Hehe, I check here every once in a while. The KC thread was pretty desolate, so I just started posting any BB/GG stuff on SRK. Blargh, where do you actually live? If you're in the metro, you should make it to more hookups. It's pretty bad that I rape everyone at BlazBlue, when I'm not even that good at it. Especially bad when I beat Deron... and steal his colors. (OHHHHH -AxioM

Welcome to SEASON 2, Episode 1 of Kansas City's only Monthly Tournament Series! Venue:Toad's Pub and Perk, AKA The Daily Dose Location: 12056 W 135th St, Overland Park, KS 66221 Easy access from I-35 Highway Date: Saturday, December 5th Start Time: Doors will open for games at 12 pm Venue Fee: $5 Price per game: $10 NEW EVENT : RAFFLE MONEY MATCHES How this event works, is that by paying the $10 entry into a game, you have already bought yourself an opportunity to compete again, even if you are eliminated from the tournament. Example: SFIV has 24 entries, and you were one of them. You may be selected among the 24 people who entered SFIV, to compete in the SFIV match. Each game will have it's own match, just like this. Following each tournament, 2 players that competed will be randomly selected from a raffle to compete against one another in a FT3 match for $10. This means that even if you are a lower level competitor, you may have the opportunity to square off against someone else of your level in a chance to regain your entry money. In the event a lower level competitor plays a stronger opponent, you are getting a free lesson, and if two strong players are paired off... well that's just HYPE!!. This will be the case for each game. The money comes straight out of my pocket, so don't worry about the pots being infringed on. This is just another way to generate hype at the tournaments, and give even weaker players a chance to shine. RANBAT POTS This season, we're doing it right. Every entry fee that is collected will put $2 toward that games seasonal ranbat pot. At the end of the season, each games pot will be split 60/25/10/5. The Lineup FEATURING Tekken 6 : Bloodline Rebellion (PS3) BlazBlue (PS3) Street Fighter IV (PS3) Guilty Gear Accent Core (PS2) Street Fighter HDRemix (PS3) ALSO APPEARING Street Fighter IV 2v2 Teams (PS3) T6 2v2 Teams (PS3) We are taking suggestions for other titles. Top Tier: Nu Rachel Arakune High Tier: Jin Carl Mid Tier: Taokaka Noel Ragna Litchi Low Tier: Hakumen Bang Bottom Tier: Tager IMO the only tier that can have any changes is mid tier. Everything else is set in stone.
-
Remember that Tager doesn't have any safe block strings. If we try to throw out any of you C, D or sledge attacks either backdash or jump away. All that can be done without IBing. If you're magnetized just remember that all of your aerial moves be out AC it might require some timing but it's doable.
-
Heh well I want to fight the ones that don't. The only time I ever get to sledge in this matchup in when they end their blockstrings with 236a. If I had to choose between Rachel or Nu I'd choose Rachel everytime. Against Nu I feel like I have little to no control of the match even if I have spark bolt or if I'm up close. At least with Rachel the moment I have spark bolt they know they can't summon anything. Update: I tried punishing a spaced fork with 720 and she was outside my reach. Maybe if she was magnetized but I have my doubts I'll have to test that out when I get a chance.
-
How many reps of the clap trap does it take for carl to ko tager if Nirvana & tager have full health?
-
If they have a pumpkin out and you try sledging outside on it's range you risk eating a counter hit combo.
-
It's funny how everyone cry about how they want something different so we hand something different to them (Guilty Gear) & they claim it's too different. "What the hell man Bridget is a girl not a guy!" "There's a gay guy in here!? WHAT!" "What the hell is a slashback? That sounds dumb."
-
LOL I should of known. I just doubt I'd ever get the chance to pull that off in a match since most of the rachels I play tend to never approach me unless they have george and/or the pumpkin backing them up when I have half meter.
-
As far as I know we don't haven anything that can beat her j.2c. I do recall someone posting on here that you can backdash j.2c but you have to time the backdash really late. But anyway is there anything we can do to punish a spaced fork on block?
