I rented WWE All Stars today. It's due back Saturday. I'm gonna try try try to make it out to tech on Friday so we can play this game. XD

What about the situations that lead to that initial poke? What are players doing to get into position for that particular poke? Was it a solid setup that is easily recreated? Was it super situational? Did it require an assist or was it just the point character with a good mixup? How are players reacting when they see the opponent trying for certain setups? What are players doing to punish those reactions? I don't have the patience for sitting in training mode all day grinding out tight combos. Most of what I learn is from playing and watching actual matches. When I do use training mode it's usually to figure out how to punish things I've seen. If I don't have anything in mind to punish I might try and improve general execution, but it's typically not my main objective. -- tl;dr: I'm not so interested in doing super flashy training mode combos as I am interested in consistently landing the first poke into something solid and reliable. When I feel I've reached a level where I can do this with moderate success, then I'll worry about improving my execution to do better combos.

The only matches I've seen with them their Dantes haven't done anything except die immediately. Keep in mind I'm not looking for just videos of training mode combos. I'm looking for match vids with Dante going to work. Well, this was going to be a team of NEW people, since the only characters I really play are: Magneto, Wesker, Hsien-Ko, Captain America, and Deadpool. I'm not dropping my Magneto team, I just want to try a new team and have it focus more on zoning than rushdown. Edit: I was considering doom too. Plasma beam does some obscene chip.

Brainstorming a new team... Trying to build around Chris, just wondering who to support him with. Thinking about Dante for Jam Session, and someone with a projectile assist with either good chip or good coverage. (Perhaps Arthur?) Thoughts?

I could seriously use a human opponent this week. I know all this time in training mode without any practical matches is going to kill me if I don't get some real games in.

Experimenting with Hsien-ko on my team, replacing deadpool. Hyper armor Senpu-bu assist is a bigger asset to my team than deadpool's up guns lockdown. Still messing around with that third spot, but I figure Wesker and Magneto are set on my team at this point.
