yooo Toasty, was watching these badass new TRF HnK matches and I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwxP_TMaZUw#t=17m5s first time I've seen ken do air FKO in a real match.. decided to try to figure it out and it turns out it's pretty easy to do. in the corner, do ken's 623C and right after the 3rd hit input 236S~C+D. It looks really funny when you try to do it midscreen, he flys way the hell past them lol

err softbanned just means it's discouraged to use that char, but there's no actual rules against picking them :p edit* oh shit, that's how the real pros do it

yeah, I'm not about to vote or anything, I'm just thinking of times I've seen the question of "should x char be banned?" come up in other games. HDR is a pretty good example - the rebalanced Akuma was initially allowed in tournaments, but the players made a very good case for why he's overpowered (including Damdai maining the character and winning tournaments with him specifically to prove his point) and ultimately a consensus was reached that the character should be banned. On the other hand, there's the case of Algol in SC4 where he was banned without any major tournaments being won with him, which split the community in half.. not to mention it was later discovered that he's not top tier. Oh yeah.. plus when SC4 was in Evo the community failed to make a convincing argument for banning Algol so he was allowed and didn't even end up making top 8. All that being said, I like that you guys are deciding it based on a vote with ppl that actually show up to tournaments :D

The rule of thumb in any FG is the char shouldn't be banned until it's been proven beyond any doubt that the char is broken. Valk has yet to be seen in high-level competetive play (i.e. placing in a major tournament) and he isn't ST Akuma or Archetype Earth levels of broken, therefor banning him now when no one really knows the matchup would be pretty silly. tl;dr: innocent until proven guilty, don't ban him fags. edit* also, what is the community at large doing? if they're allowing him then you're just shooting yourself in the foot by banning him.
