  1. CS isn't that horribly imbalanced. In terms of matchups it's definitely much better than both CT and SSF4. The reason you see so many Litchis/Bangs/Ragnas in tournaments is because holy shit people want to win so they pick the best character. If Rachel/Nu/Arakune weren't in CT, everyone would just have played Jin instead, since he's basically 6/4 across the board. In fact, CS top tier is basically just three different CT Jins, insofar as the reason they are all top tier is because: 1) They deal more damage than average overall (5k meterless for Litchi, 4k meterless for Ragna, and 3-5k meterless for Bang depending on seals/FRKZ). Those three typically also have really good meter gain and can super pretty much whenever they want to (especially Litchi). 2) Their pokes are way too good, either in terms of priority, speed, utility, or damage. Bang gets 3k off 5A and Ragna gets 4k off 5B. Compare that to Hazama (who is A tier) who only gets like 2k off 5A and 3k off 5B. 3) They just have some sort of annoying BS. Litchi is self-explanatory, and Ragna's oki game ending in 22C/Berial reset is just too good. On the other hand, Bang has his vastly improved nail game and now he can turn the game into a ridiculous mixupfest with just two combos into FRKZ. You can compare that to the CT top tier, which was just ridiculous zoning shutdown all day, and CS top tier looks a lot more manageable. I'd rather deal with Bang's 5A (where I can at least reach him) rather than spend half the round trying to close in on Nu only to have her push me back out with random D swords.
  2. It's not impossible by any means (hell even Nu vs. Tager was actually only 7/3). Random sledging is still unsafe against Lambda, but her 5D is slower now so she can't just mash out another 5D if you sledge the first and punish you on recovery. The old superjump and chicken block trick works a lot better now as well, since Lambda's AA swords are a lot slower and won't really push you all the way back to the other side of the screen now. In fact, I'd say Hazama and Mu are much worse matchups for Tager now. Maybe Tsubaki too since she basically gets free charge on him whenever she wants.
  3. So you were the Bang/Ragna, I thought you looked familiar. We will play legit rematch next time, hopefully when I am not dropping all of Bang's shit-easy combos. I got better after I got warmed up on Crown's setup, but I don't we had a chance to play after that. I will work on Hazama too, his command throw is best move in game.
  4. That is le suck. Anyone work out a good 4-seal variant on Tager? I know 5B 2B 6C j.D d.2D works, but I've yet to figure out a good followup that nets you any more seals.
  5. Is it just me or does 2D j.D whiff on, like, half the cast? It looks to be super tight/random on Ragna and Noel, etc. Makes going for 4-seal combo on a lot of characters a risky endeavor.
  6. Come to Uprising on Saturday, there will be CS there. Should be fun.
  7. Sounds good. Let me know if you need any help with it.
  8. It really depends on the situation. If you're playing, say, Tager against Hazama, you'll be spending a lot of time and energy just getting close enough to do anything at all to him. Once you do, if it comes down to dealing a couple hundred extra damage and starting over from scratch or sacrificing a bit of damage and staying on top of him, the choice is pretty obvious. Obviously the choice won't be as pronounced with most characters, but generally you want to keep offensive pressure rather than just letting it reset to neutral game.
  9. Not good. I'm going to give them until tomorrow morning, and if no change by then I'm going to cancel. Even that's being pretty generous already considering all the bullshit they've given me over the past week. At the very least, though, I think Crown did really get a copy this time, so I will make him bring his copy to wherever so I can make him free with Bang. You too, of course, you can both be free.
  10. Lol, that isn't true. Jump startup is completely vulnerable. You aren't blocking or anything. Go ahead and try to jump out of Noel's 5B > 5C blockstring (in CT). There's a one-frame gap between the two normals on block, so you'll get caught on startup if you try to jump out. Hits mid too, so you can rule out that possibility.
  11. So BBCS Asian ver. still hasn't shipped yet. If there's no update by like Wednesday, I'm probably going to cancel the order, but in the meantime, Furok doesn't want his copy no more, so I got an extra copy if anyone wants it. It'd be $75.20 for the game + shipping. Let me know ASAP, otherwise I'm probably going to take that extra copy out of the order.
  12. Hey mine did that too. I'm putting my eggs in the RenChi basket for now, hopefully they come through. If I'm paying $85 to get the game early, I better actually get it early.
  13. You know dude if Renchi still has it in stock and actually ships quickly (I'll let you know how that works out) then you might want to just order from them yourself: http://www.renchi.com/renchi/PS3_Games_Asia_BlazBlue_Continuum_Shift_AS.htm It's $85 with fastest shipping so you wouldn't actually be paying all that much more than what we were originally planning. It would also be cool because then more people to play with online.

  14. Okay, so no BBCS ever. Play-Asia dropped the ball and didn't even tell me about it, they're out of stock and we will never get our copes ever never. I are the mad. At any rate, I've canceled my order and am currently looking into getting it elsewhere as soon as possible. Amiami supposedly has ONE copy left and Renchi seems to have it in stock still, so hopefully I will have a copy of my own soon one way or another. In that case though I don't think Furok or Danny will be getting copies, which is a bummer.
  15. BBCS still hasn't shipped for me. I think Crown also said he wasn't going, so no CS at BG tomorrow unless it miraculously arrives at my door tomorrow morning. Enjoy poverty night I guess. Hopefully I'll have it by Saturday for Furok's casuals, and even if I don't Crown said he'd sacrifice his copy.
  16. Rachel has no matchups. She just loses.
  17. Yeah, I'll let you guys know when it ships so you'll know in advance if I'll have it for BG. If I don't say anything by Wednesday or Thursday you can probably assume it won't get here in time. Update: Looks like it's already getting ready to ship. Barring any weird delays it looks like it should definitely get here by Friday, if not earlier. Now the problem is that I need someone to give me a ride, especially if Furok's crew really isn't leaving until early in the morning, cause like hell I'm going to sit around that long. Anyone else from Amherst area willing/able to give me a lift? I'll pay for my share of gas, of course.
  18. What is this I don't even.
  19. If Ragna/Arakune is 3/7, then what would Bang/Arakune be? That entirety of that matchup is "maybe if I run around enough he will get bored and do something stupid," and if you so much as get cursed by a blocked cloud from fullscreen your best bet is honestly to just try to get hit by a D bug so you won't get hit by other stuff as much, because you're not going anywhere anyway. If Arakune has a 7/3 matchup it is definitely against Tager or Bang. Even Hakumen has an easier time of it.
  20. If Danny doesn't bring his PS3, I'll bring mine or make Furok bring his (lol). So let's just assume we'll have at least two setups for BBCS.
  21. She isn't, but might as well give it a shot anyway.
  22. I should have my import copy of BBCS at this time, so if anyone is interested in a BBCS side tourney then I'll bring my copy down. Even if I don't actually show up, Furok and Danny Schme should have copies too, so someone should have the game.
  23. Well, Tao was one of his worst matchups in CT, so it's not really surprising that she would be one of his worst in CS as well. At least then I won't be able to say that Bang's worst matchup is a mirror match, like I did with CT Jin.
  24. It's okay, he'll come back with more stupid nonsense later. I remember him beating this BAW UNSAFE DP shit way back when, ever since it was revealed that Jin wasn't OMG HUEG DAMAGE AND SAFE PRESSURE FROM EVERYTHING anymore in CS. In all seriousness, if you're going to bitch about your formerly top tier character not being top tier anymore, then learn a different top tier. It's not like Bang takes any effort whatever to learn now, he's like Nu and Jin and Arakune all rolled into one scrub package.
