  1. These are matches from an event we organized in the end of July. There were players from 4 different states gathered here in São Paulo (which is kinda cool, since the GG scene here in Brazil isn't that big). Some matches are missing because those responsible for recording them decided to disappear, so until they come back and give us the videos, please bear with it. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D0451A18AAE3ABB1 as always, any feedback is welcome
  2. @pimp2303 there's nothing really certain. usually we organize a meeting at someone's house. if we organize it early enough, lots of the usual players are able to organize their schedules and show up. also, since some study/work, the big events are usually held in july and/or in the end of the year. at least that's usually how it goes for sao paulo's players
  3. the essence of Venom's battle strategy in this match-up would be something like pressuring really hard but still keeping slayer at a safe distance
  4. not really. his teleport actually sends him above the first ball he summoned among those that are in the screen (or just above where he is, in case there are no balls summoned). so instead of guessing, you just need to pay attention to the ball position to know what to do
  5. the missiles are kinda extreme: near ground = good, way up high = bad idea suppose a lvl3 missile: if you use it near ground, venom won't have much space to run and will have trouble trying to advance through the air. besides, you can also kill some balls with this. now, if you're way up high and use the missile, unless you can jump or dash, he's gonna run past the missiles (they're still high, so nothing is in his way) and combo you
  6. her 3K also goes under 6H, so be careful when trying to release heat. Air fight against her is hard. Try poking her from a safe distance with j.H, so she won't counter you (probably) and do the whole loop stuff (Robo-Ky still takes A LOT of damage from that). Also, like it was said, punish any 3K that went wrong: I like to punish that with a j.S. Doing it right will result in a counter hit (ground bounce \o/), which can follow in a 5K, 5S JI, j.K, j.S, j.P, j.S, dj.S, j.H, air missile. Also, another good opener is f.S. doing it right cancels the horizontal dolphin attack
  7. honestly, a match against venom is really a pain in the ass. and in here i advise two things: Patience (a lot) and Defense. You can't (or you shouldn't) advance through the air. It doesn't end nicely. Meaning you will have to break through the huge amount of balls that will travel towards you. Besides, Venom can really lock you under his pressure string, meaning you will probably overheat soon enough. Learn which moments you can try to escape so you don't explode. Another useful thing is learning how to efficiently use the delayed getup: it can throw venom's timing off
  8. From what I gathered in matches with my friends, Slayer has to be cautious when under a pressure string. When punishing Dubious Curve, choose a quicker move instead of a PB or something like that because slow moves tend to get hit by the DC and it's unusual for Venom to try a DC loop unless you're in the corner, so a D Step is too risky. The best chance to attack would be while he's summoning balls. A mappa will probably cut the move, but a dash spam works sometimes (who doesn't get terrorized in seeing slayer quickly teleport in your direction?). Another got chance is when he summons a ball in the air. Either when he summons it, or when he jumps to hit it, BBU the bastard. it makes wonders
