It's been almost two and a half years since Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising released, and yet there hasn't been any public discussion (that I've seen) about the most integral part of the game. Not 66L's conclusion. Not the ever present threat of Eskeoof and their Nier dealings. Not even EX Djeeta and CyGames constant desire to see her be worse than garbage. We're talking the BEST Lobby Avatars. Choosing a Lobby Avatar is not a simple decision. They reflect an aspect of a person's whole identity. Are you someone who chooses the Yuel avatar because you play Yuel (boring) or are you someone who dropped a whole 10 bones for the Umamusume Lobby Avatars so you could rep your favourite horse girl, no matter the cost? Below are my three favourite Lobby Avatars. The undisputed kings/queens of the Lobby Avatar screen.
3RD: Gran (Casual Wear)
This is Gran. Gran likes Granblue. He likes to run around in a basic ass white shirt and blue shorts. And much like his clothes, he is basic. But that's what makes him unique. In a game of 39 characters with more on the horizon, with many more avatars than that to pick from, Gran (Casual Wear) stands out. There's an innate humour to seeing him running around the lobby in his white tee. And if he engages with the lobby chat, you just know he probably got something to say too. He's undeniably a high tier Lobby Avatar.
2ND: Nier
I'm scared by this avatar. I once loaded into a lobby and there were about twenty Niers, knives out, surrounding a Katalina. They act like a hivemind, all joining the lobby at once, moving in unison and picking off their prey. I don't think I ever saw that Katalina again, but the total Niers grew to twenty-one that night. I think her animations are funny and I think the antics the players get up to place the avatar highly on my list. Absoutely top tier avatar.
1ST: Cagliostro
The kind of avatar you see and can't help screaming, "(｡･ ω<)ゞ Thaaaaaaat's alchemy!". The undisputed goat of the OG Granblue Versus, she continues her reign throughout Versus Rising as well. Not only is she the cutest alchemist to bless this game with her prescence, but she also has the single best Unique Animation emote of all characters. She turns into a sled and speeds around the lobby at the highest speed imaginable. If you wanna cut down your personal time from spawn to arcade machine in the lobby, she's your gal. Better yet, if you stop for even a moment, people will come over and sit inside the Cagliosled. That's just goes to show how much people love her. She has a certain presence about her that people flock towards, but that's just a natural part of being the cutest gal in all the skydom. The undisputed queen of lobby avatars and I will have no one correct me. I am factually correct.
