That's definitely the INTENTION, but I'm just wondering how far they can extrapolate this (i.e. if the "Lucy Clause" will be used to justify future crossovers going forward or if they're just gonna keep introducing one-offs like this). With all the ArcSys Expanded Universe business in D&B / BBEEX I'm kinda primed to wonder what is and isn't establishing future stuff atp.

How did the Lucy stuff work, anyway? Her arcade mode depicts her hooking herself up to her Netrunner interface, then… having the Netrunner mental image get sucked into Strive somehow? If she can access the “computer” of the Backyard by Netrunning, does that imply you can access it through any computer interface in any universe? Does someone just have the entire ArcSys Expanded Universe sitting on a flash drive somewhere in Night City? Is it a special Netrunner thing or can just anybody accidentally fall into GGST while checking their email?

This actually made something click for me - it kinda is an fg story. This shit is just Overture again! But with way more guys standing around doing nothing! And no Raven! Raven's like the only good part of Overture! What gives! With DR in mind I kinda wonder how Strive's new battle pass story mode content will pan out. Strive's original main story was honestly pretty competent aside from Jack-O' having digivolved into a completely different character offscreen, then the extra story with Ramlethal was really boring, then DR was really boring. Dunno where the energy for main story went. I hope they bring it back, but from the clips we saw in the trailer it seems like the battle pass content might just be pairs of characters getting coffee and such.

Melty Blood also doesn't have a good story at all. Tsukihime has a good story but Melty Blood's attempt to iterate on it is pretty terrible. The only new characters are Sion (reheated nachos of every Tsukihime heroine combined with no real personality), Riesbyfe (exists solely to give Sion someone to talk to, since very few characters have a reason to give a shit about her), and Warachia (genuine nothing character). Melty Blood 1's story is so ass that, after Nasu looked back at it and realized the garbage he created, everyone just sorta gave up and agreed to stop trying to give Melty a story. Every future game just gag reels.

Show wasn't very good, I'm sorry. Felt incredibly weak in terms of story and like most of the runtime was an assortment of characters I already like aura farming. Unika might be one of the most boring characters I've ever seen be given a four-hour animated series all about her. The action choreography was kinda all over the place and at times felt really badly boarded. The show was pretty except when it suddenly wasn't. They do the Gear racism stuff again and I can't help but feel like Daisuke has nothing left to say about it, which makes me wonder why that's Nergal's entire deal. Daisuke's been trying to make Sin the new main guy since Overture released a little under 20 years ago and it's just not working, man. He's not that guy. Making the new character Bridget's girlfriend was a genius marketing push, though.

I think a lot of people sleep on the HORI RAP-Mini in terms of controllers. It's kind of a godsend. As someone who both has big hands that make using the dpad on a controller pretty cumbersome and who also has to travel a lot (can't pack a gigantic setup), the RAPM is basically unmatched. It has a really nice stick, it's compact, it's like $60, and it's way better quality than anything you're getting for cheaper. Really durable, too. I've seen air traffic controllers chuck the bag it's in full-force like 10 feet and at the end of the trip the thing didn't even have a dent in it.

Would it be possible to change the buttons handling in-message text editing to be a lighter shade of grey in dark mode? Some of these are really difficult to parse rn (and the eye icon for the spoiler button is completely invisible unless you hover over it).

I got hit by 2S into card Ryuujin in neutral round 3 and died immediately, then stared at my screen wondering where it all went wrong for at least two minutes. So I think she's basically the same as always.

I've seen so many people say their main is top 5 now. There's no way 25 characters can all be top 5. I guess I'm happy everyone believes in themselves.

I think we should take this opportunity to give it a funny quirky name like "goomba" or something. Back in the Injustice 2 days, everyone called Darkseid's really good air normal "boot stomp." I have no idea what the input for that move even is. Even during combo notation they'd be like 1 2 3 etc etc etc into BOOT STOMP. I think we as a fighting game community need more Boot Stomps.
