  1. Does GG cosplay go here too? I couldn't find a thread for it, so I figure I'll just post my outfit. I've had it for a while, wore it again recently for Bridget's birthday (October 26), hence the cake. I took the gloves off because I didn't want to get cake on them. :P
  2. Isn't the default layout for most fighting games intended for pad?
  3. Still waiting for Josuke and Okuyasu with NMAAAAAAA~I as a taunt.
  4. Well, it certainly couldn't get any slower.
  5. Buruma would be bloomers, but everyone just says buruma anyway.
  6. May is totally Marika from Bodacious Space Pirates, so I assume its just anime references.
  7. Has anyone translated kumahana's Bridget changes yet? http://blog.livedoor.jp/ggxx_matome/archives/51805205.html
  8. Alternatively, they could do gag reels based on you losing a certain fight
  9. Its because BB is advertised as a fast game but its actually really slow
  10. Probably won't be as bad as the next SNK boss.
  11. When you can pick the songs anyway, I don't think its too big of a deal.
  12. Amane's Astral is closer to a Babality imo :P
  13. Sorry for replying so far back, but when we had this discussion it was 3am for me and I had to sleep :P Anyway, what do you think of Hideyoshi Kinoshita then? His voice is rather masculine, he even uses 'washi' for himself (and is the only character I can think of off the top of my head who says 'washi' and isn't an old man), but you'd be hardpressed to find someone who would say he's not a trap. There's always going to be people who find a certain character's gender obvious, but as long as there's a large number of people who get confused, its all good.
  14. Crossdressing used to be a big mainstream thing in Japan prior to the world wars (the government wanted men to want to be soldiers, and that doesn't work so well when everyone wants to be a little girl), but since then its only resurrection has come about recently as a part of otaku culture. Even then, its only really for young adults, rather than actual adults, which Amane looks like. Of course, the idea of a 'man' is more feminine in Japan, since the big bulky Zangiefs are considered the homosexual ones, but it doesn't go that far. I'd say the best example of it is probably Dante, who, while I don't think you'd find anyone who'd say Dante isn't manly in the West, is pretty close to being a bit of a poof. So yeah, while being a beautiful man who crossdresses isn't really unheard of, its not a mainstream thing, so I think he's fine under the 'trap' label, though of course he's closer to the edge with Ash than in the direct centre with Bridget.
  15. Yeah, Vega and Amane are both quite similar, given how Vega is wearing an outfit for men, and Amane isn't, and all.
  16. Really, if Ash Crimson gets called a trap, there's no way Amane isn't.
  17. Could I get a picture of Makoto laughing at Noel wetting her panties? I think it'd make a good reaction image.
  18. I played Tager in CT, and got utterly destroyed by everyone, felt like blaming the game even though I knew I just sucked and I didn't want to improve, etc., and was about to quit when Hazama first got revealed as playable. My first thoughts were 'damn, that man has style', and so, now, I play the smooth criminal.
  19. So, what happens to Eddie at the end of GGXXAC+? I haven't had enough time to play through the game multiple times with multiple characters to figure out which are the canon endings.
  20. We can get sponsorship from a few places, though, so the turnout isn't too important, esp. since both games would be expected to produce a fairly low turnout, so we're not relying on them. I'd just want people to have a good competition in their game. Btw, the event won't be for a while yet, and by that time, the casual market would almost entirely have moved on, imo.
  21. Hi everyone, I've got what at first may seem a dumb question (mostly due the lack of release of BlazBlue here (<3 Australian release dates)), but I was wondering if there is any scene at all for BlazBlue in Australia, since the ps3 is region-free I assume the GGXX community of Australia (which I sure hope exists!) would've tried it out. If not, assuming CS gets a release here, do you think the scene will take-off then? Living in Perth, I probably wouldn't get to see much of a community anyway, but I'm part of a committee trying to organize a national fighting game tournament (ala Evo, but obviously not as big since the fighting community isn't as big here), and was wondering if BB should be in over GGXX. I'd love to be able to finally do more than watch games, as well. ;_;
