  1. I use to do jc (jump 9 right after the throw)>j.A>j.A>j.B>j.C>j.2D>B,C bug>land>6C-loop but you can do practically any air combo you'd like...
  2. Add me to the list as well. I have some experience playing against Tao (my sister is getting better and better with her for every passing day), and I want to second the importance of 5A>6b as Dime_x stated. Also, I have found the bell-bug in combination with the "hovering cloud" (the one that sits above your opponent's head) to work really well when trying to cut down Tao's mobility, making it harder for her to control air-space. And when you have a cursed Tao and yourself on different sides of the screen, for God's sake don't loose it all to a random kitty litter-throw. I am sad to say that it has caught me a few times to many when I go for a cloud-summon...
  3. Yeah, sorry it was a typo. Do not try to write these things down when you are in a hurry. Thanks Kousaka for clearing things up. And by air combo I mean things like j.6P>jc>j.6P>236C (subpar to the others, but I started out with this one to get a hang of things.) or j.P>j.P>j.B>j.C>j.2D>B,C bug>land>6C-loop alternativly j.P>j.6P>jc>j.P>j.B>j.C>j.2D>B,C bug>land>6C-loop or whatever suits you and the combo/situation you are in at the moment. There are alot of possible variations. If you are sure of the kill it is unecessary to to the fancy stuff... like-wise if you are stressed and do not think you can land it or such things... you get the picture.
  4. The basic combos are easily found in the combo-thread, but the following are good to start with: 5C>air combo 2A>5B>5D>236B>B,C bug> air combo 2Ax1~3>2C>RC>air combo These can also, when you get the hang of them, lead to the feared 6C-loop. And while we talk about the loop... ... even though that it is recommendable that you learn it (see the combo-thread for closer details) as soon as possible it can be a little daunting at first. Until you can use it properly, though, you can always do Arakunes easier to pull off - but less rewarding - 6A-loop (j.2D>land>6P>6P bug>6P>6P bug>6P>6P bug>...). This can also easily lead to the 6C-loop when you get the hang of it; for example: j.2D>land>6P>6P bug>2B>6C-loop And once again, I really just could recommend you to go to the combo-thread for more stuff... We are all very happy to help you out if you have any more questions.
  5. I, myself, go in guns ablaze trying to land a combo directly very sparingly. Your first and foremost goal should always be to get a curse on to the opponent of which you can lead almost any hit into a combo. Just bide your time, go for re-curses and make the enemy try to come to you and take any opportunity to get past his or her defence. As CopperDabbit said, random bugs work wonders. A j.1/2/3D can as well, very easily, lead into a 6P-loop into 6C-loop. But try not to get predictable and vary your techniques; for example you can throw in a random 2C into RC if you have the heat (can lead to 6C-loop) or other risky stuff just to mix things up. Big combos aren't everything though even though Arakune sure has devastating ones. "Many small ponds make a lake" - you can chew of your opponent's life-bar a pixel at the time and still win.
  6. I usually go for zoning after a curse, trying to get a re-curse (or combo into re-curse) in. From my experience, you do not have to worry about getting close and personal during curse since that is basically what your opponent wants to do in an attempt to get rid of it. Try to make his way towards you as hazardous as possible. Just be cautious if you are facing characters like Ratchel and V-13 (or if you are fighting a mirror-match) since they can hit you out the blue from pretty much any distance, and you should be doing okay. But even if you are zoning most of the time, you can still go "all out" once in a while and attempt to throw your opponent off their guard and break their "groove". But play however you want to... most of Arakune’s attacks work great both when used on the offensive and the defensive, plus his mobility (transports, drops, fake-outs, etc.).
  7. Representing the Swedish bee-division: Faustus :: Blasfemi || Sweden And I might as well take my time to say hello to all of you guys. I am new on Blazblue, but have played Guilty Gear since X for the Dreamcast (even though I did not get "serious" about the series until XX and Zappa) and been quite active in these forums since the gamecombos.com-days. Hope to see you around on PSN and having interesting discussions here on Dustloop.com.
  8. Yes, that is me but I hardly ever play Guilty Gear anymore since I have not been able to get any later installment of the series than #R. And yes, the website was namned starship, but I can not grasp that anyone could remember that since my art was (and still is) nothing more than mediocre at best.
  9. Hello there, If anyone remember me I would be greatly surprised since I have not visited these boards in ages. But it just happened to be that I had a little piece of GG-related art that I thought that I could put up (even though it is not to good), it is a "Faustified" icon with Faust as mother Maria and Mini-Faust as Jesus. I hope that I will not insult anyone but I think that you are open-minded individuals with a sense of humour.
