  1. You can check out the evernote page I made a bit ago to get started. You will have to look elsewhere for really big combos w/ assists and whatnot however. http://www.evernote.com/l/AROHV6edsERPR6lJKqa3ml4tIuxbArTfR1Q/
  2. When you use Anna's 214AB super in a combo, ideally you want them as close to the center of the blades as possible. So try a roll or a foward dash before using it to try and squeeze out more hits. After another blood assist (the big vertical column), Anna is one of the few characters who can extend the combo after it launches. So try to use [4]6X specials (strength depends on distance) to bring them back down and see what you can do afterwards. Lastly when using variable rush (C+E), do A > A > B > C > C > A for the most damage. On a different note; I update my evernote page on Anna's BnB: http://www.evernote.com/l/ARMNQrH5IQNC2bHTzwFX97L3V3z6ZEBk9Ig/ I also made another page for Homura BnBs: http://www.evernote.com/l/AROHV6edsERPR6lJKqa3ml4tIuxbArTfR1Q/ Let me know what you guys think.
  3. The C ender is actually only ~800 damage difference. During the final last 2 hits before the finishing stab, you have to wait between A presses to let it hit more times. If you do, the damage goes from ~5.1k to ~7.1k. Its a big difference. That and having a knockdown would make me prefer A ender over C unless C ender would kill.
  4. I slapped together some notes and recorded some combos for anyone interested in some Anna BnBs. Theres probably some better stuff as I didnt really take anything away from some of the jp players other than the blast combo. Let me know if there are any problems https://www.evernote.com/shard/s275/sh/0d42b1f9-2103-42d9-b1d3-cf0157f7b2f7/577cfa644064f488
  5. In match is fine, the real problem is the how often you disconnect with someone on the other system before the match gets started. Cross platform alone has turned me off playing in 3+ person lobbies.
  6. In my opinion pressure coming from other players so far haven't been scary enough to warrant it yet (except the BS Ein level 3 stuff). I also imagine a lot of other players would rather save their meter for whatever nice setup/combo they have going on.
  7. How it looks when I try to do it: https://youtu.be/ulRB7DkowKc I think you might've just taken slightly too long aiming the shot. Will note the first attempt was me doing a shield -> roll, second attempt was roll -> shield -> roll, third attempt was roll -> roll. Also note that if Ein waits for the first roll it seems like you have to block/shield/roll dragon in the corner and will definitely be shot.
  8. I've been playing with the guy who does this setup kinda regularly (as well as helped him make it) and have tried plenty of ways to get out, and let me tell you its kinda tricky. The real problem is that I don't believe you are actually invincible during the shield (need to confirm this), as I recall being shot by the level 3 during the shield before you are free to roll. On top of that, the iceblock assist creates physical terrain that impedes your movement if your high enough above the ground (which is why he tends to do it after a knockdown) I'm gonna test to see if you can be shot during the shield before the roll to be certain though. If you can then that means the escape isnt a guarantee, but believe me, I want to be wrong. Edit: OK, just finished testing it out, using bugs assist instead to make things much easier for myself. You can be shot during the shield but before the roll. It actually ends up being a LOT of time before the roll comes out because of the slow down taking timing out of the equation. What I've ended up doing in our matches have been 1 of 3 options, most of them being kinda dicey: 1) Purposely stand block Dragon assist and attempt to guard cancel (6E while blocking) just before the Ein shoots 2) Burst right before Ein shoots 3) If your far away enough from Dragon that standing wont get you hit, use level 3 or roll twice (assuming dragon wont hit you standing inbetween roll 1 and roll 2)
  9. Can confirm that the gun assist powers up when the opponent is low health (I think <25%), but it still only shoots a single time. Instead the shot becomes much larger, hits twice for a little more than double damage, and instead of a crumple it blows the opponent away. For the shield mechanic: From what I tested so far, it seems like whenever you shield a grounded normal the opponent can then cancel that normal into a shield of their own, roll cancel, hop cancel, or cancel into a jump even if the normal isnt normally jump cancellable. When it comes to air normals the same applies, however if the opponent already used up an air option (jump/airdash) then they dont get it back and lose the jump cancel. Specials moves seem like free game.
  10. From what HeartNana posted on shoryuken
  11. Wasnt GGAC also voted on for the last evo and it lost out to MBAA? I'd call it a tad old at least compared to (most of) the other games.
  12. Tested in practice mode to make sure and both combos do indeed work off of normal hits. 3C into 214A/B/C seems to work on everyone (I originally thought it would be character specific), however I didn't try the whole cast. Also note I cant do all 6 reps of the loop so I couldn't repeat it fully. He scores 4.7k for the first one and 5.5k for the crescent loop. Seems worth loosing your DP to get those numbers off a 5B imo.
  13. I'd say Guilty Gear is better. More on topic though, I think the fact that it's old is the main reason. Since its old the player base is far to small (certainly is here on the east coast) for many tournament organizers. I doubt we'll see it at evo again unless a new installment comes out even moreso now then ever since now we have the new BB, mvc3 will be out next year, other newer would take the spot it could have (I'm lookin at you AH3), etc. Heres to hoping Aksys mans up and puts out a new GG sometime soon.
