[XRD] Sin Kiske Gameplay Discussion "Playing with Poles"
RisingStars replied to Ventus Tatshima's topic in Sin Kiske
Sin Changes ? 6+P Now jump cancellable. Recovery increased from 15F to 18F. Hawk Baker Floats the opponent even when hitting from afar. Far hit untechable timing now the same as close hit. Far hit knock back distance decreased. Elk Hunt Active time increased from 5F to 6F. Recovery reduced from 12F to 11F. Hitbox and hurtbox during attack start-up expanded. Initial hit damage proration 90 added. Now floats the opponent higher on hit. Beak Driver Landing recovery removed. R·T·L Fixed bug that caused Sin to remain in place when repeating the follow-up inputs quickly. Seems like mostly good buffs, and lots of new combo route opportunities. -
Probably a widely asked question, but is netplay supposed to suck this much? I have a strong stable wired connection, and regularly play USF4 on my PC with relatively no lag for the most part. I've also played what felt to be relatively lag free 3so, ggpo, mvc2, etc. Have I just had an unlucky string of opponents with shitty connections? Or does the netcode suck? edit: I stream movies and play USF4 lag free...i mean freaking USF4 PC!, which has like the worst netcode ever. what gives with ggxrd...

interesting. I remember BLEED used to be a Johnny player? Guess the 2 characters are pretty similar...

for those looking to put an octagon gate (sanwa GT-Y) on the hrapv4/hayabusa... I don't wholly reccomend it. To hit the corners, 1,3,7,9, you really need to hit spot on corners of the octagon. This transition has made it a little harder for me to hit these inputs compared to other sticks that I have used. -

My HRAP V4 came in. No hardware store carried the same kind of screw that was originally used. Did you just get a longer screw and screwed it into the actuator? Or did you actually find longer screws with the same threading? Margatroid, I completely understand your issue now. It is not very ergonomic. Compared to the HRAP V1, the buttons themselves do not curve at the same angle. For the HRAP V4, the buttons are much more parallel to the stick, causing your arm to be much more perpendicular to the stick to access the buttons, putting some strain on my wrist. For the HRAP V1, the curved layout of the buttons allow your arm and hands to come in at a better, more ergonomic angle. -

I'm guessing the red line since that is all I see listed on their USA site, and that is what I was originally inquiring about. -

So for anyone that is still interested in a stick, I contacted Hori USA and they said that they would have HRAP 4 back in stock in February, for those that can wait a month or 2 -

Margatroid, Interesting. Is the layout much different from the HRAP1? When mine arrives, I'll let you know how I feel, but I have never felt an issue using the HRAP1, whether on a table or my lap. Maybe I am just used to it. Anyone have experience opening up and changing parts on the HRAP4 (or links to a guide?). I'd like to switch in my octagon gate as well as maybe sanwa buttons at one point. edit: actually I think I remember having a similar issue... Switching to the outer 6 buttons helped alot -

Thanks for the reply! I see, thanks! I was looking at a HRAP4 on ebay that was $178 + $10 shipping, but it just sold! Anyways, I ordered from Amazon JP to tenso, and am having Tenso ship it to me via EMS once they receive the package. How exactly is it determined what carrier I receive it ( San Francisco) once it hits the states? -

Hi Margatroid, Were you charged a customs fee for your stick coming in from Japan? Do you know if this is state by state? Anyone else know this process? -
Is Sin Kiske active in Japanese arcades? Will / is he tournament legal over in Japan? How about over in the states? these DLC stuff confuse me, I'm too old to keep up with it -__-

I see the GGXRD ps4 stick back in stock today. edit: Free ground shipping, so 216 total with tax... A bit expensive still for me to justify spending for it... but i'm getting desperate... edit: as on now, the product is completely removed from the site... finding a ps4 stick should not be this hard...i'd reckon its easier to make one...
