  1. I don't mind. Anything to help my practice partners works. (There are few good players here in the summer, so it is pretty hard to get good practice in if the people I normally play with don't get better). Though we noticed that I usually start my instant kill activations when my opponent is in the air, and instant kill as they are getting up off the ground. At this point my friends usually just put down the controller and give me dirty looks. As far a I know, mashing doesn't work until you hit the ground. In this situation, they have about the time it takes for the instant kill to start, until it hits to mash out. As I usually don't get into the situation of being dizzied in the air, can you begin mashing/wiggling even before you land on the ground to avoid being destroyed?
  2. Sorry for not heading the the Jam sub first. Figured I'd post here as I felt the question had a bit more to deal with mashing out of dizzies, but I realize now I could have worded it quite a bit better. Most players around here us D-Pads, and seem fairly unsuccessful at mashing out. I personally use a stick, and it seems I can mash out of characters with slower instant kill activations, but I feel that I do not mash out fast enough for characters like Eddie, Ky, and Jam. While it is enjoyable to score instant kills against people here on a regular basis, I would like to discover how to properly mash out on a D-Pad and stick so that I can inform my practice partners about it. Would anyone have any advice on mashing with the D-Pad? Or just proper wiggle/mashing in general. Thanks again for any help.
  3. Hola. I've tried looking about, but I've been unsuccessful to finding an answer. (I'm a blind idiot when it comes to searching through treads.) After scoring a dizzy on a character with Jam, is it possible for the opponent to mash out of the dizzy, before Jam can go into instant kill mode and score the instant kill? I ask because to my knowledge, Jam has one of the fastest instant kill entry times, and I usually get the instant kill on dizzied people here locally. However I have seen some people mash out of dizzies pretty fast, and was wondering if I should break my habit of dropping everything I do the moment I see a dizzy and going for the instant kill. Thanks in advance if anyone has the insight.

    Jam Vs Sol

    With Sol's weird weight, I find the only real reliable loop is dash in 2HS (2 hits) -> 6HS -> HS (Might have to delay the HS hit), into dash in 2HS (2 hits) -> 6HS -> HS into dash in 2K or 5K -> 2HS -> finish loop. With Order Sol I can use standard loops (5S and 2S varients), but with Sol I have to use the specific loop.
  5. My friend uses Ky as his main, and I tend to have the most trouble fighting him, (he's played against me so much, he knows all my combos like the back of his hand, and does a great job blocking me). Main things I go for, 1. Watch for stun edges and punish with puffball. Tends to lead to a half health combo. 2. Stun dippers are ridicously easy to parry. If the Ky sends one out and hasn't comboed you into it, you can block or even get hit by the first hit (part where Ky slides forward), and parry the sword slash followup. The parry leads to a nice s -> hs (3 hits) -> qcf s + k -> ryujin (carded) -> qcf s + d a few times -> qcf s + hs -> one corner loop iteration. I usually net a dizzy into instant kill in this situation. Also greed saber is pretty easy to parry as well, and it leads to into air to corner loop situation. 3. Most Ky players I know enjoy the air, which gets high damage anti air combos. 4. Becareful using puffballs, stun dippers beat them like crazy.
  6. I think I have a bit of a weird approach to TK. I use a non-modified HRAP 2, so I am forced to constantly listen to my joystick clicking, which sort of helps me TK in a way. I sort of seem to count 1() - 2() - 3() - 4() in my head as I hear the clicks, and as I count the 4, I press the input. For low TKs I input about the moment I hear the click and start counting 4 to about halfway for the click (cli - press - ck, fo - press - ur.) Now, even when I attempt TK on a dualshock, I still seem to mentally hear the clicking whenever I do TKs. It's stuff like this that keeps me up at night. .___. On a side note, I can TK Youzansen when I am on the left side, but cannot on the right side of the screen. It makes me die a little inside.
  7. Reload - HS. Because blue haired people are totally normal. Right?
  8. Both options are about the same, though close up you can get some extra damage in, though maybe not too significant. Though that is from my personal experience. I usually tend to get in both situations in my matches and if I perform my combos properly the results are about the same in both. Up close you will have to do things differently than if you were far away.
  9. Thank you very much. More videos to watch while I wait for next class. o,..,o;;;
  10. Option 1) Find a brainwashing device, get a girlfriend or your current girlfriend or wife or fiance, (Japanese if you so choose), strap brainwashing device to her, and force her to learn Jam. Option 2) Force a good Japanese player to get a sex change? Option 3) Invest in rapid growth cloning, and clone some J Idol and train her personally. (Because the world totally needs Hirano Aya clones running around and corner looping people with Jam, right?) ------ But yeah, to be semi on topic, I've sort of an ongoing collection of videos and I'm trying to find videos of certain things within the videos. Currently I'm looking for vids of IAD Kenroukaku shenanigans in match videos, like from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RT4Tg8oHPIk&feature=related @ 36 seconds Anyone remember any fun to watch matches that had much use of IAD Kenroukaku and combo from it?
  11. I'd probably assume he/she/it is a male, but yep. I mainly like some of the long aerial stuff he/she/it does, that I don't see as much in other players, even if they aren't exactly effective.
  12. I've a question about Pan Shokunin. I like his/her Jam, but most people never mention him/her. Out of curiosity, does he/she go by another name? Some vids on Youtube of him/her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU0FdtfRO1s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_pumJD--WQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsfYj8M7Z1U Thanks in advance.
  13. For puffball after 5HS I input 236+S after the second hit of 5HS and press dust as or after the third hit lands. If I try inputting 236+S->D as or after third hit it usually doesn't work for me.
