XRD [Xrd] Chipp Zanuff Gameplay Discussion
Serious_is_Me replied to AtTheGates's topic in Chipp Zanuff
I just came here to edit my previous post, I finally got it... I was really stupid, I did it good the whole time, I thought I wasn't because I couldn't confirm it... All I had to do in order to confirm that I was doing it good was just replacing K with H and I noticed the differences, j.1~[H] stopped me further than j.1[K]~ I can't believe I haven't realized it before. anyways thanks.- 260 replies

Serious_is_Me replied to AtTheGates's topic in Chipp Zanuff
I need help... I can't figure out how to do Chipp's FDC, I can only get a regular FD or j.2K... I know that the input is j.1[K]~... Someone can tell me how to do the input more in detail? Thanks... *New player obviously EDIT : I just noticed someone asked about it too... I still need help...- 260 replies

Im not getting blown up dude... most of the matches I lost were really close, I just said that because of my poor connection with the NA servers (Europe lobbies are mostly dead) im getting a lot of hits that I will never get if it was an offline/good connection game... I can barely do 41236H YRC and 63214S, because of the annoying input delay im getting, . So I want a character that will last longer and will able to trade hits better... Easy wins are the last thing im looking for man... if I would, I should have picked the highest tier character and practice him to death (is it Zato?)... Hell, if I would have look for easy wins I wouldn't play a niche game like Guilty Gear... the reason im playing this game is because I think that it's the best fighting game by far, everything about it is amazing, except the fact that the European community is dead by looking at the lobbies.... Again im maining Chipp because he is the character I like the most, and even if he was a garbage tier I would have still main him, so easy wins are not my thing, especially when this game is so deep, cheap wins are not rewarding at all... I wish the next installment of Xrd will get a European version... I can't believe how such a great fighter that is 10 times better than MKX (IMO) selling so poorly im not expecting MKX numbers of course, but at least a number that is close to Blazblue...

Yes, Chipp's poor defense is the main reason for why I want to learn a secondary character... I chose Sin because I like Sin's design (gameplay/look/story wise), and the fact that his dmg is insanely high, at least in comparison to what i've got used to while playing Chipp lol. also the fact that he is easier to play than the debating characters I wanted as my secondary Zato or Slayer.
-
Yes his basic combos are really easy to do even with lag, but his combos that require wall cling not so much... but I still haven't started on learning Jump Installs... are they essential? at least for Chipp and Sin?

I ment practical not practice... lol* thanks for the responds.

This is my first Guilty Gear game, also im a new to Sticks (I got HRAP 4 Kai) but I actually got used to it pretty quick, I heared stories that it will take months, but after like 1.5 weeks I played around 20 hours during that time period (I guess) Offline (Practice/Arcade/Versus) and I feel my muscle memory with the stick is very good, the only "move" im not doing constantly is IAD which I can execute in like 70% of the times. -When you practice combos in training mode, do you enable the auto block after first hit and recovery? -Is there any uses for Taunt/Respect? or is it completely useless and I can unbind it. -Is it recommended to bind Burst macro ? (I do) im playing a customed Type-A My layout. K--S--HS--Taunt P--RC--D--Burst -Should I switch Taunt with a Blitz Macro? Because of the delay input and lag in Online, does it necessery to master the "over the top" combos? (you know what I mean) If I will put the time I'm sure I will be able to execute them, the question is, are they practical? with the lag? Im maining Chipp and im only using B&B stuff and it's works kind of fine for me, I won few matches, and lost more, but the lag was terrible, so I can't really take those matches seriously, I fought players with like 1000+ matches mostly Millia and Elphelt, I will try to optimize and upgrade my Internet connection... Im also planning on learning Sin as my secondary, I freaking love this character... how is he in terms of difficulty in comparison to Chipp? all I know is that his dmg is far higher than Chipp's from what i've tested, and he's taking less dmg which is really good online sorry for the long post

Can someone tell me which layout will be good for Chipp? also, is Taunt important? I thought Type 1 is Default... I changed to Type 1 and it's defenitly feels better, I binded RC to Circle, Taunt to L1, and Burst to L2. Should I change the Macros or the Buttons?

As a new player, what's the best/popular layout? is it the default? or something else?

Pre-ordered yesterday, the Stick is officialy working on both PS4 and PS3, I don't plan on playing any fighters on PC/360/X1, so it doesn't matter... but im sure that I can make it work on PC with a regular DS3/Sixaxis driver, if somehow I will need it for PC (very unlikely) The detalis are here : http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RZ7T8N6/ref=pe_385721_37986871_TE_item I can't believe, they raised the price just after I ordered... lol, by 30$! thanks god I payed just in time. -

I know that Sticks are not must to play fighting games, but I played a lot of Tekken 6 and TT2 online, and doing things such as EWGF/OTGF and wave dashing is just slaughtering my fingers, that's the reason I stopped playing Tekken... even Rekkas on SF are just hurting your thumbs with a pad and it lowers the level you play... I know Luffy won with a PS1 pad... but if you are being honest with yourself, pad can be pain to play with... The only fighting game I can think of that is not requiring a Stick is MK, because combos are way too easy and there's not a single hard input in the game besides Kabal's iaAGB. That's one of the main reasons... I still remember the pain on my fingers from playing lots of Tekken and even from playing Smash Bros on the 3DS... -
I just got Xrd (PS4)... and I know that fighting games requires a stick... I thought about buying Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai (PS4) which coming in March 13. It's crazy hard for me to find an arcade stick, because you can't find them in my country, and most sites don't ship here, or if they do, they will take like 60$... I can get the stick for 170$ with shipping which is not too bad... how is Hori in comparison to Madcatz? and if it matters, im planning on using Chipp and Faust. is this stick worth investing? I know the price is maybe a little high, but unfortunately, I don't think I have any good alternatives