-
Your talkin about online play & I'm talking about tournament level play. This is two different worlds here. Why should they risk anything in this matchup for a simple mixup when they can just sit back and react to everything we do.
-
Yea but how many Nu's are gonna be dumb enough to act pulsar in 360 range? It's a great punisher but it's definetly not something your gonna see tournament level players do in this matchup.
-
Very very true. If you can try to make sure you can IB 2C consistently as well. It makes jumping in on her a tiny bit easier. Hell just IBing in general in any matchup helps alot.
-
LOL but wouldn't your backdash 720 lose to my 720. Last to arrive but first to die my friend.

While I somewhat agree that the Tager/Bang matchup is more BS than it seems at first 7/3 is a bit much. At worst its a 6.5/3.5 in Bang's favor. Tager's lack of a reliable AA and the fact that Bang 90% of the time is gonna approach in from the air with j. & j.4c really puts Tager in a bind. Tager & Arakune is most defenitly a 7.5/2.5 in Kune's favor. Kune its away with murder in the match and we have little to no choice but to let him get away with it. He spends all of his time in the air throwing out curse clouds, j.d's & dives all day. And the moment Tager gets cursed it's pretty much game. Tager & Nu is no doubt a 7/3 maybe even a 7.5/2.5 in Nu's favor. Tager's lack of well everything is just made worse in this match up. Nu is in control of this fight 95% of the time. Our sledges are easily baited, our jumpin's are bullshit easy to react to & spark bolt is worthless unless it's in a combo to an already bursted Nu. And as for Act Pulsar most Nu's aren't gonna do that to Tager because they know we're buffering a 360/720. We'll hardly see that move unless it's in a combo. That Ribaia/Galileo is a perfect example of how this match SHOULD be played. This matchup chart isn't based off your experience. It's based off cold hard facts and number. If two players of the same skill level (high level play) go against each other player one would win x amount of the 10 matches & player two would win y amount of the 10 matches.
-
No you don't need to IB 5D to 360a/720 the sledge. If you IB 5D you can also 360b the sledge as well.
-
Yea I'm curious about this as well. I really find this hard to believe that Rachel is better than Nu. Nu has so much control over the whole screen it's just not even funny sometimes. I'll post up my reasons for Nu being completely superior in my next post.
-
I think that can be said about not only Carl but the whole cast.
-
How do you guys get around Vemon's freeze ball shenanigans?
-
I know this is probably already well known but today I found out you can do a 360 or 720 motion in any direction as long as it's considered the correct motion. This helps me out soooo much in my 720 setups as I have real difficulty doing them on the player 1 side but now that I can pretend that I'm always on the player 2 side I'm not so scared of getting to predictable. But anyway this shit is awesome and it just sky rocketed my interest in tager ten-fold so I just wanted to share with u guys what I found out.
-
I'm well aware of sledging through any of his drives but my problem is that they won't use them outside of combo's so 90% of the time thats usually out. I figured out I can IB 5C and as long as they don't DP me I can get a throw off but if they start getting to predictable with that I can just start bait and punishing that but that doesn't happen to often. It just seems that when I'm against jin I'm being defensive 80% of the time, offensive 5% and playing around in neutral 15%. I at least want that defensive percentage to go down some. I tend to freak out a bit when I start flashing blue.
-
Is there any block strings that jin has that I can IB and get a 360 through. I fight 2 jin's on a regular basis. 1 of them I can get away with a little bit of BS because of his lack of knowledge of the match and the other as played me enough to pretty much stop all me offensive attempts. It seems all I do now is his there in instant block for meter all day so I can attempt to punish his random attempts to pressure me with his drives or get lucky with a random throw. I know not all the stuff he does to me isn't safe I just want to know if u guys look for certain things to punish. AND PLEASE DON'T SAY ICE CAR I THINK EVERYBODY AND THERE MOMMA CAN PUNISH THAT ON REACTION NOW!
-
Yea I know it makes me sad too. Well at least he didn't get knocked out by a Nu & most importantly she didn't win.
-
That vid prove absolutely nothing if anything it showed nu what not to do when playing against Tager
