I'm a Millia player and I gravitated towards Rachel back in CT. Now though, I'd say Relius is quite good for rushdown/oki set-ups, much like Millia.
-
Think I'm just gonna go digital for any baka gaijin release from now on. Having it instantly is just too good.
-
Perhaps it's better if you look on the regular site instead of the mobile one. EDIT: Your invoice states 24th October, you might show up until tomorrow...
-
Log in to play-asia and go on "my account" then click on the order. Hopefully should be there.
-
Yeah... be sure you buy the digital version and not the physical one, otherwise you're in for a wait!!
-
It'll be under "My Account" first.
-
Is this for PSN cards? I ordered mine before and they were in my orders straight away...

Hmmm, I rarely post on this forum but I agree with the OP personally. However it's one of those situations that will not resolve itself in this generation of FG's. There have been countless times where I've seen someone state that GG is better than "(insert game here)", and usually will see the '09'ers coming back with the "gtfo GG elitist", or "stfu anime fag - waifu - blahblah" kinda backlash. After being so amazing in previous generations, in this one I think Capcom (particularly Ono) completely ruined 2D fighting games. It is very clever what they did with SF4, in which they created a game that when picked up by a newbie, it becomes the only game they can play due to the system (shortcuts, links, game speed, simplicity). No-one likes feeling alienated so those who try to pick up another game and have difficulty getting their heads around a system so different to what they're used to, most give up. However, recently I have been given hope since the current generation is ending, and I have faith that Arc will not completely bollocks up the localisation of GGXrd (with it's new-found simplicity compared to AC) - and it will somewhat restore the popularity of the series in the west with old players while attracting new ones. On the topic of attitude; if a player is so shallow that they cannot see past the art style of a game or the fandom of it's players, then they do not deserve to reap the benefits of playing said game, and quite frankly should dead.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Kane replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
Canon-wise some of them are dead. Just a thought, but the game looks set shortly after GGAC, AC Millia ending, she cuts her hair into the style shown in the XRD trailer. -
Only just realised this was here. I hope to get GG on PSN in the Manc FG house soon so I can bring my own fabulous brand of punishment on all you lovely boys~ ;D

Thanks for the info! Sounds really useful, didn't even know that this was possible. Sounds like a smarter use of meter instead of 2AB > OMC > standard mid-screen stuff. IMO all Mitsurus should always be charging back/Down-back after a coup.
-
Why would you waste the meter? It sounds even riskier! Doesn't Labrys' DP charge absorb anything you hit her with (not tested supers)? I definitely know you cannot throw her. The logical thing to do would be to simply bait, then block the R-action and punish with 5B FC into big damage. That would be a much better use of meter.
-
Are there any who have the game? Myself and my housemates would welcome some online matches.
-
Labrys can charge her R-action, unlike S.Labrys. I've seen players 5A > TheBox on Labrys players and land on the other side of them. I've also seen Labrys' DP win out with a CH so it's up to you, if you wanna try something that risky.

Seemed to me like he was playing Prada like 95% of all other Prada players. Pressing buttanz and getting away with it.
-
Gonna add something really basic, but I noticed happen a couple times. VS Mitsuru, there absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be constantly blocking low when she is on the ground. It seems a couple times you were only blocking high and getting hit by 2AB. When being pressured by Mitsuru just block low.

nstalkie is correct. It's not so much a "dash cancel" as it is cancelling the dash into a move. Say you hitconfirm a 5D~D, then do j.2C as you're pulling yourself in. As soon as you land you can input a dash, then cancel the dash into 5A/5B/5C etc, I imagine it's because the hitstun from the j.2C is big enough that it allows you to input a quick dash and cancel it into a normal to continue the combo. To practice this, I just did 5D~D > j.2C then dash 5B or 3C > 214D~C dash 5C It doesn't look any different in CS2, if it was I think it'd be a big enough change that it'd be listed.
-
What I dislike most about this match-up is that it is so rare you actually come across an arakune at all, nevermind one that knows what they are doing. I'd say punish his air specials with chains, watch out for j.4B, 5C and 2C and just stay the fuck away until you get a hitconfirm chain. Got trampled by a good Ara the other night because I was too impatient, curse is just awful.

I'm suprised no-one has talked about how 6C forces standing on hit. This is incredible. Everyone is saying mid-screen dmg is going to be garbage in CS2, well Rachel doesn't need to do mid-screen combos anymore, she can just combo into 6CD and push the opponent to the corner, guaranteed every time, plus you get good damage off it anyway. Plus wind effect is stronger in CS2, so maybe you'll only need to do one 6CD which saves on wind. 5B > 6CD > j.2C > 5B > 5CC (in corner) 214A > 3C > 236A etc etc. Looking at these changes, the simple factor of Rachel being able to force the opponent to the corner guaranteed on hit (plus her insane oki/mix-up game is back) will make her high/top tier.
-
6A has guard point. 2C is universal gdlk AA. ---------------------- Looking at the current changes for Valk in CS2, it seems they did quite alot of nerfing, which I think is fair enough (his damage output is insane). My main concern however, would be 6C not wallbouncing anymore. I also wouldn't want 2C to be too slow to use as an AA.
-
lol @ this thread. Mate, what you're describing there is generally called a "mix-up". Half of the game is knowing what your opponent's character can do. If you don't know what their blockstrings/mix-ups are, and your opponent knows his shit, then you're just making hard work for yourself. This isn't hard in BB, but it's essential for Tekken as there are a shit ton of characters.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uW2S-pW_B8 SVB 20-X 3v3 finals. This was run after the finals, so we were all tired, hence the crappy play.

The super connecting is height dependant. Also you can hold down C while you do 632146, and it'll still work. IMO, you should be practicing dash, 3C xx jayoku.

If anyone is interested, I've been testing reliable IB punishes for some match-ups I've not been comfortable with, I've posted my findings in the match-ups section. So far I've done: Haku-men Carl Ragna Jin Litchi Bang
