  2. Not specifically Venom related, but for me having trouble doing air throws, I discovered that back air throws are more easy to land than front ones. I tried air front throwing a descending opponent and miss almost 100% and that is reversed for back air throws. I'm assuming that this is the case for every character.
  3. I wonder if they ever felt they made a character perfect but had to change them just because. I mean you can re-roll a character's mechanics oh so much.
  4. Huuuh. That's still strange. I wonder what they felt about the AC+R people changing to Xrd felt.
  5. Besides some universal changes, I've seen that there are no balance changes to any of the characters. Which is odd, because with Arc, any new iteration gets a balance tweak. Anyone know why? Or is it suppose to be a patch to Xrd that adds in the new chars+universal change?
  6. So yea, probably a laaaaate-no-point-post but her hat apparently makes it so we can get c.S(3) on crouch. Not too close or too far. AIM THAT STICK TO HER HEAAAAAAD
  7. Normal block 2D>Carcass Raid can be punished by his 2D; that is, he can get a CH 2D reliably before Carcass Raid hits. His 2D is wide as shieeeeeeeet. Air ball summon will at worst get you hit and at best, leave you blocking (if the Chipp is good enough). And a ball-less Venom in this match-up is ballssss.
  8. His 5P is also a good anti-air. Anyways, make sure your oki is tight because he can backdash through it. He can backdash through a good chunk of our moves, cept for something like HS Double Head Morbid. I like using it if they try to BDC into something in neutral and you're at a spot where ball summoning might not be the best idea. Of course DHM is definitely minus on block so keep that meter handy. Also if you're complacent with Carcass Raid in your pressure, he can Dandy>X punish. You can throw him out of Helter Skelter, and any time he tries to dash cross-up through you. You can throw him out of his various Dandy Steps too, but it tight ya'll.
  9. Anyone else feel like Ram is a better Venom? _like srslyyyyyyyyyyyyy_ Also, anyone found any stuff that beats her air normals? Cuz she can flail her limb all match like a wet dildo and I can't slap it away cuz Venom's own jP is too slow and his other air normals hit at specific angles (and are also slow compared to hers). Also Teef is obviously the best Venom in the world if he can shit talk so well.

  11. As someone who up backs like a motherfucker, Sol is a yare yare daze with his 5K and rising j.H/air throw. So if any of you Saul Paulo's out there see any jump Venom's, if you whiff an air throw, j.H's great hitbox will at least allow you to stop them from getting too jump happy.
  12. I tried it myself. I mean, it's not easy but doable. Unless there was a gap when I made the computer do it. PRETTY SURE I DIDN'T. For that one instance of her move where you instant block her, sure.

  16. I think your talking about Danger Time? :333? One of the main reason my friend finds it in b-b-bad tastes is that the one in Hellfire needs less chances to get the right reads to end the match, when that person shouldn't have for losing so far in the match. I like rhino sex.
  17. I had a debate with uh friend saying how much Hellfire is a detriment to the game, giving a free reward to the losing opponent. Whereas I didn't see it as too impactful. WHAT'S D-LOOP'S ONIONS

  19. How's everyone's neutral been doing? MINE IS TERRIBLE. Can't summon a ball lest I incur the opponents aggro. Just the thought of getting knocked down once and being mix-uped to death, aaaa~aaall because I didn't do such and such in neutral really bothers muh mind given that I get rushed down the moment I have breathing room. What's everyone's favourite (READ: SCRUBBY) way of avoiding the enemy? I tend to do double jump jH, and backdash like a motherfffffker. I feel terrible doing so.

So what I got out of this so far is that THEY NERFED AKIHIKO FOR NO GOOD REASON. :33 Anyways, from your translations I take they're making Akihiko's Persona moves more useful; his D moves being able to maintain (not gain) cyclone meter sounds good since the start-up is relatively fast. Add that with the new change, we can apply more pressure instead short weak stuff like duck>hook or something. I can already fore-see doing like a lvl5 5D(long active magnetism c:) >SB Duck goodness (or doing multiple D's in a string). However, it seems you can't do a D move as a starter into cyclone pressure. I don't mind the damage nerfs since Akihiko has that pretty much covered, and did want more ways to get in from the transition to P4AU from P4A. Although, I still think he should have a new low... I like vaginas :3

  22. I have definitely been having troubles responding to my opponents jump-ins with Venom's Anti-Airs'. Here are muh thoughts of his AA mooseveset: -6P with K/P ball is good at long-ish range, although having it travel slower would be great. By itself, I wished it actually comboed into 6HS -2HS feels similar to 6P but lower and more to the front. More of a poke than an AA. Bad if they double jump -HS Carcass is a good denial tool although prepping it up in reaction to an air-approach is something I don't usually think about -I tried to do preemptive jD's but the slow start-up and slower recovery makes it ass for that Also, wish I can do psychic air throws. :333333
  23. Aww, that's sad to hear. Since when did he play bad or middling characters anyway? :V I'm preeeeeeeetty sure Venom was high tier in both AC+/R(?) and we all know about the Vampira. He should play like Sol and dragon install every match like I do :3
  24. As far as blocking things go, if I find myself yielding to their neutral and being put into blockstun, it is just as bad as if being knocked down. The point of the game is to avoid the opponents attacks while fitting in yours. There are a lot of ways to avoid getting hit, blocking being the standard but not best solution (try blocking Zato unblockables). You can jump, double jump, backwards/forwards air/ground dash, mash out your pokes, etc. You have all these options and sometimes its confusing when you should get in, but that's why you have to be patient and understand how your opponent reacts to the way you handle your approach to them (OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE NEUTRAL PHASE). *burps* ;3
  25. Did you ask Ruu about the good ol' days of when he was being b-b-beaten up by N-Otoko? :33 SPEAKING OF WHICH, anyone know any news about him lately? Really liked his playstyle in AC but I know he didn't really play +R and got into dominating vampire loli's. Fino is cool too.
