If you actually do want to go for it in the corner, your best bet is to do a j.C and catch them while falling. They'll probably be mashing to recover, so you'll get a free throw reject. Again, still fairly useless. -

If you're going to do that you can do it on anyone, anywhere for pretty much the same amount of damage. 5A 5B 2B 2C JC j.236C, land, 5D JC j.B j.B j.623C should do about the same amount of damage and works anywhere, on anyone. Of course I only ever use it on scrubs cause they don't know how to tech. -

If the only mixup is low/throw/command throw, you're in luck. What you need to be wary of is Bangs that know the bumper mixup, because then the mixup looks something like low/crossup low/high/crossup high/throw and it's impossible to react because he moves into it so fast. Fortunately, Jin is one of the two characters that is "immune" to the bumper mixup (the other being Ragna) since he has that obscenely good full-invul reversal with a crossup hitbox (623C/D). In that situation your only problem is not being baited on the wakeup. All in all, Bang is a very, very good matchup for Jin, mostly because Jin is almost immune to mixups thanks to his stupidly fast normals, crapton of defensive and reversal options, and a skinny, kinda short hitbox.

Double fire punch combo = 2B > 623B > d.2B > 623B? Does that work off the 5B 2B 623B, d.5B j.B j.623B variation? -
You could just block it and punish, j.D is hella unsafe on block.

The ONLY moves Bang has on the ground capable of hitting Tao are 2A, 2B, and 2C. Nothing else will even make contact, much less beat out 2A. Hell, 2D goes OVER crouchwalk. Add to that the fact that her super-fast attacks pretty much completely negate his guardpoints other than 2D (which is alternately negated by the fact that she has so many low moves, and 2D doesn't guardpoint low), and it's a pretty skewed matchup.

Does anyone know if there are any good bumper setups that don't involve D nail? I'd like to go for it on knockdown without it costing a full third of my nail supply. I think the one I see most people telling me to do is whatever > 2C > B bumper > d.2A 5B JC j.C > D nail > bumper mixup. Usually I do whatever > 6D > 2147B, dash in > jump into bumper > mixup, but it's a little bit too slow and you can sideroll or reversal out if you're fast enough with it. Whatever > 6D > delayed TK C bumper > jump into bumper > left/right crossup > airdash chase if they roll works too, but then it's only a 50/50 if they neutral recover and only goes into blockstring if they sideroll. Any ideas? -
I'm not saying it isn't, I'm just saying it's not the best idea to rely on it as a blockstring because it's easy to react to the B sledge with a reversal whenever you see it. Anything > B Sledge is my reversal cue, I don't think he has anything that can make B sledge safe on startup.

5D > B Sledge is really easy to react to. As a Bang player, I usually just Daifunka or guardpoint the B Sledge, since there are a few frames between the 5D and the Sledge even if you don't IB. Any character can easily reversal out on reaction.

You want B icecar not only be safe on block, but actually + enough that you can blockstring out of it? Might as well have B icecar be invulnerable while you're at it.

Actually, for pretty much any guardpoint, if you guardpoint a normal or any low-recovery special (like icecar), most characters can just stop and block without having to do anything special; no RCs or anything.

I would actually think it would just be whatever comes out first, the command throw or the regular throw. I guess if they both hit on the exact same frame the regular throw would probably win, though.

I usually either do an empty jump oki and command throw, or do a pressure string then do 5A/2A into 623C. -

Made a thread about this but I guess for whatever reason mods want it in here. Anyway, how are people doing IAD nailglide? I'm trying to do 2B > JC > IAD nailglide so I can land in front of them and continue my pressure string, but for the life of me I cannot get 96236A out fast enough to throw the nail before I go over. You can also do 5A 5B 2B 2C 2369C, land, 5D JC j.B JC j.B j.623C for even more damage if they're asleep or just flat out slow (or if you're online), although it's probably better to just finish with an A nail or spike with j.C and do some sort of oki. -

Does that actually combo? I'll have to try that, LK tells me your Bang mixup is god tier. I've been trying to work bumper mixup into my game for a while now but I can't figure out any way to get the bumper where I want it mid-combo, only as oki and a side roll immediately messes that up.

Just out of curiosity, what the best combo options on Litchi when she's crouching? The Litchis I fight always seem to be crouching, and 5A and 5B both seem to whiff on her crouching, which leaves me with 2A and lots of proration.
