Haha, oh wow. This thread was enough to finally convince me to join up with this forum. I love the Guilty Gear series dearly, and I love the characters even more, so finding out more about their individual personalities, quirks, circumstances, all that's really interesting to me. Problem is, though, I lack the ability to obtain all this information or even understand it if I could, since it's pretty much all Japan-exclusive (unless those drama CDs and manga are being translated these days, which I'm pretty sure won't happen). I really wish the series was popular enough outside of Japan to get them to translate all that stuff and share it with the rest of the world, but I know it won't happen, so I have to rely on you guys for maybe 70-80% of the information regarding it all.
This thread's been a big help toward enlightening me about all my favorite characters, and I'm glad you all went to all the trouble. It's a real shame we don't get these extras, or else we wouldn't have all the confusion that seems utterly rampant with the series (IE; bad fanfiction, inaccurate fanart, wild conspiracy theories about false rumors, etc). People like me are lucky there's people like you to sift through all the baseless rumors to find the truth. Good job, folks.
That said, I have some notes to compare with you all from what I've gathered, things I want to check the validity of, to see whether I'm just making things up and letting my imagination get away from me. I really do apologize if I'm repeating something that's already been said- 83 pages is a lot to read, you understand- so I'll be brief about it.
First off, and again, this is ONLY SPECULATION, or in other words, lies and slander until I can get a verdict on it from the experts, but I'd been wondering about the possibility of something regarding Faust. See, Faust was set up to think himself responsible for the death of a young girl, whose death set off his descent into becoming Dr. Baldhead. Now, what I've been wondering about involves May, who, for no apparent reason whatsoever, is terrified of bald people. You may see where I'm going with this by now. Being the irresponsible hack that I am, I haven't read up enough on Johnny/May's past to know how Johnny came across the girl in the first place, but what I want to know is if it's possible that the girl that Faust "killed" those years ago was actually May? The more I type this the more I doubt it, because Faust is a brilliant doctor and he should easily know whether the girl was dead or not, but, then again, he didn't realize that it wasn't his fault that she died, so...
If nothing else, I suppose it's possible May was just an orphan whose parents were victims of Baldhead's, or something like that. Their pasts are likely tied together somehow or another, but I don't know how.
Keep in mind I haven't got access to all this brilliant bonus material that would probably clear this all up, so I'm asking you if you have any opinions or actual FACTS regarding the backgrounds for these two. I'm really curious to see if I'm just blowing smoke or if there's any basis to any of this. And I typed waaaaaaaay too much for all this crap. Sorry about that.
