Alright, so I finally managed to log in when the servers were up and, surprise surprise, actually got to play a few matches. Here's my initial impressions. -Netcode is fantastic. I was fighting someone who wasn't even from the US with hardly any lag at all. -As I suspected, the gameplay feels like Killer Instinct, or Omega SF4. Everything feels more fluid and it feels like I have total control over my character. -As stated at the EVO panel, there is a lot more focus on fundamentals instead of execution and taking advantage of he game's systems. -Loving the new linking system. No more bullshit 1f links. Everything is at least 2 frames and up. -Also loving how much damage you can do off of basic combos now. Feels like a mix of SF Alpha and SFxT. -I fought against 2 Ryus, a Chun, and another Bison before getting kicked out. In all 4 of those matches, match data was unable to be uploaded to the server, meaning no EXP.

Getting the obvious out of the way, beta so far has been a complete failure. Bad news: beta has been postponed until further notice. Good news: beta period has been extended, and I managed to get in a bit of practice time with Bison.

Hakumen has a new voice filter for Alter Memory. It's just a very slight warble effect. His voice is no longer pitched down and no longer has the Darth Vader reverb. He sounds more like CT-CS Hakumen now. Also, Alexis Tipton sounds pretty good as Platinum. If they end up replacing Laura Bailey she'd be a great choice for a recast.
