurren>kishuu>5c>zan>stuff for corner I'm still lost. 2c >jc>hotaru> stuff comes to mind, but no zantetsu.

Yes, I think it was mentioned in one of the twitter feeds a friend gave me. "3c ch > 5c gone, hotaru combo rate is shorter, backthrow combo gon"

I was wondering how can we get a zantetsu combo off of ch 3C since ch 3c>5c can't be done anymore. For midscreen I can think of stuff already, but for the corner I'm pretty lost.
