  1. tl;dr I'm salty and want to legit get better Before I say anything else, I'm going to say to treat me as someone who has never touched any other FGs other than maybe a week of Persona 4 Ultimax, and 2 hours of UNIEL, and another week of DBFC. I play Labrys and know how to do a meterless and a single red axe combo (both with and without super), but I have a terrible neutral game (no orb pressure, no frame traps, etc). In UNIEL, I picked up Eltnum because I may have sat in MBAACC training mode for an hour with H-Sion. I shuffled around Shana, Taiga, and Selvaria in DBFC. I know one combo for each character that can be ended with a super, both using no assists. Anyways, I just picked up GGXrd on Steam, but before that, I've played... let's say, 12 hours of Xrd across 5 months (I only got to play when our locals had them every 2 weeks since I didn't have a PS3/PS4), and picked up uhhh 3 hours of May and the rest of Elphelt. I want to stick with Elphelt, but watching a lot of videos pretty much told me "Hey she's just like Flame Iori. Way too many tools for a new player to shuffle around with." Granted, I stuck with EX Kyo (and know no other character), but I play FG characters firstly because of how they look, and secondly because of how they play. As a new player, do you think someone should actually pick up an easier character that teaches strong fundamentals over what they like? What's your reasoning? P.S. I am looking to play Dizzy (for sure), Jam, and Jack-O (not so sure on both) when Revelator comes out. Unsure if any of them would be any easier than Elphelt
