  1. Listening to the full version of Memory of Tears II, my opinion has not changed. It's heavily nerfed from the first version, and hearing the rest of it made me go "What the fuck did they do to this theme?" even more. It sounds like a Golden Sun battle theme, with wild and completely random organ and guitar riffs replacing the well-constructed melodies that gave the song that feeling of two friends forced against each other. The ending is also very lackluster and doesn't fit well with the song at all. Under Heaven Destruction II, on the other hand, is a very well done remix. The speed increase may be a bit iffy, but they still kept the "feel" of the song, while expanding upon it heavily with new sections. In some ways, the new portions make me think of Devil May Cry. Also, the new ending kicks serious ass. I think it just became my new favorite remixed VS. theme.
  2. ALmost forgot to mention that the official ArcFes stream will indeed be streaming the live concert.
  3. Hopefully the Focusfire stream puts up the broadcasts eventually so I can see the footage confirming him as English Azrael.
  4. Still sounds rather unsafe. Also, a quick reminder: May 19th is the ASW Music Live concert at ArcFes/Arc Revo.
  5. Fuck yeah Leon. Now I actually have a reason to get back into this game. All they have to do is re-add Tengu and/or put in character themes and it'll be an instant pre-order should it turn out to be retail. EDIT: HOLY FUCK THEY'RE ADDING CHARACTER BGM BACK http://storage.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/doa5_ult_03.jpg
  6. I like how those arranged versions were done in the style of other tracks (Burly Heart for Holy Orders, and Missing... for Blue Water Blue Sky).
  7. The game did come out several months before the OST, so most likely they just decided to do some additional touch-ups specifically for the OST release for whatever reason.
  8. Both versions of Boss Labrys' theme (The Arena), Aigis, Naoto, and Mitsuru's themes definitely sound the most different of them all when compared to the game versions
  9. Only original songs I liked from P4U's OST are Yosuke, Aigis, Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Boss Labrys themes.
  10. Nobody plays the game anymore due to the current state of the netcode. Once they patch it to +R a resurgence should happen.
  11. Agreed. Many thanks to Chaoschao for broadening the horizons of OST discussion. Moving on, favorite Sol VS. Ky themes, from most favorite to least. 1. Keep the Flag Flying 2. The Re-Coming 3. Conclusion 4. No Mercy 5. Noontide
  12. Axl's theme was incredibly toned down from how it used to be, but now that I think about it they should just make March of the Wicked King his theme again.
  13. So how about the Sega Cup?
  14. Will the PC/Steam release also be next week or do we still have to wait on that?
  15. Each iteration of BB (CT to CS to CP) can be compared to the various Guilty Gear sequels (from 1 to X to XX and all of XX's expansions). Each version has vastly different system mechanics and balancing. CT: First game in the series. Barely anybody plays this anymore unless they're really bored or are on Games for Windows Live. CS: Second game in the series. Adds Tsubaki, Hazama, and Mu-12 at the start, with Makoto, Valkenhayn, and Platinum as DLC characters. Requires you to have the latest patch that contains the DLC files (version 1.03 in this case) to play Ranked Match. Everybody's moved on to Extend though. CS versions 1.00 through 1.02 are based on the original arcade version, with console exclusive characters having their own balancing. Version 1.03, however, is updated to match the balance specifications for Continuum Shift 2. CS2 is widely considered to have the worst balance changes out of all the BlazBlue games, so I'd avoid this if I were you. CS Extend: Extend is an expansion pack for CS, in the same vein as Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus. While it is a full game, it contains the latest balance tweaks for the Arcade version of CS2, which is 1.10. Relius Clover is also added as a playable character. This is the latest console release. CP: Third game in the series. Has 4 new characters in the Arcade version (Amane, Bullet, Azrael, and Izayoi), with 2 more console exclusive characters (Kagura and Terumi) coming in the console release. Short version: Get Extend, it's the one everybody's playing right now.
  16. If it crosses up easily and leads to easy damage if spaced correctly, then yes it will be OP. If it's like Narukami's shitty excuse for a divekick that's only there to look swagger, then Terumi might be worse than Hazama, but only slightly.
  17. All this talk about taunting makes me wish BlazBlue had Respect taunts.
  18. Terumi as Adachi would be fucking godlike. Double the troll pleasure. Also his GG palette will probably be That Man because of the hood. Kagura will easily have Kliff's palette. As for Persona it'll probably be Shinjiro.
  19. Nice, they got the menu right this time.
  20. Depending on how he's fleshed out during story mode, that might not be the case though.
  21. I personally think Liam O'Brien would be a good fit for Kagura. This is a bit of a tough case because Keiji Fujiwara is quite versatile (He not only voiced Ali al-Saachez but also characters like Aizawa from Death Note). Back to story discussion, I am interested in whatever plans Kagura has once the NOL is overthrown.
  22. Entirely up to you. As tantalizing as playing +R is, I will not buy a console simply to play one game on it.
  23. I certainly wouldn't. Hopefully that patch will release the same day the Vita version comes out.
  24. I just realized now that Kagura, with his giant sword and stance system, also reminds me of Siegfried from Soul Calibur. And hearing that he's a charge character too makes me want to try him even more since I main Bison in AE.
  25. So, yeah, looking forward to Shin Level 9001 Evil Omega Orochi Dark Ultimate Gold Unlimited God Hazama With a Shitty Hoodie Instead of a Fedora. Still looking pretty damn stylish, even without keeping it classy.
