  2. yeah GG didnt even make it into EVO this year...speaking of which I didnt even realize that it was this weekend. I will be tuning in 2morrow on the live stream to root for you guys. Kick ass and take some names!
  3. yeah I read that in the previous pages, that is fantastic news and I wish you guys the best of luck. I bet there is gonna be some tough competition. Regarding the Lovegetty scene though, do any of you guys still game there?

  5. lol! could've been worse, since I havent been on DLoops much, I could've shown up last night to find the place dead, and wondering "wtf?!" xD and yeah, i got some funny looks and responses regarding my absence, i swear the first thing Nazir said to me was "I thought you were dead!" LOL too good too good! btw i just read the new posts, congrats on winning first gl with BB teams.
  6. hey guys, just wanted to drop in and say good luck for T11. Sounds like BB will be close to 50 entrants or maybe even more! That is fantastic. Im sure everyone going will have a blast. Also wanted to add that I really enjoyed catching up with everyone @ ghetty last friday, and even though Im not feeling FGs (or even video games for that matter) at the moment, I'd love to drop by on a friday in the next cpl weeks and join you guys for dinner and hopefully catch up with those I missed. I'll make an effort to keep in touch here as well. take care, Derek
  7. ^^ with the console release only a cpl months away, you can bet that he's right about the sub-forums for each character. the guides coming along nicely. Im actually working on a gatling chart for him so I can send that your way as it develops if you would like some help.
  8. good info man, I remember messing around with Gauntlet hades RC combos way back when so Im definately gonna work on those. I'll do what i can to work out character/situation specifics. Thx for the advice regarding 3C combos. I still wanna do some more testing on the stuff i mentioned but I wont focus on it as much. Cheers. p.s. and yes this thread rox!
  9. hit up the arcade last nite and did some messing around with 3C... you can easily reset somoone after 3C with 2B so this is possible - x > x > 3C - 2B 5C jc into w/e also 3C into 5D(2 hits) combos into Hell Fang only on certain characters unless you're in the corner, I havent finished my list yet but it would whiff midscreen vs. Rachael, Noel, and Carl, but it hit Noel and Rachael in the corner [edit: didnt realize soon enuf to test it in the corner against Carl]. The opponent recovers too fast to hit a 5A afterward (which sucks cause it works after a 2D... i.e. 2D - reset w/ 5C - Hell Fang 5A 5B 6A or w/e.) I ended up having to RC and you can easily do an Air combo, they recover fast so I had to use jB jC [dj] jC jD but Im pretty sure you can RC dash into 6A or maybe even 5B. Also, 3C 5D(1 hit) into Hell Fang worked vs. Everyone I tried, and the opponent is fairly low to the ground afterward so you could RC dash into 5B 6A, etc. if you're willing to burn 50% meter Im sure there are better things you can do like Inferno Divider, but its something to keep in mind. I was surprised to find out how long the untechable time off Carnage Scissors. Even from mid-screen you have plenty of time (without an RC of course) to run with 5B, and it combos from a lot of stuff, 5C, 2C, 5D (either hit). also I accidently figured out that Hell Fang [RC] combos into 6C and Im pretty sure my opponent wasnt crouching...like i said thouhg, I didnt mean to do it and I didnt think to try it again... Any followup air combo from 6C will prolly be lest damaging/on par with 6D j.D [land]combo...but 6C opens up a few windows that 6D-jD doesnt. cheers
  10. edit: BnB -> 214A -> RC, run up 5B-3C-5D(1 hit) -> 623C-236C-236C, land, 22C. haha, i had question regarding 5B gatling into 3C, but I guess that confirms it. badass combo btw. 2nd edit: while Im at it, does anyone know if you can reset an opponent after landing 3C, i.e. 3C and then 2B > 5C or just 5C. Will that work like it does on 2D? Or can the opponent recover in time. Im guessing though that if it does work, it only does so from a limited distance, and that there are probably more damaging options, like the one above: 3C 5D (1) Inferno etc. Just wondering though. Thx.

  12. ^^^ sweet, thx for the quick reply. also, nevermind about the gatling chart, I found the one in the jp wiki like 5 mins later =D edit: posted by Stun Edge 6A(counter)>JCC>Astral so you cancel the jump cancel with the Astral similar to combos in Fate/Codes or 3rd Strike's super jump cancelled normals into Supers. So something like: 6P (CH) [63]21412369C the initial 63 motion isnt really necessary, but you're alrdy pressing forward so you're simply following through with a HCB motion, and the final [9] would register the jump. Prolly hard to do on reaction but if mastered it would make an amazing AA.
  13. hey guys, im just picking up this game and finished reading thru the thread. Tons of really helpful info. I have access to the cab so i'll be posting and helping as much as I can once I start focusing more on this game. I do have some quesitons though, has anyone catalogued all the changes to Ragna's movelist once Blood Kain is initiated? aside from Hell Fang followup Tsuika causes wallbounce, changes to Drive attacks, etc. just to confirm, after a successful 3C or 2D, you can combo into Hell Fang, i.e. 2D C HF - and then combo into 5A 5B 5C? and has anyone made a gatling chart? cheers edit: i think he meant Jump Cancel - jump C

  15. actually I have another question, is there a limit to how many jump installs u can store before you go into the air and then use them all or is it just 1?
  16. hey guys, Im new here, great forum, you guy are really passionate about GG. Neway, here's my silly newb question: can someone clarify what exactly a clean hit is as opposed to a not so clean hit? I saw this used in a lot of discussions about Sol's Grand Viper and Sidewinder, and I looked through the FAQ and encyclopedia and I didnt see any explanation at all. Its idiotic I know, and I have a fairly good idea what it means but I just want to confirm. Thx.
