  1. Unless they plan on making more BLAZBLUE games or a spinoff game staring Mai, I can't imagine them making another manga with her as the protagonist. At best she might make a cameo in some light novel, but that will probably be it. You have to remember that these manga were created as advertizing for the games... that is why the stories are so short and instead of giving us plot development they cram into as many cameos and references as possible, the sprinkles it with a lot of battles and fanservice. It is sad really seeing as how there is actually enough material to create a "proper manga" from Mai's storyline alone. That said, the ending really doesn't match up with what we were shown in Central Fiction. We found out from Mai's friends that she had just disappeared and it was hinted at having taken place before she graduated. But with Mai returning to the academy it really doesn't add up that she would just leave her friends without giving them a proper goodbye. Granted maybe she decided against becoming a NOL soldier because Kajun influenced her or because of what she had seen... but that doesn't make much sense as she could as easily have chosen to work for her father or Kagura. Especially seeing as how she still had a crush on Taro in Central Fiction it seems really odd that she didn't decide to try and work with him instead. Only real possibility would be if Kokonoe kidnapped her and "convinced" her that it would be better for her to be her secretary... but why would Kokonoe do that? Only thing Mai seem to do for the professor is to occasionally make her coffee and she doesn't even seem very good at even that. So keeping Mai close so that nobody will steal her? Close so that she can keep her under observation? Fine...but that would hardly be necessary as Kokonoe hasn't really cared enough to do that with other people. She have only taken them in and forced them to be her pawns and soldiers if she could actually use them... but she was never shown to really care about what Mai did or didn't do. So the ending was just bad even if it was visually beautiful.
  2. No, there is no proof of this being true. We still don't know if it is Bell's body, or if Bell is Luna's soul in a different body. Rather, don't you think Mai would be more depressed if the little girl she knew had just been used as spare parts for some other people? Having a crush on somebody and being in love with them doesn't mean that you are in a relationship. So while the two can indeed be shipped, it is doubtful that it happened in VH. Why give up on the ship? While it is true that the focus was never on the relationship, does that really matter? Her feelings for him seemed to be genuine and he seemed to return them, more so in VH where he has been shown to really worry about her. How is that a problem? It means more content and more pages! Yes, and that was pretty awful. Even in a normal manga having the final boss fight only span 2-3 chapter is pretty weak... but in a manga based on a fighting game? If anything shouldn't the fights be even longer and more spectacular? Knowing Ragna it could be that he is just comparing Fuzzy to Rachel. Any vampire he met would be compared to her. Wow. That's awful then. Could you write Sumeragi on her twitter and tell her about the mistake and that it wasn't fixed in the actual takoboun?
  3. I don't speak Japanese so I can't say for sure but the text for that page hasn't changed at all in the takoubon. So if it was an error in the actual script, nobody noticed the mistake and it was reproduced in the actual volume. So my money is on that it was a translation mistake.
  4. This isn't necessarily an error as sadly the word guy has started becoming used when referring to womenfolk as well.
  5. No, I have already accidentally spoiled all the story for myself. I know what happens in the games, I'm just a bit unclear on some of the exact details like who fights who and how some of the storymode systems play out. I still say the change was a turn for the worse. I'm one of those people that think that more stuff = better. I'm not asking for quantity over quality, but allowing each character their own branch and storymode playthrough was in my opinion better for the game in the long run. Arcade more sure, but making me play as characters I otherwise didn't feel like playing was part of the storymodes charm. I had to play them if I wanted the entire story.
  6. Bigger yes, but the quality might me lower. The smaller version is in PNG, larger one in JPEG. In this case however both versions are of pretty low quality. The JPEG one is riddled with heavy JPEG artifacts, but the PNG version is blurry as hell. Hopefully the volume cover will have a scan that is a lot better, that or somebody will find a better quality version of this image later.
  7. I see. The last game in the blazblue series I played was Continuum Shift Extend. In that game each character had their own storymode that you could play and finish in order to open the true storymode ending. That's sound a bit depressing though, characters that don't even get to play as in storymode. You said Mai was in storymode though, are you able to fight her in storymode or does she just have a cg event?
  8. How can you tell? She doesn't get released until the 28th. Her involvement in other characters storymodes might be short, but since a storymode focus on the characters themselves shouldn't' her storymode show her story?
  9. No, it is either a translation error or an error by the Japanese typesetter. The previous page tells us that Mai transformed into a girl and continued on the second page where it explained that it made her into a grimoire and made her lose her supertaste. But we know this is false as Mai was shown to have her supertaste when she was a girl. Maybe it was a reference to Mai losing her intermediate grimoire ability? Or maybe it was supposed to say that she lost her normal taste and it was replaced by her supertaste. Until the takoboun is released we can't say for sure.
  10. The comment about Mai having lost her supertaste is most likely a translation error.
  11. The difference isn't that big, Aside from the mark being slightly lower the cowbells are almost exact duplicates.
  12. No, Trinity's soul was shoved into the weapon that Platinum is using. I don't remember anything about Platinum being created by Trinity.
  13. Well yes, there is as I see it a 99% chance that the girl we just saw in the manga is Platinum. That said, those this mean that Platinum (the body) is actually another Saya clone? Somehow that wouldn't surprise me.
  14. That is the opposite of what we learned Remix heart. Mai gained an ability to copy stuff from such as Noel's cooking and then give it to Tarou etc, but that ability was lost. At the end of Remix Heart the group comments and mention that Mai still has her super taste problem. So maybe Zedar translated it wrong.
  15. Now this is rather interesting. At the start of Remix Heart and throughout, Mai was always depicted as very tall girl compared to the other students, but it seems that stayed pretty much the same height while her friends caught up to her a bit. Her weight though does suggest she has a heavier build than say Makoto, the other girl weighting 2kg less despite being slightly taller. Then we have slender Tsubaki at 49cm... but Noel is the bigger surprise, being only 157cm tall she still weighs almost as much as the other girls despite having such a flat chest. Actually, Mai's supertaste evolved in Remix Heart, but then went back to how it was in the beginning at the end of the manga. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what they were referring too.
