  1. Use 214C not 214D that will fix your problem. Also you might be messing up the meaty. I like using 214C+D more, its 3F so people don't expect it.
  2. I don't know anything about that shooting. I thought it was a drug bust.
  3. I am questioning the armor of that move itself because I never had the armor work. Unless its for projectile? I don't think it has armor, it just has the cancel.
  4. Actually I am sure those damage numbers on some combos are wrong. Another thing for some combos 5C>2B is something you have to do. I had 236B whiff because they were too close to get hit. And on some combos j.A>j.B>dj.A>j.B won't work because they aren't high enough. I'll get down to correcting this stuff soon.
  5. You can't backdash out on wake up, its a system mechanic. 5A>2A works at hitting people trying to jump out too.
  6. Wow that's down the street from 50/50 he lives on plymouth and schaefer. I live on Evergreen and plymouth.

  9. Before I start I want to say this: I named this thread purposely to because I know I will see a lot of week 1 play. I love you guys so I am not mad. First off you didn't really do anything to keep yourself at risk. You didn't check the Lab for the jumping when you had meter, you didn't punish R action with 5C. You ate unnecessary hits and worse you wasted all your meter on a failed instant kill. I know it's week one but if your going in on this game then learn some basic combos.
  10. Don't use 5C or 2C he is way too fast, instead use 5B or just scout him with j.B, don't even use lightning unless he's off the ground and commiting. Air dashing towards you is not commiting. I consider him to be like Tao, just hit him and lock him down. J.C works against his 2B occasionally which is a shame because if you jump and he's below you he gets a free hit. His R action beats throws too, you can delay 214D to eat it and you can also use 236B~214B to catch him since it's unblockable. I am still trying to work out kinks for this match. Local yosuke showed me I have to play the ground game because the air game is really bad. Ground game is bad too since persona can give panic.

  12. No videos yet, we could have recorded but we didn't, I also don't play ranked. I play player rooms on occasion but Kanji mirrors are zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
  13. 1. Learn combos, go into the combo thread and hit practice mode...really hard. You didn't bait teddy'ys R-action. Never R-action teddy's ever never ever, you lose health and you don't get a punish, worse if he didn't press buttons you lose. Don't use j.214A/B the way you do, you either use it to get away or to surprise jump someone, never to herpaderp unless it's EX. Next up you never punished his wake up mash with command grab. Did you even do challenge mode?

  15. Ok guys some interesting things. Jump start up is 3F but you can't block 5F's when your in the air. The game doesn't allow backdashes on wake up, the game will not allow it until 5F's after you fully recover from knockdown. Kanji's normals are active, abuse it. J.C is a really good air to ground so abuse it. 5C and 2C are decent spacing tools learn when to do this and you will be great. His 5B is fantastic and on CH puts the opponent in a spinning state, also combos into 2B on CH so go ham. I forgot CH 5B combos into command grabs too. Go in all out. Also I still have that guide for Kanji's the jp wiki did if you want to translate it just let me know and I'll post the link.

  18. So about those Tager changes. Tager has a new Air normal, his AC fling from 3C sucks, and he has a diagonal spark bolt. His green outfit is kinky too. Discuss.

  21. Yeah I meant j.214A/B. I haven't found any benefits outside of being further away so things take longer to get to you.
  22. Hmm damage before the combo? I never considered that. His D's are good for keeping them still but that's it. Also basic oki: 214C/D>step back 5D j.214C/D>5D Um there is other stuff you can do to make wake up for them feel uncomfortable. I haven't worked out my Kanji's kinks yet so I won't mention anything else.
  23. So guys I have went to the jp wiki and found a Kanji guide for new people, I have been trying to get it translated but it's a lot of stuff plus google translate sucks. Anyone wanna try to translate it so I can edit stuff and pack it into a pdf with those combos I mentioned? Also I am gonna change the combo thread format because I don't like it.
