  1. Has anyone tried to figure out the lyrics for Sky Should be High yet? So far I've got the following: I just tried to take the PATH That led me to be free and healthy in this mind(bind?) The PATH is why this ????(I keep hearing "golem" here) FEELS his bloody lip, doubt(?) the words of the tale(?) Fade away Fadin' away like voices on the shoreline While they try to bleed me out Sky should be high Backblow! This is important to me personally because I'm a dork that likes to sing along in the car.
  2. this is probably a retarded question, but is there any way to avoid or counter rachel's astral if she uses it standing right next to you? edit: upon closer inspection it appears that you can block it with a properly timed burst or mtw, but i'm guessing if you don't have either of those options available you're screwed.
  3. Your video vs. Toasty Cheese made me dig out some replays I'd saved a while back. Entertaining things always seem to happen when I fight him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UqXjAQfyXg Also, a match that I saved of myself vs. BlueGarbage. Comments and criticism are appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIUysBLeEmE
  4. for some reason toasty cheese never uses clap loop. dunno if it's because he refuses to, but i don't really think it's because he can't.
  5. I haven't even played CS yet and I already totally agree with this sentiment. I won't fight a lot of Nu's online anymore because even if I stand a chance of winning, I know I'm going to spend the entire match playing cat and mouse, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.
  6. I've grown to love Tager dittos in CT, but this looks absolutely painful. O_o
  7. Although if they stop using it as an escape route when I've got them backed into a corner, then what else can she do to get away from me? I've been doing really well with this lately, although I also haven't gotten to match any of the better Nu's on XBL recently either. Pretty much I keep working my way forward across the screen. If they command dash, I 360 them in the face. If they try to jump out of the corner, I AC. I'm sure it's not this simple at all and I just haven't played anyone worth playing since I learned this trick.
  8. there's not a whole lot to it, you can do it on reaction. there's a little bit of timing involved, since if you do it too early you'll 360 facing forward when she pops up behind you. if they get predictable with it then you can IB 720, but i've never been able to pull that off.
  9. this matchup became so much more fun when i learned to grab act pulsar with 360s i actually feel like i can do something
  10. I'm of the opinion that the ability of a player to do well in Tager mirrors has very little correlation to how well they do against the rest of the cast.
  11. I'm probably doing it wrong, but every time I try to air throw Bang, I just end up getting kicked in the face.
  12. The only thing I seem to be able to do against a really good Bang player is to be extremely patient and try to stay alive until he runs out of nails, at which point his pressure against me becomes somewhat less of a problem. I also generally try to stop his aerial advances with j.C or j.D, but it doesn't always work. Something I REALLY need to stop doing is j.2C, because he'll counter with a drive on reaction every single time. Once he's out of nails and I've got him magnetized, that's usually when I'm in my best position to try to make a comeback.
  13. Has anyone here ever grabbed a Nu out of Act Pulsar with a 720? I'd get such a hard on from just watching that happen.
  14. Anyone have pointers on dealing with the shield cloud or overhead cloud? For the shield cloud, a lot of Arakunes will try to teleport behind me. At this point it seems that I can immediately either sledge or v.charge to avoid getting cursed, but sledge gets punished with j.2a unless blocked, and v.charge gets punished by 2c. Either way I have to eat damage to avoid getting cursed. Is there a better way out of this? For the overhead cloud, I'm locked out of using collider or 2c, and they seem free to spam j.2a and j.2d on me all day long. Trying to sledge or 2d out from underneath it has generally proven unsafe. Can Arakune's j.2a be punished with a backdash in any fashion? Otherwise it seems I just get to wait until I've got enough heat to spinny super a j.2a (provided they're dumb enough to keep spamming it on me) unless I want to eat a curse.
  15. This seems like as good a thread as any to ask in, but how big of an effect does latency have on your ability to block high/low in rapid succession? Even when gameplay seems smooth in an online match, I seem to have a lot of trouble against, say, Noel's little gun twirly overhead followed by a sweep. I know the sweep is coming after the overhead so I switch to blocking low, and I can visibly SEE Tager blocking low, but it seems like I usually still get hit anyway.
